Absolutely! I grew up this way too so I think sometimes I take how special it is for granted as if every kid gets to enjoy farm life like this. It’s so special! Thanks so much for watching! ❤️
Your bread looks great! But you’re not alone in the bread department. My teen daughter prefers homemade bread, the younger two prefer store bought - you can’t please everyone all of the time I guess 😂
My farm fun, in my young years, was visiting the Hoppe cousins during the summer! Now it is fun visiting the Moran farm! My husband calls it ranching with Darrel!
I enjoy watching your videos right before bed. How I wish I was your neighbor to get some cucumbers. My daughter loves them and eats one per day so we are always buying them! Definitely going to try the cucumber onion recipe. 😊
I sure enjoyed watching you, your husband, and children on your farm. Thank you for sharing, love watching you cook too, and that bread looked so yummy! I appreciate all the great recipes, can't wait to try them!
Love your farm family life Lauren, thank you for sharing! I'm intrigued by your homemade mayonnaise each time you show us because the egg yolk is left raw. I'm assuming it is safe and maybe 'pastureized' by the vinegar? Maybe others are curious about this too and you can touch on this when you talk about your homemade mayonnaise again in the future. Thank you and Happy 4th!😊
The egg “cooks” with the warmth of the blender, or so I have been told. Homemade mayo is so yummy! Plus you eat raw egg if you like to sneak cookie dough while making them. Sooooooo there’s that.
Thank you so much! There are many opinions on the internet about raw eggs, lol! I think the only "safe" egg is a pasteurized egg (BUT this does not necessarily include all store-bought eggs if understand correctly). I choose my freshest eggs for my mayo and I know the health of my own pasture raised chickens so I'm comfortable with it. I will say I've also read that the acid in the vinegar and the lemon juice help to kill any present bacteria in the yolk. Definitely encourage you to do your own research and make that decision for yourself but it works well for us and it's delicious with simple, healthy ingredients. Thank you so much for stopping by and chatting!
Bellissimo!!!!!
I keep experimenting with sandwich bread recipes; and haven't found one yet that is just right. Still a little too heavy or dense. I am not a farmers wife; life didn't take us in that direction. I was raised on a small homestead with animals, chickens and huge garden. Retired now; but like a simple life, cooking and baking; being in the mountains.
Simple life in the mountains sounds quite charming to me!! Thanks for sharing! Hope you find the perfect sandwich bread soon! I’ll have to keep trying here too! 😉❤️
I’m a farmers daughter… I didn’t always embrace the life then, but now, looking back, I wouldn’t trade it for anything! It was amazing and now I miss it! 🥲
Im a farm wife! My husband, and i, along with our youngest son all farm together It has been so rainy here this year as well. Today we are finally cutting our first hay down. Its so wet underneath but at least its a windy day...so that will help. I just love your videos and that you always have a good attitude! That was not always the case with me through the years and i regret that. With all the hard work every day, its easy to forget what a blessing this is! You have helped to remind me of that....THANK YOU!
I’m so glad to hear that, thanks for sharing! 🥰 I do try to keep it positive most of the time but I’m definitely not perfect at that either! Some days are just hard and frustrating around here! 😅 thanks so much for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment ❤️
hey girl- loved the video😀😉 Such yummy recipes- that bread looks amazing😋 I would pick that over store bought😁 Always enjoy seeing the kiddos- and the outdoor life. Such a pretty area. Y'all have a blessed weekend🥰
I totally understand about the bread! I have 4 boys, I like to make sourdough for the gut benefits (and my husband and I love it) and they just aren't having it. I even found a very mild sandwich bread sourdough recipe and nope! They want store bread only... 😂 Same thing with milk, we purchase raw milk, they want store 2% milk. I can't win 😵💫
Maybe you can help my family with this question since you run a farm. When we drove through Missouri and other farming states, all we saw were soy bean and corn fields. Why do so many American farms grow these crops and not the vegetables that are better for us to eat? I believe we have to rely on other countries for that.
