Since you liked the studio version when you get a chance, do yourself a favor and check out the official live for Cloud Factory. I actually prefer the sound of it over the studio version. It's from a later concert after their rhythm guitarist Dmitry Oksen had left, so Roman and Eugene had to rework the guitar and bass a bit and I think they did a fantastic job. On top of that, Vlad (in my opinion their best drummer) was with them by the official live. The studio version is great, but compared to the live it sounds a little over produced. Great reaction as always, thank you!
I completely agree. The way that Roman and Eugene reworked this is amazing. And Vlad on drums... I adore the studio version, but the official Napalm live takes it to the next level.
Yeah...they did the damn thing! Older Jinjer had a second guitarist which helped to fill out their sound. They use backing guitar tracks in spots now on their newer stuff. No shame in it...a lot of bands do it. Just wanted to point that out in case you didn't know. You should give the official live video of Cloud Factory a watch next! It's their current lineup and they all KILL IT...again!!!
it's never too late to appreciate Jinjer's musicianship!!!!! thanx for your reaction ant interest in this wonderful Band Jinjer and yeah like Eqgilethan said > Cloud Factory (Official Live Video) warm greetings from the german musician
By the way Monday is your day now I a wait the for bad water no growling just Tati sining and a super funky grove. So you have only scratched the surface of what this band can do. I'm waiting for next Monday. Peace from Alaska
This is a very early song with Tati as the lead. Glad isn’t behind the drums and there was a second guitar player at the time. Try Sit Stay Roll Over or On The Top videos to see their evolution.
Indeed, the older Jinjer stuff is more guitar dominant as Oksen and later Roman were the core songwriters back then. More straightforward drums, more bass lines that follow the guitar parts. Jinjer Jr. is rad, but the band has definitely grown up quite a bit as individuals and musicians since. It's been cool to watch happen over the years
Brother and now you know this is by far my favorite Jinjer song. Damn I was so excited to see this. Ha I forgot. It's Jinjer time and I will always be here for that. This hole album is epic. There's so much more to see can't wait to take the journey with you. Thanks for the shout and as always . Peace from Stan the Alaskan. Channel is coming soon Alaska life.
@@sincityreacts6114 this hole album is the band as a 5 piece but the band now is even better. By the way the solo is the only one that they have done. Bad water is amazing to no growling just Tati sining. The album Macro is a very good one as well . Just a thought you might be able to do the double video a live and a studio just a thought you will get us Jinjer fans to the channel in droves. Peace from Stan the Alaskan and I would never stear you wrong with this band.
In my opinion one of the technically best bands and best group of musicians ever put together. I got turned onto these guys about 3 years ago and I can't stop listening to em almost every day. What surprises me is I never cared for a rock band that does the style of music until I got turned down to Jinjer, by the way I'm over 60 years old.
Okay, so what you were noticing is the influence their old guitarist Dmitry Oksen had on the band. At that time, he was the band member with the most seniority, followed by Tatiana, and while I can't prove this, I wholeheartedly believe that he was running things when it came to song writing. Once he left, you will notice that on their first album with only 1 guitarist, Eugene's (the bassist) bass playing gets more elaborate to take up more space in the song. Then when Vlad (their current drummer) came in, you can tell that their song writing was heavily influenced by him, as their songs stopped sounding traditional, and more proggy. While I still like most of their music, I personally like the older traditional style, as some of newer songs just sound like randomness to me and I can't really groove to it. That said, it would be hard for me to complain and say it was a mistake to change their sound, when their success really took off once Vlad joined the band and their style changed.
For sure two different sounds. The old jinjer is heavy and like you said more to the point. I’m enjoying the old school Jinjer. I wanna hear a newer Jinjer song so I can compare.
the live version of this with Vlad and with Roman on his own is good too. in fact the section with solo I think sounds better with the slower kick pattern and no second guitar. It just breaks down into Eugene and Vlad chugging along in the background. Much simpler. The vocal performance in that video is good too and sexy? That live video is eye candy when it comes to Tati.
you still have another month or two to go believe it or not. And you haven't really heard anything from them yet that would make you say "that sounds like this other song they do". Everything is just different enough. I don't think you've done Home Back, Captain Clock, On the Top, Retrospect, Ape, yet.
On the Top live Kiev from the same show as Pit of Consciousness
Jinjer - Captain Clock (Official Live at Resurrection Fest EG 2018)
This is STILL my favorite Jinjer song after listening to them for the last 5 years.
I love this video so much. :)

It's amazing how great the guitar solo sounds backed only by bass & drums!
Definitely will take a look at the official live

Since you seem to really like older Jinjer, you should definitely check out “Exposed As a Liar”!
Is it just as good or better than Cloud Factory? Lol
