I loved the methodical geographic approach the last guy took, working around the coastlines. That's the way I do it, and I have trained myself up to list all UN recognized countries. I usually miss only one or two.

Most portuguese in Lisbon are actually not from Lisbon, funny enough :) I only realized that after school (I am from Lisbon), until then I had the notion than most people there were Lisboners, until I started to work, and then I realized that actually the majority of people came from all over the country (if not the world), and we locals were an endangered species :)))

Well in the tourist attractions there will be more tourists than Portuguese. You would definitely find portuguese in residential areas, although they are not very interesting to tourists.... tough choice.