I think that is a great question and I’ll do my best to answer (although I won’t claim to be an ag expert!) In short, soybean production is largely used in the production of animal feed here in the states. It’s a good source of protein. Also, the US exports a lot of soybeans. Soybeans are used in a lot of different products too (just Google all that they’re used for and I’ll bet you’ll be surprised). To answer your question about vegetables we consume, I did a search to see where green beans are grown and was surprised to find that the US actually grows 60% of the worlds crop! That’s still a huge chunk of veggies! I enjoyed your question and it makes me want to continue to learn more about American agriculture too!
We farm also and grow corn, soybeans and alfalfa. All our crops are used to feed our animals. However, about 30 minutes so from me is a Delmonte plant. They grow a lot of sweet corn and beans in that area for crops and also a lot of potatoes in our area. Probably a lot of thw soybeans you are seeing are for animal consumption.
My daughter grew up on a farm, and she wants a farm of her own one day, to raise her future family. I wouldn't trade those days for anything!!!
It's the best! I hope that dream comes true for her too!
The daddy & daughter shot at the end really touched me 🥹. I am still a daddy’s girl and miss my dad EVERY DAY at age 74 ❤
🥰❤️🥲 so glad that scene touched you. My girl is for sure a daddy’s girl too! Thanks for watching!
YOUR BREADS 🍞 LOOKS YUMMY YUMMY NICE JOB 😋 #NOT A DAY WITHOUT JESUS 🙏
Thank you 😋 ❤️
Beautiful hard working farmer's wife ❤
Such a dream! Thanks so much!
Making such beautiful memories for the children on the farm !! 💙💙🩷🩷
Absolutely! I grew up this way too so I think sometimes I take how special it is for granted as if every kid gets to enjoy farm life like this. It’s so special! Thanks so much for watching! ❤️
I aspire to live on a farm someday!
Love to hear that! It’s a special thing! ❤️
Your bread looks great! But you’re not alone in the bread department. My teen daughter prefers homemade bread, the younger two prefer store bought - you can’t please everyone all of the time I guess 😂
Maybe all we've done so far is make more work for ourselves lol! Glad it's not just us! Thanks for stopping by!
We make the same cucumber recipe! We also add a tsp of celery seed! SO GOOD!
Yum! My bread and butter pickles have celery seed, will have to try adding that to these too. Thanks for watching and for the suggestion!
My farm fun, in my young years, was visiting the Hoppe cousins during the summer! Now it is fun visiting the Moran farm! My husband calls it ranching with Darrel!
Lol love it! 🥰 Ranching with Darrel is the best! Thanks for watching!
Same here with my family and bread! 😂 My husband also finds it amusing. We farm in Missouri as well… so I feel your pain on the rain/no rain!
The struggle is real! lol! Glad it's not just me! Hope you all have a wonderful 4th!
With all them cucumbers, you can make juice out of them for the summer. It’s so delicious.,
I’ll have to try that sometime! Thanks for watching and sharing!
Cucumbers and sliced onions are also *delicious* with sour cream and fresh dill! I eaten this "salad" since I was a wee lassie!
Yes, love that classic too! Great for gatherings! I may have to make that one soon too! Thanks for watching and sharing!
I enjoy watching your videos right before bed. How I wish I was your neighbor to get some cucumbers. My daughter loves them and eats one per day so we are always buying them! Definitely going to try the cucumber onion recipe. 😊
Oooh definitely do, it's like summer in a bowl! So yummy! Thank you so much for watching!
You have a beautiful family and a beautiful homestead!! Homemade bread is the best!!! God bless.
Thank you so much! ❤️🥰
Oh the bread comments! Regular bread 😊 children lol. I'll take home baked bread any day!
Me too! 😆 especially when a loaf at the store is getting to be pricey compared to mine! 😅 Thanks for watching!
I grew up on a farm and I am so grateful for the experience and the things that I learned from my dad
It’s a special upbringing for sure! 🥰 So many good memories, hard work ethic and life lessons on the farm. Thanks for watching!

I just started sourdough this year. My 6 year old doesn’t like my bread but my 2 year old likes mommy’s bread. So I’m right there with you 😂
It’s a struggle lol! Glad I’m not alone at least!

Guilty on the cookie dough for sure! ;) Most homemade ice cream recipes from my grandma's generation all had raw eggs in them too!
Wowzers - those breads look fantastic! I can almost smell them - LOL! You're living the dream!
I think so! 🥰 Thank you so much for watching!

Have the boys read the ingredients for factory bread. The chemicals the can't pronounce might change their mind
Maybe I should discuss that with them since they’re getting old enough to understand! 😅❤️
