...echoes of so many better-known songs of the era; makes me wonder 'who influenced who?' and such a fine line between fame and obscurity... lesser-known songs have all the sonic qualities of their famous siblings but sound so fresh because they are new to my ears. Eternal gratitude to everyone who takes the time to find, collect and post collections like these, they're the 'Indiana Joneses' of pop archeology sourcing rare gems for our edification and delight!
I swear every genre can be traced back to 60s garage rock
This is really chilled and moody music and is much appreciated, also thanks for including all the artists.
This song reminds me of the Laugh Laugh and I am watching a Flintstones cartoon episode
Dark, noir-like music. Why this isn't played on radio is a sin, IMHO. I reckon you can personalize your playlists but, there's always something groovy just around the corner. Like this stuff here. Thank's for posting!
I loved your songs so much I put it on a cassette tape and now I can listen to them every where I go, thanks for the awesome video man!
cassettes are great because they don't crash, an underrated format
Funny how I can recognize a lot of these songs from a ton of different comps... Under the Midnight Moon, No No No, Sigh Cry Die, You Got Yours, Pebbles, Lost Gems of the Sixties, Fort Worth Teen Scene, and many others...
Nice
Love it !
The Swinging Machine play a
fantastic song, cool vocal,
good guitar and a great
melody! They make it
like the early Animals,
it push me all time with
the drive....
Just a great selection of moody songs. Rog. Pacific sunset records.
Very good selection
I love this more than I thought I would lol!
Great selects
Bad ass mix
Incredible mix. Great youtube page. Love the playlist. Subscribed!
great songs here, thanks
Thanks for this groovy stuff!
A lot of them sound like the Zombies. Or the Doors circa Soft Parade. I think melodically this is pop music, as there is very little in the way of Blues inflections in the vocal delivery. Jefferson Airplane also a big influence here. New Wave and a lot of Post Punk was surely rooted in these bands.
Great garage comp. It would take some time, effort and patience to find all these 45s individually, if you could find them. I couldn't estimate their value, but you'd have to be willing to shell out quite a few bucks.
This comp is really far out.
