Bluegrass is the most exciting genre right now. So many amazing players, both young and old. New influences are blurring the lines similar to rock in the late sixties and early seventies.
First time I heard this was early 60’s by the “Darlings” on Andy Griffith. This is the first time in all those years that I have actually been able to understand the lyrics. Well well done. Thank you so much.
I loved the Darlings and it was an introduction of this music to that young boy I was way back then. And, of course, there were also those visits of Earl and Lester to the Clampetts! Also watching was a kid a few years younger than me by the name of Béla Fleck.
Vážení a milý hráči bluegrassu k tomu to by jste se zase měli vrátit !!! To je nesmrtelná klasika !!! Hrát stále dokola Scruggse, Dillards, atd… není vůbec ostuda. Zdravím Vás z České republiky z druhé bluegrassové velmoci na světě 🫡🇺🇸🤝🇨🇿🤠🪕🎻🔥
Amazing how popular Bluegrass is in Czech Republic. We had one of your wonderful bands called Jumper Cables playing here at our annual Rootsinpyhtaa festival in Finland. The band was awesome!
Awesome cover of this great old tune! Super fun to see some music powerhouses doing what they do best. Was that a Spicoli T-shirt Sam Bush is wearing? 😂
What a wonderful rendition of this great old song. I first heard it as a child on the Andy Griffith show. Andy sat in with Denver Pyle and the Dillards. This version is so good. Thank you!
Love the sound and musical craftsmanship in this rendition - the two key changes during the song to better match respective vocalists and instrumental breks were so seamless and fittingly perfect as to only be noticeable after I'd heard this a couple of times and was looking for them.
as good a rendition of Dooley as I have ever heard. The key changes were great . I wish they had a solid end instead of the fade out but thats just personal :)
Did I mention they was gonna play "Never Hit Your Grandma With a Great Big Stick", but that one always makes Molly cry...... 😂
No one talks about the Darlings anymore...
@@LabonWolf I do.
Lol
Classic!!
All-star line up
and Bronwyn Keith-Hynes!
The lovely Bronwyn.
Well done! Harmonies are outstanding! And I'm glad they didn't play it like their hair is on fire!
It's good that the bluegrass songs from years gone by aren't forgotten - a lovely rendition of this Dillards number!

Second that!

I love that Episode. I believe Opey sings lead on that tune. 😅
NICE! Mix in a little Molly and Bronwyn and you can never go wrong! 😉
Some of the finest vocals and music
I’ve heard in a long time.
Thanks Tony & Crew! A national treasure.
We love ya'll 😘 👍👍👍👍👍

Pure stuff. Tears in my eyes. No doubt the Earl tribute will be another masterpiece like “Shall We Hope”. Thank you so much.
Love this song! Sam Bush and Molly Tuttle do it fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
I have no words... Just been blown away. I've heard a whole bunch of excellent bands and now this. Unbelievably perfect in every way.
Yes sir- mighty fine!! 🪕🪕
THANK You ... for not going all "Bluegrass Junkshun" on this .. Beautifully done.
Andy Griffen would be so happy to hear this.
I'm such a big fan of the way Sam Bush stuck very close to the iconic Dean Webb mandolin break
And... That's How Ya Do It!!🎵🎶🎵
Making Ernest T proud! ❤️
Love, love, love ❤️
Best version I've heard of Dooley in a long time.
A sentimental song about a moonshiner? Yes, and it works.
The fentanyl dealer of the old days.
Awesome cover of this great old tune!
Super fun to see some music powerhouses doing what they do best.
Was that a Spicoli T-shirt Sam Bush is wearing? 😂
This is the good stuff.
Sweet!!!
Wonderful!

Nice! Didn't see you joining in on the chorus, Tony! Good picking and I like that chord modulation!
Good nice arrangement ......makes me proud to be eccentric musical snob
Nice hint of Foggy Mountain Breakdown after the credits. Always leave them wanting more.
Looking forward to getting the album.
Love seeing y’all have fun playing this wonderful piece that I first saw on the Andy Griffith show! Nice tempo too.😊
Big Man From Syracuse!
Certainly is! CNY well represented with him.
Fresh arrangement. What a treat!
Lovely 🎶🙏😘
One fine quartet doing a Darling’s number from about 60 years sgo.
Molly’s voice is maturing beautifully. She might even surpass Rhonda Vincent in the years to come.
what an absurd comment.

Now it all makes sense.
Made my day! 😊
You guys and gals are having too much fun! Great musicians all and a great performance.

Like that little bit of clogging by Mark Astaire Schatz!
“Stomp us a chorus, Jed!”
Different but I like it 👍👍
Absolutely fantastic.....who in the world is that on Sam's tee-shirt?
I've played this on repeat. It is excellent!!
Question: Who is on the shirt Sam is wearing?
Sean Penn, possibly as Jeff Spicoli.
Great Dillards tune
👍👌💪❤
Is Sam wearing a Jeff Spicoli shirt? What is the caption? Dope?
I am wondering the same…but I think it says Hope…
Wonderful. But they forgot to credit the vocalists other than Molly. Fantastic harmonies.
I'm a dancing
Excuse me. Mf’n BKH on the fiddle. Hello
