This video had clips of the Strasburg Railroad from June 28th and 29th. On June 28th, I rode the on "The Road To Paradise" once again. I recorded parts of the train ride as well as departure from East Strasburg and the arrival at Leaman Place Junction. Later that night, we caught the 7:00 train pull into East Strasburg and then #90 head into the engine shed for the night after hauling passengers all day. The next day, we caught a very unusual and very cool sight on the Strasburg Railroad. It was Nickel Plate Road #757 being hauled down the Strasburg Railroad line to Leaman Place for test running. Old number 757 was hauled by Strasburg Railroad's #8618. We caught the 757 at East Strasburg, Esbenshade Road, Cherry Hill, and at Black Horse Road. The engine was being test ran down the Straburg line because it is being restored cosmetically, and once cosmetically restored would return by rail to Bellevue, Ohio where it will be displayed. After catching #757 and #8618, we caught #90 pulling out of the shed of the days runs. Also, we caught another cool sight, #90 pulling #89 out of the shed to help with the runs so one train could run on the hour and one on the half-hour. It was an epic two days of railfanning at the Strasburg Railroad!
At least 765 runs every year and comes to Ohio like it did last year and going to this year.
Well a berk on the road to paradise... never thought I’d see that! But anyway good catches! Great video!
Thank you, I was surprised as soon as I saw 8618 pulling it into east strasburg
I found this video very fascinating! Thanks for sharing it! I especially like the yard movements with #90 pulling #89 out of the yard.
TrainFanatic I'm glad you enjoyed! Ya, it was cool to see a steam loco pull another steam loco out of the shed

Magnificent footage, thoroughly enjoyable. Visited there back in 1982. Just subscribed. Greetings from the Train Lord in South Australia a long way away from this epic action.
Thank you very much! Left you a sub!
Nvm, I now have one question!
What if Strasburg had the idea to restore 757 and run her on the Strasburg Railroad?
Farewell #757 i will miss seeing you in Strasburg, see you in Bellevue, Ohio.
Corey Page yep
Very cool. Of course, when I was there 475 and 90 were undergoing inspections, so 89 was the only engine running trains. It was a great day nonetheless.
Thank you!
@31:39 the smoke from the diesel almost gives the illusion that 757 was under steam. Also nice catch.
B&O 7611 Thank you! I didn't notice that illusion until you pointed that out.
It does
I had no idea she went to Strasburg!
The locomotive had been on display there for over 50 years
I kinda wish Strasburg would buy and restore the 757. That would be awesome
Ford Lover that would be cool
Nice seeing 757 going to a newer, better home. I’m planning on seeing the 765 this fall at CVSR and looking at the possibilities of visiting Strasburg next summer.
K9Nick811 cool!
I feel bad for NPR #757 because it's coming apart.
I REMEMBER SEEING THE NICKEL PLAYE ROAD STEAMER AT THE MUESEM WHEN I WENT TO STRASBOURG! I even hav a picture of it on a siding outside of the muesem!
WUT RKProRacer Cool!
Catch A Train Railfan Productions ik everything at Strasbourg and the PRR museum is
4:38 is a shot of the reading switcher that used to run. It's sad to see it in the condition it is in now
SID THE DESTROYER!!! Yes it is sad to see
@@CatchATrainRailfanProductions I'm glad K&L trainz made a model of it, now we have something to remind us of what used to be.
SID THE DESTROYER!!! Yep
This video had a tour and railfanning.
Thanks for being my 100th sub!!
Cpt. Tank Traincraft No problem!
4:39 Hey look its reading 1187, Canadian Pacifc 972 and the tender of 7312 hopefully in the not to distant future 972 will be restored back to service and head back to where it operated before heading to the Strasburg railroad for repairs, the tender returned to see 7312 amd maybe be brought back to service, and 1187 getting a cosmetic restoration and perhaps be out on display across the street where the pennsylvania State railroad museum is where 1223 and 7002 are on hopefully 1187 will be display in doors instead of outside where it has been since the early 70s so it won't look terrible again after some time has passed
I saw the same thing vice versa with #90 pulling out #89
TSMGL cool
BEST EVER!!!!!!!!!
Looks like N&W 611 is not the only biggest steam locomotive in Strasburg.
That's so cool! Great video!
IsaiahsTrains Thank You!
Awesome!
The Carolinian Railfan Thank you!
Nice catches!
Thanks!
Never knew that ever in Strasburg
great video. But why was the NKP #757 there? Did it need repairs? I'm confused
Too bad 757 didn't run here. If anybody restore 757 it's Strasburg. That'd be great and my favorite locomotive operating. OH WELL
MPT 765 well at least there cosmetically restoring it
Operational restoration would be far better
MPT 765 yes it would
Andrew Lieb I wish they could restore those PRR engines again. I loved them both, especially 1223. I like the d16sb class a lot. I think it would be nice of Strasburg to have a PRR locomotive as the railroad is in Pennsylvania and has no locomotives from the PRR. It would be nice to see one of the PRRs run again on the Strasburg
Andrew Lieb it’s actually in Fort Wayne Indiana but yea
Like the boxcar at 32:20
@3:19 Harry Potter reference
WE Trains yep
There were also timecards in this video.
Nickel Plate Road 757 was not powered but was being hauled by 8618.
woxof6969 yep
