Well done Hatton's, you've pushed the boundaries again. Hatton's original releases are a true bar to the industry. I firmly believe that other manufacturers need to take note of all improvements.
This was brilliant and Tony is a great modeller. I enjoy reading his material and viewing the footage on his layout. A great and enjoyable video to watch. That model is beyond words. Simply beautiful and I want one. Clint at Leila Central.
Superb models and Tony certainly knows his stuff and Ive admired his loco building skills for a while so for him to give a big thumbs up says a lot for the quality. A really enjoyable video and I would love to have Captain Cuttle in BR green with the german smoke deflectors as it was my favourite A3.
Hi there, glad you found the video useful! We will have more content on the A4s soon, so keep an eye on our website and social media channels for that. :)
well this is just awesome you’ve come a long way and I love how you’ve captured the look of the A1 and A3 will you be doing a gloss finish for one of the LNER liveries please
My favourite is "Sunstar" in the BR Express Blue livery.... The BR Express Blue livery is my favourite. I wish it was "Flying Scotsman" in that livery.
It certainly is a striking livery. We are also producing unnumbered/unnamed versions of all our A3 liveries so you could purchase the express blue model and name it as Flying Scotsman if you so wish!
Wonderful models, good video. Tony is brilliant, amusing too. He's right about idiot trespassers too re Flying Scotsman, I've friends still in the railways and tresspass in those sorts of numbers is no laughing matter - ruins it for everyone. I love 4472, but I can't understand the lineside frothing. The reference to everyone's Grandad having driven 4472 made me chuckle, a bit like the SAS - the biggest regiment in the world, as everyone knows someone that's served in '22 Reg'.
I know there is very little demand, but I would love to see some of these stateside with a center 3rd rail pickup for O gauge users in the states. Ever since MTH stopped producing there European line, there really is no way of getting engines like these here.
The finish does look very good indeed. There does, however, seem to be a little sloppyness around the fitting of the expansion link and the radius rod on most of the models.

Thanks so much for the feedback!
I just love hearing mister Wright rambling about the LNER/eastern region. He's a delight.
It was great to have Tony with us for a good long chat about the models! Keep an eye out for another video with him soon.

These really do look superb guys well done, I could listen to Tony for hours
Glad to hear it Matt, thanks for watching!
Again, a very enjoyable video. I always enjoy Tony Wright and his ‘waffling’
Thanks for watching!
Hi, having had 3 Heljan diesels that suffered split gears , i'm pleased to see that you have brass gears on the A3's & A4's.
Hi Peter, thanks for the feedback. We wanted to ensure the model was a very capable runner so brass gears were a must!
Very interesting, learnt some new things from Tony Wright so I look forward to seeing the A4's once they are done...Silver Link will be mine ;)

Hi there, we're not looking to produce a gloss liveried one at present but we could certainly look into it in future.
Alright then hopefully that could be possible sometime
Tony Wright absolutely brilliant
Glad you liked the video Matt!

Sunstar is my favorite too. I wish Scotsman and an lbscr E2 was painted in that livery as well.
Have you considered much like the GN Tender, but reboiling the top half of the model and doing an LNER A1, so the first batch of Gresley Pacific's?
Very nice video Thank you
You're very welcome Andrew, thanks for watching!
Did you ever do a feature on the A4s?
I'm an American, but once I get a proper salary and living space, I will gladly pay shipping for one of these models.
Thanks Top Bloke - we ship all over the world at competitive prices so check out our range for a great bargain.
Wonderful models, good video.

Brilliant! Thanks for watching Garvin. :)
Looks like they are missing the steps on the side of the front bumpers
Hi have you done a review with Tony Wright on the Heljan A4's yet ?

If you could make them gloss they would look a lot less 'plastic'. Maybe just Flying Scotsman
in preservation at least?

Hi Tim, bear in mind these are still painted samples and don't fully reflect the production models.
Are these models made of plastic?
I would like to have a die-cast model of a typical British locomotive.
