Got the silver burst from peach about a month ago. The service on the day was absolutely brilliant. They set it up on 10s for me on the day and it's even better. Great guitar haven't really picked up another guitar since I got this. The fire ball pick ups sound amazing and the neck plays superbly
I got one last week and I can see me playing this for as long as I have time on this earth. I got the Belair Blue and it is a STRONG guitar. Sure I’m in a romantic stage now but I know for a fact it will be always respected in my eyes it is awesome. The overall tone option is enough but what got me was the arm rest. It gets sweaty but your forearm glides over it so beautifully…..it’s almost supernatural. It’s Fenders 2022s punching bag I’m not kidding. It’s here to stay 🥩
I dug it from first glance. It's like a sleeker Jazzmaster. Wicked cool. I might just have to pick one up. The split-coil option is just great. I feel like every humbucking guitar ought to have that these days. Nearly every humbucking pickup can be split (I THINK), so why not wire it for that? It makes a guitar so much more versatile. Anyway love these! So cool!
When they first appeared I loved the look. Still do. I preferred the hardtail look, but only a little. Would love to try one. I want something with humbuckers that isn't a Gibson and somewhat unique yet familiar and as a strat guy this fits that bill. This and RJ Ronquillo's video are the best demos.
Hi Lewis. I feel the same about buying a Gibson. I own a US Strat and a 2017 Telecaster Malaysian Blackwood with P90's. So I don't have any humbuckers. I'm interested in the Meteora but I'm afraid that it will sound just like my Strat and my Tele. I even ask myself if a Fender with humbuckers can have less hum with distortion. What are your thoughts about it ?
@@ElvisPriceless it will sound different and it won't hum. The guitar is different in person than I expected. It's smaller. I don't think it will sound just like a Gibson, but it won't just sound like a strat or tele. Whether you like it or not is up to you. I don't think I would ever have one as a main guitar or as one I play a lot. Especially after seeing it in person.
@@GraniteSoundtrack I think I'd probably like it. But I think I will maybe go with a Revstar model to have something different than just "another Fender"
@@GraniteSoundtrack Haha nice. I'm afraid because we can see those guitars everywhere on the internet and there's some chance that we can see them on a lot of stages in a few month too. I also like a few Godin guitars like the Radiator and the Summit. Maybe not the sexiest ones, but good value for the money and the esthetic will probably fit with my age 😂 (40)
Loving this guitar, everything looks great...except the heel block. the square is so outdated and easy to spec to a more sculpted design (like a Pro.II or Ultra) and they decided to not do it. And don't tell me those are premium features, Jackson and Ibanez do them pretty easily, it's just "take away basic features" for the sake of saving them for more expensive guitar lines.
Agreed. I can live with it but at this point using one of the modern versions is just a no brainer. The only advantage otherwise is so many Fender necks were standardised and meant you could swap necks easily. But let's face it, how many guitars on earth ever have their neck changed. 100% they should standardise the modern, ergonomic bolt on design in their guitars.
I played one a week ago. He has a thinny tone in the video .its actually very thick sounding in real. Ive played many guitars . I was blown away. The tones are amazing i shit you not.
I played the exact same guitar last week. Sounds great & plays wonderfully for a Fender w/o a setup. I don't know why they don't sculp the joint though. I mean... I'll still probably pick one up.
I have wanted a Meteora since the first one released with the Tele pick-ups. That was a bit too expensive, so I was delighted when the Parallel Universe came out a few years ago. I still have not broken down and bought one yet. I am liking the range of options that are now available. I may just have to do it finally. Love your videos. Always enjoy Jack's playing and walking through the options.
Ooooo, I've been wanting a HH Fender for ages now. The sunburst finish + maple fretboard one has pushed me over the edge. Now where's that kidney I didn't need...
This seems a much smaller guitar than a jazzmaster. I honestly feel like this is a great 3rd "must have" to the Strat and Tele. The JM is just too big of a guitar for me.
I was lnitially turned off by the horrible tone in the intro, but there are features that i like. Can’t tell from this demo what the guitar really sounds like.
It has a wide range , you can make it sound heavy metal, old school in the middle edgy or smooth like a tele, very versatile, try to get your hands on one in a guitar shop and play it
@@hart2678 I literally cannot find a single demo where anyone really rocks out with this guitar. The "voice" of this guitar seems to be more for the clean jazzy tone to light rock, which is disappointing considering that it looks badass. But that tone honestly kind of sounds neutered. It looks like tarzan but sounds like jane.
The Pao Ferro board on here doesn't look too bad, the one they did on Andertons looked awful. I really don't get the Pao Ferro thing on fretboards, aside some exceptions here and there they just look bad, Indian laurel looks way better why they don't stick with that? There's gotta be some other dark cheap options to rosewood...
What I like best about them is, they don’t sound like any guitar. I’ll leave it to you whether that’s a good thing or not. For me, they have a PRS kind of vibe. NOT saying they sound they sound like AT ALL!!! Just saying they’re each each unique.
Good demo but I hate those alternate camera angles. A single straight on angle works so much better. The different cameras aren’t colour matched either,
Hey Matt, thanks for your feedback, we'll definitely take on board what you've said about the colour matching, but I'm afraid we'll have to disagree on the angles, having published hundreds of videos that rely primarily on a single angle, these new videos in the new studio are definitely a cut above!
If I were to offer a suggestion I'd say there too much talking, not enough playing. And it's cutting back from the sound samples back to talking way too quickly. Less than 30 seconds? Not enough for your ears to really lock into the tones of the instrument.
The body shape is interesting. Sonically I wasn’t impressed. And definitely not a fan of the pick guards. If anything, considering the radical change in body design, they could have also dropped these ugly things 😁
Terrible color choices and they are badly done at that. The classic Explorer look would have been cool on these. Other than that, it's a great body shape and sound.
Jack i think you could get a tone out of a broom with a piece of wire on it. You are a gifted guitar player. If only i could play a little bit as gooď as you!!

