@@searanch32 I wonder if it was a mental block she had where she would just release too early to make sure she did not hit her feet on the bar (remember in the early 90’s her full-in was ALWAYS SCARILY CLOSE TO THE BAR, to the point that she did hit the bar in 92 and fell & dislocated her elbow)
best video i've ever seen of this routine, thank you! and best slow-mo of that dismount. I noticed bent knees on the double layout this time. The amplitude was what i always thought was the deduction, but the amplitude didn't look as low from the side as I expected. Maybe the knees was the deduction. She couldn't really get that skill fully around without a bit of a struggle. I read recently she loved the full in tuck dismount, I think that one suited her better. Still a good routine overall though not as exciting or dynamic as Moceanu or Chow before her, so the slightly lower score seems ok. Love her form on that gienger, legs glued together.
NBC thought this routine was underscored but all her skills to me feel dumpy. Probably because her wrist injury and the lack of practice she has on UB because of that injury.
I think she probably received a deduction for lack of amplitude on the tkatchev and the dismount. Those deductions are what prevented her from being in the 9.8 range.
Perfect form throughout. A low Tkachev could only have cost 0.5, and about the same for the very slight leg bend on the dismount. A 9.9 would have been entirely justified.
@@Vermontist1 The Ukrainians, French, Belarussians and Chinese were hammered on UB for peckish things, and here you are saying you think this deserves a 9.9 🤣 Absolutely not. If anything Miller got a GIFT.
Shannon never could get a big, floaty double layout, but she always knew how to come up with a great landing on it.

She was short on a handstand as well
Слабенька програма. Ткачов був занадто низько. Усе виглядало дуже напружено.
Домовились. Оцінка за цю програму була занадто високою. Хіба ти не думаєш так?

@@Vermontist1 Are you serious? That double layout was low, and that tkatchev got barely any height and was at least 0.10 deduction.
@@211jump Так, думаю, оцінка була завелика. Я би дала 9.650.
score is correct, her sloppy double layout costed her probably bars final
Should have been lower
@@suzanne2663 do you gave her 9.70=?
@@Marketoromagnolo Yes. 9.70.
