I more of a league guy aswell but I still watch a lot of AFL. Both games are incredible in their own right. Sad that most people pick one or the other. Don't know what they are missing out on

Just watching these highlights now after the Lions won the GF and its amazing that they won this game. Lions were 13th after 5 or 6 games and half way through the season they weren't even expected to make the top 8. This has to be one of the best GF wins ever wouldn't it?

Possibly the only correct option to truly make this game the stuff of legends. And with Ashley's former teammate and current coach of the opposition unable to watch, he absolutely nailed that shot as the match earned its name in the excitement: "The Miracle on Grass"

Growing up half my family was Carlton (all the boys) and half was Fitzroy ( all the girls) so out of respect for my Mum the Lions have always been second favourites, even though they piss me off beating the Blues in finals over and over again. I think they can go all the way if they can play more than half a game as they did against my mob and on the weekend.
