Greeting Brother, I'm glad you did a review of this significant project, this Brother Clatta really don't know how powerful this project is. I started out with Bob Marley in the summer of 1983 with the Confrontation album, and it changed my life, "Roots Reggae" is the "World's Power", Not nuclear weapons or drunken system power controllers who present racism as a strategy to confuse and deceive the people. Moving forward in my roots reggae journey I appreciated the artist like Dennis Brown, Israel Vibration, and all other similar artist, but something was missing, so while attending one of the last Bob Marley Day celebrations at the Long Beach Arena in California I was surveying the music vendors and came across this brother who was selling reggae. I asked him about some roots that was different than the current music that was in rotation, then he handed me Midnite, "Ras Mek Peace" and said that this band is the best roots reggae around, so I purchased it, then I listen to and did not really like it. So a few years later, my Rasta buddies turned me on to them again with "Rasta To The Bone", and then it was on from there, anytime Midnite toured the Los Angeles area, we were there vibing. One time while in the restroom at one of Midnite's concert, this Brother said, " There is Bob Marley and then there's Midnite"! I had to totally agree with that assessment. Now I say there's Clatta Bumboo! The true essence of "Roots Reggae" seems to be back!
