Indeed! Marcus is quite correct. Blue book regs state explicitly, unless crew of cashed car are already displaying “OK”, first car on scene MUST stop to render assistance as needed. Second car to proceed to next emergency radio point to report the situation. Systems such as RalliTrak can short cut the second car travelling time by enabling the incident to be reported direct to one of the radio cars dotted along the stage, by hand-held radios carried in each car. The radio cars then have direct reporting to rally control and stage commanders, etc. All crews subject to a delay caused by such humanitarian action or stage blockage, will be credited with a notional time for that stage. Usually the time posted by the last car to complete the stage prior to the incident, provided that was clearly not an anomalous slow time. In which case the previous car’s time used, etc.
Hi Tom. The organisers try to compensate you by giving you the time of the last car through but in this case it was 20 seconds slower than the time that we would have done. It’s a tricky one…
I'm always curious to what a rally driver thinks when they see spectators giving the desperate slow down signal. and not from a Marshall. Aside from the obvious of course.
I think you just wonder what you are going to come across around the corner.... Sometimes it's just a car stopped on the outside of the corner and then, very occasionally, it something like this
Very good sportsmanship mate, very kind of you to stop and help
It’s in the rules, cars must stop unless the crew of the crashed car indicate they are ok.

Exactly this Henry
You were going really well in there but true sportsmanship and kindness.
Anyone would stop
Good for you! I salute your kindness. Thank you.
Great sportsmanship ! Nice for you to help other drivers
You just hope that someone will return the favour one day..
@@davidhenderson5549 I'm sure you will have it someday. Keep up the good work !
Heck that stage was fast. What 5 corners or something, otherwise warp speed
Thats a crazy driving meeeen !! ✊
Amazing driving
I always think they should be given the option to keep a sector time in situations like this.

Nice start
Thank you much for stopping to help the other team. Were they OK?
All good. Were out of the car already by the time we had stopped
How fast did that second chicane come up 😳😳
It was placed too early after the corner. Everyone was expecting it later and I think the first car destroyed it so it was open for everyone else
Sportsman. Salut!
Do You have biger restrictor? The car goes like hell. Nice driving and very good sportsmanship.
