I think it's brilliant. The whole spiel. Every bit of it. But it's really just a sort of Charlie Chaplan of the modern age, right? It's a great sort of reimagining but I can't say it's 100% original, yeah? I'm not trying to discredit anything. I think it's the most brilliant thing... especially because the performance is done so well. It's like if Trevor Phillips from GTA were a prop comedian... something twisted, unexpected and almost a little dangerous.
His character didn't have to audition. You look at him once, and the fact that he can't answer any demographic questions at all doesn't hurt his audition. The fact he can't answer any question doesn't hurt his audition. You look at him, and you want to know more. YOU want him on the show. He doesn't need to try to be there. It's genius.
How do you even describe this character? When he first came on stage for the first time, it was almost frightening, yeah? Like "Oh god, look at this psycho." Then over time he became, of all things, lovable? How amazing is that? Without ever saying a word he expressed a deep understanding of feeling, comedy, social perception and character. He's wild, random, but most of all, talented. He's a very talented comedian.
I think it's nothing more than living room charades. Don't see the point of it.
