I looked at the description and then looked at your comment and it reminded of an anime I think this is based of of (writing this before the story starts so I may be wrong). A man wakes up and discovers that everyone on earth excluding him is gone and time is frozen. An angel comes down to inform him that it was the work of God and that everyone was transported to another world to learn magic and learn different abilities as monsters would start to spawn on earth. God had forgotten about the man as he couldn't sense him and as an apology he sent down an angel to train him. It says in the anime that decades, possibly centuries, go by and the man learns how to utilize weapons and masters each weapon and other things. This is what I remember though some of it could be wrong. I unfortunately forgot the name of the anime though... 😢
