I had just moved to a new high school in 1988 and started listening to Leppard on the local rock station Top 20 every night. Bought the Hysteria cassette a few months later and was a fan for life.
I’m a musician and know people who have worked for and toured with Def Lep. And they all universally say the same thing: they great guys who genuinely seem to be friends and are grateful for their success. And the way they stuck by Rick Allen through his tragedy was incredible.
I am soooo in love with them. like, its not even funny how much I love them after I saw this. I would be happy for the rest of my life if I got to spend 5 minutes in the 80's with them. I just love the lifestyle.
Yeah I talked to my mom about it, all she said was "Honey, I'm really sorry your generation sucks, if I had you earlier neither one of us would have enjoyed the 80s' so I did." I laughed hysterically but I'm totally jealous that you all had it so good. Maybe I'm crazy but it seems like life was just great then.
I actually own a copy of this on VHS. My parents bought it for me off of ebay years ago! they didnt give it to me if i recall because there was a best boobs contest near the end of the video!
Ian Jefferies boy those days where good. Lots have happened since last saw you. Remember Sonya giving Joe Mickey Mouse watch. She has died 7 yrs ago but we talked of those days fondly.
@PigskinMafia I was thinking it was Reunion Arena too but I think its actually from Charlotte Coliseum which would place this in early October 1988. The upper decks at Reunion don't have the big entrance ways.
the bit at 5:03-5:07 reminded me of that part in Iron Maiden's Death On The Road special feature where Dave and Janick are "disguising" vodka as water xD
@Linda Cabral I was at that show...both nights! It was cool seeing the camera crew running around them filming for their music videos and Joe telling the audience that we were being filmed. 👍
Thank you. I'm tempted to make a huge blowout video of how much everything sucks now. Comparing and contrasting it all. So what is it I really need to add in it? I'm proving that today sucks more than hookers do.

1:20 Colin's just like whoa.. didn't see ya there...Hey,..

They opened for AC/DC back in the day. That song you heard was just the music they put on for the crowd in between the open act(s) and themselves.
I enjoyed watching these footages, including Phil's reaction towards the camera at 1:24 & 4:24.
The clothes in the 80's were much more comfortable than the clothes now
Yes they were.
Omg, Joe is freaking hot! Such a great guy. Met them in Ottawa last July. Gave Joe a pair of sunglasses
❤️❤️😳 lucky you.
Thank you for editing / splicing these clips together. you did a seamless job!
4:09 AC/DC - Shoot to Thrill! Great song!
Tell me people that grew up in the 80s, we all know it sucks today. Tell me how awesome it was back then because i already know it was amazing

Parts of Steve's last sound checks.
I actually own a copy of this on VHS. My parents bought it for me off of ebay years ago! they didnt give it to me if i recall because there was a best boobs contest near the end of the video!
Is it on dvd anywhere??
Great video! Lol that would be fun to be the person video taping it all. But if I was the person you would probably only see Sav! lol
Absolutely same here 😂 my camera would be following SAV everywhere
@@Lady_Leppard....
