Almost every animated kids show in the 90's and early 00's did a "cursing" episode. . . Spongebob did one, Powerpuff Girls did one. . . And we always loved them.
Even Tiny Toon Adventures had an episode where Buster helped break Fowlmouth's habit by bringing babies around. Dot went off in an Animaniacs special where Pinky & the Brain commented that she might grow up to be like Slappy Squirrel.
Except, SpongeBob “Sailer Mouth” episode at least felt like it had some sort of innocence to it, and was really a portrayal of when a young child hears a word for the first time. Never seen the power-puff girls one, so can’t say. This one is just plain bad. Funny, but the writers should probably think about the age of their audience before adapting an R-rated script.
There are a few shows that producers crossed the line for! Steven Universe had LGBTQ+ characters, even when a board from Cartoon Network told Rebecca Sugar not to. She said, they're actually rock aliens, not technically people do therefore can't date and gender! They're rocks! I love that courage because it helped a lot of good people accept themselves and learn more (Edited to fix autocorrect mistake)

It’s stupid but it might be because the dolphin noises are less “clear” than the beep ones. Kinda like when you have something charged for 19.99 bucks instead of 20 and people fall for it, if you catch my drift.

Growing up gives you a whole new admiration for the animation and sound direction. It's awesome the way Dee Dee tiptoes up to Dexters door and slyly draws her eyes to the knob. Even the music coincides with what she's doing.
It's also notable how much she respects her brothers craft, given that this was a newly made and completely untested device. Or she's not smart enough to realize that the thing could just maim them because it hasn't had the kinks worked out yet.
Back when they didn't have to worry about people being offended over nothing. The people that hire the writers wouldn't fire them because they themselves are the ones that would green light such things.

I heard a while ago that the Bugs Bunny cartoons were made for the adults making them. It makes sense. I connected a lot more with the humor when I got older, and most of them made me laugh harder. As for Dexter's Laboratory, I was an adult when I first saw it, and I already thought it was funny and carried the adult appreciation vibe. So it's no surprise to me that they made this episode for the hell of it.
