My heart was in my mouth watching this, must have cost a bomb too. The trust Triple H would have to have in their equipment speaks volumes about the maintenance they must carry out of their machinery. Thank you for a very interesting video.
Thanks Annie Mac. It would be devastating to drop a steel boat even from a few inches above ground. As you say, they’ll need to check their equipment very frequently. X
Really interesting! Can appreciate the skill in getting Furor Scribendi out of the water and onto to low loader. Great to see the canals have their own library....if you get much time to read🙄
Agreed, Greg! It was quite a long process, we lost the light before they drove away. We’d never seen twin cranes working together like that off the back of trucks. Even the extending trailer was new to us!
This is right up my street! I'm a researcher & have studied astrophysics so books & stars literally float my boat! One day I'd love to see the boat when I'm out on the L&L. Can I ask what the name of the book for solo boaters is please? I think I'd find that very useful! Thank you for a fab vlog! Claire x
Again a great video guys. Utterly fantastic boat lift. Amazing job by the guys. Makes a Bridgehouse lift and shore standing look easy! Love the floating library idea and mobile observatory in Leeds. Has that been on TV? Some brain cells firing with memory of latter? I'm not great at the "big-physics" but reasonable at Computational Electro-magnetics so will research what they are doing in more detail. I'm also slowly learning how these narrow boats work and are propelled with some sort of competent control at rear. J.C. Maxwell may have an involvement in my rusty tub yet?
Very interesting guys. I don’t like libraries generally but I would visit this one. The trucks are a very good idea but I can see they would have issues with space. That planetarium bus looked like it would be fun to visit too 👍
No it’s not cheaper, but there’s no way to position a straddle hoist at this marina, so only a crane or this type of lift can be used as the boat must be lifted when parallel to the bank, rather than at right angles to it. They have used a more conventional mobile crane here for lift outs, but we thought this was something a little different!
The coordination of the hiab operators was great to watch. Lovely to see them lift the boat and maneuver it onto the low loader, great skills
Hi Gary - we were really impressed. They made it look easy though!
Wonderful thank you🙏✝️🙏
Thanks James! ❤️
That was fascinating. Thank you!
Thanks Ruth ❤️

Haha. If you can only read one Book…
As a ex hi ab driver working in tandem is a great leval of skill and trust, Well done lads
Hi Trevor. Clearly a skilled team effort. Thanks for commenting!
Some skills going on there 👍

Wow! How cool is that!! Thanks for sharing! ❤
Hiya Cousin - thanks! 🥰

We haven’t yet been able to get that Claire - we’ll ask Heather! 🥰

Thanks Paul. We’ll hopefully visit the bus when it’s down our way! ❤️
What are the advantages of this method? Can't be cheaper than straddle hoist.
