I’ve gotten to the point where some foods that are spicy for most are mild if not spicy at all to me. I don’t feel anything, and I find it really really delicious. I think I pretty much burned (with spice) the receptors on my tongue but it does burn my lips and my throat if it’s super duper spicy. (grew up in an African household where people don’t use chili to cook, went on some trips in South East Asia, and that’s where I built my spice tolerance.)
