A real HAPPY 74th Birthday to Mr. James Whiting aka Sugar Blue and really ALL the best to him ... (2023-1216)
Simplement c'est magnifique j'adore ❤❤❤❤❤
Bravissimo!!!!!
Used to see Sugar Blue every week at Rosa's in Chicago for years!!
I saw him about half a dozen times including a couple shows at Buddy Guy's Legends. Got him to autograph a tshirt too, which an ex-gf decided to keep.
Maddening harmonica display. Never seen anything like this. Unbelievable. Genius. Relentless entertainer. Incomparable. Masterclass. Imaginative. Gutsy performance. Energetic and powerful. Beyond compare. 🔥🔥💪💪❤️❤️😀😀😀😀
Ditto
Sugar Blue makes that harp sing crazy. In the presence of genius.
Yes I only dream of this. Yes play harp too.
Sugar is nice guy and great musician collegue. We met back in the days. at the A-Trane when our Bro .Mark Bell was still alive and also living in Berlin!
Hope we meet again before we finally meet in heaven again!
🙌❤️🙏🕊️🤗
I'm gonna learn this
I've been playing harmonica for just under 15 years...and I just spent about half an hour figuring out _five seconds_ of this by ear!
You have always amazed me, so I'm practically glowing about the fact that I can _finally_ figure even a few tiny pieces of what you do.
3:46 - 3:51 is now officially in my own bag of tricks! For that, sir, I thank you sincerely...and I promise to tell people where I got it!!!
I know very well whose house I'm in, and I'm only too happy to point others in the direction of the giants on whose shoulders I stand.
Your a true musicians
That low end harp chording on the 365 playing is absolute FIRE! Fantastic. Takes a bit of wind to blow that thing like he does.
Farts?
I think he is actually playing the 12-hole 364... the 365 has 14 holes... I could be wrong... I have a 364 that I bought many years ago... I sealed the wood comb years ago because it was a bit leaky... I don't play it much, but it still plays great... it's great that we have so many choices of lower-pitched harps to buy these days... I have a bunch of them !
That was amazing. Wow!!!
Wild ❤❤❤❤
Super interpretación al mejor estilo y expresividad de Sony Boy Williamson 2
❤ Congrat's from Brasil!
Watching from Ireland
Yes my friend U R the BEST
What Beauty! what Music! what Blues! A Greek friend, Demetrios.
Fantastic playing. I miss my big harp. The song reminds me of the tune "getting out town."
Best harmonica player ❤️
Best was James Cotton or Carey Bell !
@@igorbolotovski7007No, YOU ARE WRONG!! It was Lawrence Welk, so shove it, mr know it all..
Toots!
Epic!
As are you Mr. Gussow!!
Sounds a lot like my Marine Band in ‘C’. Got it for Christmas in 1966 when I was 5 and still my go to. Sure can’t play like this gentleman though, just a hack on it.
Thank you. That opened a knot.
WoW!! Merci !
Cool
Me derrite de pies a cabeza 👌🍾🥂

& Soul
The sound is not coming strong on my receiver.
Hey Sug, what type of harmonica is that? Steve Baker Special?
Very awesome performance!
Hohner 364
@@formansbasement2311what key is ha playing in
Is he really small or is that harmonica really big
✊😁
If you thought this was something to listen to . Hahahah. Take my advice and listen to John Mayall’s versioin of this song from the Beano Album. It will blow you away !
John Mayall wasn't a great player. But he was an awesome band leader.
I wish Hohner would resurrect the 14 hole 365
The clapping is annoying
Always is.. I agree.
the peeps trying to make it about themselves... same with the folks who yell stuff out durring the silent pauses....
That's what happens when you do star jumps in loose pants.
😆
If you'd take time to notice it's Sugar Blue himself who encouraged the clapping. Every live musician desires intense audience enthusiasm. But there's always that one viewer who stuck around to watch by choice just to complain!
