George Bizet’s aria JE CROIS ENTENDRE ENCORE from The Pearl Fishers arranged for classical guitar

This is Georges Bizet's beautiful aria ’Je crois Entendre encore’ (Romance de Nadir) from his opera Les pêcheurs de perles (The Pearl Fishers), my own tremolo arrangement for classical guitar. This aria has been made famous by such singers as Luciano Pavarotti and Beniamino Gigli, but I’m a guitarist and I wanted to see id this music could be made to work on the classical guitar. This video has been shot in the beautiful small hill town Bettona in the Umbria region of Italy.

A brilliant interpretation.
Tuneful solos for tremolo guitar do not come along every day. In fact, let's be honest. There really is only one. So this is a wonderful addition to the repertoire. And the harmonics are an entertaining bonus.

I heard my wife play this on the Harp a few days ago....and I found it indescribably beautiful. I would love to combine this arrangement With an Echo from the Harp and an intermittent deep soft Bass in the air to ground the range of harmony this operatic piece stirs in my soul.
