Arizona Robbins was never rude to anyone. She was Dr. Sweetheart for reason. She was attending at a very young age while Bailey was still resident. Love her funny, kind, idiosyncratic character.
yes but also she got emotionally attached with the patient. she wants what's good for Jackson and can't accept Arizona's decision to just cut off his intestines. she's kinda in denial that his case is worsening

Right? Bailey had this special treatment thing going on where everybody took her seriously as if she was an attending already. Even in the if/then episode - she was at the meeting with Elis. Why?! She was just a resident! But there are more things like this. Like, who the hell was teaching Callie? She was always called for ortho cases even though she was just a resident. Derek, Webber, Sloan... They all were coming to her for orto consults but I've never seen any other ortho surgeon resident, let alone attending.
@@jozefpecha3020 to be fair they did kind of explain the Callie thing; in the first episode of season six, I think? Basically Callie was like an ortho super star and was running the ortho department even as a resident because the ortho attending was a ‘dinosaur’ who was supposed to be retiring but kept backing out which left Callie as a resident because there were only so many attending surgeons that the hospital could have on payroll. It’s still a half-assed explanation though, because a hospital of Seattle Grace’s size and supposed status should have had more attending orthopaedic surgeons than we ever see (the same can be said for all of the sub specialties of surgery, though), AND Callie would have had to have done at least a few fellowships after her residency for her to be able to operate on as many different cases as she does, which we never see (again this is something that is not shown for a lot of the surgeons that started as interns and residents on the show). Plus, the explanation that Callie had been running the ortho department doesn’t really fall in line with the storyline in season 4 that showed that she struggled as Chief Resident because she didn’t like the administrative side of it, and only wanted to cut- although again this doesn’t exactly track in real life, because chief resident really usually means “in their last year of residency” for surgical residents, so the whole competition thing didn’t really track- that’s something that’s more used in internal medicine and paediatric medicine; although again the amount of times these surgeons are on the diagnostic team and on the ongoing treatment team, it’s no wonder the writers confused everything into one medicine sounding hodgepodge.
OMGGGG I just noticed Arizona is already an attending at Season 5, while Bailey was still a resident. But the way she treated Arizona hauahausus and can't believe Arizona will become Callie's lover at that time 😍
@@someone-ih3tu I disagree, she was just dealing with it. Arizona acted like just because Callie wasnt on the plane, that it wasnt still traumatic. I miss Arizona so much 😩 They never should have gotten rid of her character so they could pay Ellen more and introduce more interns we don't care about.
The thing I love about the final scene is that Arizona knew she was right but she still gave the referral anyway. She was confident but not arrogant and taught Bailey a well needed lesson that the other attending as failed to do.

Bailey was younger than her it's mentioned
I think it’s weird how Bailey is that disrespectful towards Arizona even though she is a resident and Arizona’s an Attending

isn't weird that bailey treated arizona as if she was the attending. I just noticed this now that I'm rewatching season 5
