If it’s that risky for AJ, doesn’t it make it a good fight?
Nelson is missing a massive part of the “reward”. It’s not just money. Should AJ iron out Ngannou in easy style the comparison with Fury v Ngannou will be all anyone talks about for weeks and months to come. In fact they’ll be talking about it on this channel for ages. So that part of the “reward” is a massive deal.
AJ has signed a lifetime contract with matchroom and their job is to maximise his earning potential…Eddie will have AJ fight a meerkat if the money is right
Simon...... ngannou has "proved" his fighting grit in another area. Now hes " trying" to prove it in boxing. Had he not had the ufc cv then i agree with you. But... like it or not, nganno is a beast. Give it a chance
So they’re saying why would aj fight ngannou when he’s mandatory? Well fury is fighting usyk… TWICE. So the hw belts are held up. If they become vacant then aj will fight hrgovic for the ibf. That wouldn’t happen until later in the year… so why not take 50 million to fight a novice in between.
At this stage I feel Nelson is just being contrary for the sake of media profile. FFS it's obvious the decision to fight N'Gannou is AJ's - he's the boss! *The point is ; it's supposed to be an quick, easy cash grab / get one over Fury.* The jeopardy is if he connects on AJ? We all know AJ is NOT getting back up. Look for AJ to be far more likely to stink the joint out boxing negatively.
I find myself often disagreeing with Johnny Nelson. But on this one, he's 100% right and Eddie Hearn looks totally ridiculous and even more disingenuous than ever before! Which is some going.
Typical ol Johnny nelson. Never backed himself even when he was a boxer. Stayed in his little corner north of england no one even kew he was alive as a boxer.
Aj was never one to duck fights like fury and wilder and given the embarrassment fury did to boxing fans and boxers Johnny should be happy Aj trying to redeem the sports of boxing .
Risk reward 🤔 max money for an “easy fight” even if aj does lose he could still go on to fight wilder, fury,Parker, zhang… and still do bigger number than Johnny. they talk about francis as a novice or a beginner lol he’s a ufc heavyweight champion who’s been through more struggle than everyone in that room combined, it is not his 2nd professional fight he’s been fighting and training all his life don’t compare him to jake paul lol

No. You are a Fury hack.
Jims abit of a hall monitor, stirring the pot.
This is the only fight for AJ to make right now. If he looks impressive against Ngannou, the clamour for him to fight Fury will be there again.
If these "top boxers" cant beat a mma fighter in a boxing match, then they dont deserve the rewards. Really dont get the "risk vs reward" argument cuz aj is being asked to fight a 0-1 boxer while being paid millions and a guaranteed shot at the winner of fury/usyk and more millions if he wins.
They are all so too faced ...whenneddie was flying the flag for sky they never would have said anything bad about him or AJ..now he has left they just hate
I don’t think they’ll be that many eyes on it
When a fighter doesn’t take a fight you guys say he’s ducking. Same thing they said about Otto Wallin. He’s avoiding walking cos he’s a southpaw bla bla bla. He takes the fight and you say it’s a high rust he shouldn’t have taken it this n that. The fans don’t care about the biz part of the sport we wanna see good action. If it’s that risky for AJ, doesn’t it make it a good fight?
Ngannou sparks most heavyweights. Nelson is gassing hard.
AJ has signed a lifetime contract with matchroom and their job is to maximise his earning potential…Eddie will have AJ fight a meerkat if the money is right
Clearly AJ is a braver man that Jonny
Imagine if match room was still with Sky he certainly wouldn't be a hater then
Simon hit the nail on the head
It's been taken out of context. Give me a couple minutes and I'll explain it into the context that it was originally perceived.
Any professional boxer would step in with an mma fighter for 50million let’s be honest.
Good guy Johnny
Simon...... ngannou has "proved" his fighting grit in another area.
Johnny so used to spouting bs and hate towards Queensbury and fury he’s feeling left out now Eddie and frank are mates
Cause Johny fought bums with no risks doesn’t mean aj doesn’t take risks aj will batter Francis and show fury how to deal with a novice
Johnny said: Humbridge instead of Umbridge and Contents instead of context. Not as smart as he makes out...
If the fight was on sky, Johnny would be all over it
It is on Sky
@andrewcameron1556 you know what he means
Typical ol Johnny nelson. Never backed himself even when he was a boxer. Stayed in his little corner north of england no one even kew he was alive as a boxer.
Aj was never one to duck fights like fury and wilder and given the embarrassment fury did to boxing fans and boxers Johnny should be happy Aj trying to redeem the sports of boxing .
Stipe Miorjovick should also come to Boxing coz he Beat Nganu
I can't understand why it's only a ten rounder..?
It’s all about money
Risk reward 🤔 max money for an “easy fight” even if aj does lose he could still go on to fight wilder, fury,Parker, zhang… and still do bigger number than Johnny.
they talk about francis as a novice or a beginner lol he’s a ufc heavyweight champion who’s been through more struggle than everyone in that room combined, it is not his 2nd professional fight he’s been fighting and training all his life don’t compare him to jake paul lol
