The promenade deck loops around the entire ship (with some stairs). It makes a nice walk and longer than the jogging track.

Thank you very much for your informative video. We will be crusing 15-days Panama Canal by Emerald in Jan 2023. We will take your 13 Tips along. Which floor and cabin is good for Panama cruise? Btw, any advice of procotcol during the pandemic sailing.
For us, floor and cabin didn't matter because we spent all of our time in public areas while we were in the Panama Canal. That gave us the best view of everything. For protocols, they're changing often, so make sure you regularly check the cruise line's website for the most up-to-date protocols. We've had cruises where the protocols changed within a week or two of sailing.

I know you said it was closed but Steamers Seafood? Was that a specialty dining option?
According to the Princess website, Steamers Seafood is a specialty restaurant (additional charge) when it's open/available.
Taking the Emerald for ten nights late September. Embarkation doesn't start till 12:30, why does the MDR open at 12?
The lunch times for the Main Dining Room on Embarkation Day will likely be different for your cruise given the start time. Embarkation for our cruise started earlier.

Isn't the Salty Dog an upcharge?
Salty Dog GASTRO PUB is an additional charge, but Salty Dog GRILL is complimentary. It would certainly be easier if Princess used a different name for the two venues considering one is complimentary and the other is not.😊
The food was horrible and the ship needs a major renovation.