This is the most comfortable Fender guitar to play sitting down I've ever had. Fight me.

I agree. However, fender purists jump up and down every time the square block is minimally tweaked.

Bravo Fender, bravo!
The meteora may be my forever guitar.
Would love to have one
I’m not real big on most of the colours, and a solid appeals to my eye. The Bass is what interests me. Thanks for the cool demo.
Love it!
Wish the blue had a maple fretboard then it’d be perfect

I like the blue fade, but would prefer to have a maple neck.
Admittedly, it has grown on me too, but I'd definitely change the headstock design to something unique and weird

Tele version was Parallel Universe. HH was Alternate Reality.
It looks pretty Indie to me.
Looks like Corgans signature reverend
Got 1.. this baby just kicks n sings.. kick ass guitar
Did I hear that wel? Is it a short scale?😮
Wicked tones!!!
Great Sound thx,
now i know i'm going to buy this guitar.
love at first sight.
It almost has a reverse explorer vibe going on, but I love it.
i love a blue guitar

Bring back the Powercaster!
Were you playing through the Deluxe reverb tone master?
Great playing sounds awesome.
No lefties though - cheers Fender.
Looks a lot like a Suhr JM with the two point trem.
So many kool guitars, and no love for us lefties?! It's a travesty I tell ya🤨

they are probably dry and could use some lemon oil. that will really make the grain and look of the fretboard better.
It looks like the headstock of the player meteora is bigger than the first american Meteora’s.

nice review of you talking
Damn that's cool!
Shaped like guitar ( I don't know name ) curt Kobain played
Kurt usually played Jaguars or Mustangs. He briefly had his own signature the JagStang.
Reminds me of a gretsch billy bo

The hard tail mim was cheaper than the player plus model
I think Fender missed an opportunity to rework the headstock to match the futuristic style of the body
That's their identity though.
Agree.
25.5 scale?
Yes
No trem for me tho
Sorry everyone, but to me it looks like the entire jazzmaster production team showed up to work pissed one day. 😂.
...more fatness? M...F...Ds.......and G&L got it right. Regardless...something about Jack's playing...its so musical...always musical.
First yup I want
This blue fade in combination with Pau Ferro is so wrong… i can’t believe how ugly this is. The black silver one looks nice though.
Turn off all the effects dude wtf . Let's hear the guitar for what it is..... brutal
I'm fucking bored with Fender putting a maple fret board on every damn guitar!!
Ummm... only 2 out of the 4 colours have maple fret boards??
Copy of a Suhr JM ! No where near quality, but nice Fender is finally doing something different

9 minutes of talking 1 minute of playing.....
Bored of strat and tele
I’m just not lovin this guitar.
I wonder if anyone compared the original Meteora to/with this new line.
