    I meant to say too, it weighs just 630 grams! Will you be buying the new Nikon Zf? Let me know in the comments below 👇 📸

    Adrian, I am definitely buying one. I love the concept and the features. To me this is intended to slow you down, enjoy shooting experience and connect yourself with the pleasure of taking pictures. I don't see myself carrying my Z9 and Z8 anywhere as I see Zf being a get and go to anywhere camera. Nice job, Nikon!

    I am getting one. I was a long time user of a FM2. Loved it and looking forward to loving the ZF.

    Very tempting indeed! 24MP is plenty for this kind of camera. Too many MPs will render old lenses practically useless and that's exactly what the Zf is for. You're right in saying it's the sweet spot. I want it, but i'm not sure which colour to go for.

    That is a great review, Adrian, and now I have just put my order into Nikon Australia. This is the camera I have been waiting for, fast CPU, Z8 AF, and a monochrome switch. I'm happy with the 24.5Mp sensor, as I have always been impressed with my Z6ii. I enjoy your reviews and your photography.

      Thanks for watching and commenting John. I think you’ll love this camera (along with a lot of others). Price is great for what you get. Enjoy your new Zf when it arrives. What colour you going for?

    Cool run down. It sounds mighty impressive for the price. Bird AF too - magic. Certainly worth a look.

      @adrianalfordphotography  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah all those subject detection AF's! I think a lot of people will be surprised by this camera. I was expecting a lot less.

    A great review, Adrian! Those specs sound indeed really well. 24MP is definitely enough. 8stops ibis is crazy 🙂
    Thank you for the video, buddy!
    Nice greetings,
    Christian

    WOW...looks a lot like my Nikkormat FTN minus the door in the rear to install film and chrome top. I was looking at the Fuji 100V as a street camera but for the same price this fits perfectly. Thanks

    Impressive specs from a lower tier Nikon camera, it is tempting for sure. Color options make it even more attractive to pickup. IBIS, low light sensor performance makes this a great street shooter for natural light use.

    As you know Adrian I switched to Fujifilm a few years back after a lifetime of shooting Nikon, this could very well tempt me back. Thanks for sharing.

    Great points, all. Mine just arrived and it is amazing. Nikon is getting their mojo back perhaps?

    Adrian, This maybe the camera that pushes me to mirrorless. It’s 24 mp but for landscapes píxel-shift takes care of the resolution. So many things that look like have been done right on it. Very exciting.
    I have actually rented a Z6ii with its 24-70 f4 and an FTZ adapter that arrive tomorrow to try it out this coming week. I will let you know my thoughts on it.

    I was hoping it would be a great travel camera and it will be. That low light performance and 8 stops of IBIS is just the thing for church interiors where you couldn't use a tripod if you wanted to.

    The specs look good, especially the subject detection autofocus but to use for bird photography is it practical and what lens would you need.

    Thanks for the video. After a few months of contemplating the Z8, I've decided to go with the Zf plus a good lens instead. I realised I'm not even going to use the Z8 for the majority of its advanced features.

    Thank you for this review. Matched to the new Nikon 180-600 lens, how well do you think the ZF would perform for wildlife photography, especially birds in flight?

    • @adrianalfordphotography
      @adrianalfordphotography  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching. Going to do my best to get Zf for testing on my channel with that exact thing in mind 🙏

    Quite tempting indeed. It goes beyond a pure restyling thing. The specs are awesome including video which go further than the z6ii.
    Interesting choice indeed. We keep breaking bank accounts.

    It looks really cool and I'm glad they gave it so many features. I'm pretty sure my friend David Saylors will get one. I'm still waiting for those feature to arrive in an APSC camera. Maybe next year. Nice video, Adrian!

    • @adrianalfordphotography
      @adrianalfordphotography  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree Phil. I love the style of this camera and it’s pretty good value for money considering the specs. Half the price of the Z8 here in Oz. Yeah bring on that APSC. Thanks for watching 🙏📸

    Woke up bright and early on the east coast to preorder. The "new" features seem like Nikon is getting close to competing on the lower end and glad to see it. Build quality from what I've seen thus far makes the Zfc look bad.

    As a owner of the Z50 (and hobbyist photographer) and critic of Nikon for not having affordable mid-range and APSC cameras with similar AF to the Z8/Z9. The new ZF is great new affordable FF camera. Unfortunately for me Nikon still hasn't introduce an APSC camera with great AF (D500 replacement). Also the new ZF is a RETRO camera which I simply hate (I may be in the minority), but if Nikon would have introduce this camera in the Z6II body, I may have switch a FF camera. I think the new ZF features (except for the 24.5 megapixel; prefer maybe 33 megapixel) and specification are awesome, again the Retro body is just not for me.

    Looks like a fantastic Camera.
    24mp is enough for me if I get great low light performance.
    I was hoping to be rid of SD cards by now.
    2 USB ports like the Z8 would have sold it to me .. 🦘
