LOVE this! I remember 1989/1990 When most models got the 'Linda Evangelista' chop for their hair! Glad others noticed that, too. Yasmin LeBon had the best smile!!!!
Funny looking back how merchandising was part of the presentation in the way models walked in groups of garments made with one fabric or pattern. Later on I believe a show was a show and if you wanted to look into further more the buyer will go to the designer's showroom. Great memories, thanks for making and sharing these videos!
Stunning collection. Even more so with all the greats: Marpessa, queen of the runway! Classic couture superstar, Gail Elliot. Very young Yasmeen, Jasmine Le Bon. Calvin’s muse…Josie, looking perfect. And of course, all the great glamazons to come. I remember this collection with 20” skirt hemline sent fashion into mass hysteria. Yet it continued right into spring following season. Europe followed suit to amazing effect.
@@AM-jb7cp Thank you but my mother did understand fashion after modeling she was a designer for Gianni Versace. The concepts of fashion changed dramatically. Calvin Klein is a brand with no quality it’s a level with no design it’s just a “simple abstract” for simple minded people. Fashion is not boring and I do agree with my mother who understands true fashion that’s Calvin Klein clothes are just boring plain and simpl, but don’t get me wrong she loved Calvin himself but just not his designs. It’s not fashion it’s a “label with no quality” that’s like shopping at primark #cheaptaste. Designers like Gianni will be remembered. It’s something different Calvin was like your next door person and always will be like that. Gianni clothes will be in fashion until this world crumbles apart - Calvin and many other designers said that themselves- powerful and sexy and glamorous but if you don’t like attention then well you wouldn’t wear Versace. Again I do love Calvin and so did my mother but just not the clothes - they are tasteless and boring. Iman (supermodel - one of my mothers besties till today) said so too. Calvin is a grey guy but just really boring and tasteless clothes.
@@suwaidpuccini6918 to compare CK with Versace is to compare minimalism with baroque...they are diametrically opposite. of course Versace is great and incomparable, but CK is just for other taste (not necessarily boring); anyway I get your point, but It is not necessary to speak bad of one or the other because they are totally different languages.
* sigh *... When Calvin Klein’s clothes were still cool and sophisticated....
True but like Fashion at is chore its constantly changing and so Brands go after the new emerging customer, c'est la vie!

Soundtrack supreme. A time when Yasmin ruled. ❤
Linda's face, just stands out.
These styles are very much on trend today! 2022!
they are so last year
I recognized a few more models: Ilonka Toppenberg, Roberta Chirko, Melanie Landestoy and Dana Patrick.
Linda Evangelista!
Stunning collection.

I always thought Nadege was the cutest model from this period. She had this adorable pixie tomboy quality but with beauty.
This is classic and timeless almost seasonless fashion could be worn any year.
Collezione molto classica, sempre portabilissima. Non passa mai di moda.
loved this time. Remember when they used to run shows on tv screens in department stores like Macys, hair salons, just for the ambiance..i loved that
I remember the 90's all too well..Christy turlington was the most chic.
🔥😁❤❤
so many with Linda cuts
linda linda make me dinna
Louise Vyent is gorgeous. So is Yasmin LeBon
Louise Vyent is not in this show. The model you're referring to is her "twin" Lana Ogilvie.
fighting tears. when I imagine being a model this is near exactly what I envision.
loved it 💘
I see me some supermodels: Elaine Irwin, Linda Evangelista, Tyra Banks, Christy Turlington.
Tyra Banks is not in this show.
Elaine ❤❤❤❤
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!
Timeless, elegant...... Women could wear that now in 2023 and still look fashionable!!!!!!!!!!!
In the days when Yasmin was gold,Gail was silver and Naomi was bronze in the UK
By 1990 Naomi was already platinum, Yasmin peaked around 1987/88.
@@fred8433 I'm a bigger fan of Yasmin than Gail or Naomi but I agree that by 1990 Naomi wascprobably at the top in the UK.
NAOMI WORK!!! @ 16:25 😍😍
I aint gonna lie I have a serious passion for fashion
where are the models of the 90s and the names of 100 of them
Make more vids!!
Do you have the spring 1990 with Christy opening it in her new haircut?
SHOULDER PADS! It looks like they forgot to take the hangers out of the clothes.
👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!
what is this song? thats a killa groove son
My mom at 9:55 - she only loved walking and designing for Gianni Versace - to her Calvin was boring and tasteless (shhhhhhh)
Shes gorgeous, but I totally disagree with her, CK is simply awesome.

total babe
Why do they look like they're in the backroom of a JCPenney.
they had no clue that that trainwreck walk would give way to the queen of the cat walk, the best runway walker of all tine: Yasmeen Ghauri.
Tahsin a @byron klein
love all my puppils there
