Huey Lewis and the News were very popular back mainly in the 80s. They have an awesome category of songs and a lot of them were number one hits. My wife and I took my special needs sister to a Huey Lewis concert, along with my mother around 30 years ago. lol
there have been quite a few unforgettable voices in rock thru the years. huey has one of those - instantly recognizable - he will never be mistaken for anyone else. perfection does exist.
One of the biggest songs of the 80's for obvious reasons! But they have several other hits from that time. Many more to check out. Lead guitar, Chris Hayes, can really be heard how great his talent is in "I Want a New Drug". : )
I remember this so well and so great. Huey and The News were fresh and exciting. You can feel the energy and heart going into every song they have done!
Huey Lewis & The News always had old-school excellent musicianship, surprisingly deep/fun lyrics for upbeat songs, and all-star classic vocal delivery from Huey Lewis & The News Band. The haters sometime say "They were just a good bar band that made it" - so what, I love their energy and positive attitude. If the music makes you happy and you're having a good time, that's all that matters. Huey was a Dad, married with two kids, when he wrote this song. It's awesome. Thanks, Shawn; another great tune and spot-on reaction commentary.
To me the power of love is all about Marty making his parents fall in love. His mom was attracted to him when he went into the past and he had to make his real mom and dad fall in love. So hence, that's the power of love since his dad stood up for his mom against Biff.
I didn’t think I was particularly nostalgic but wow! This put me right back to the 1980’s. What a great time long before the world went insane! Gosh I miss those days and such great music. Huey had such a great voice.
One my favorite and most successful groups of the 80s. (when I was in high school) BAD IS BAD, I WANNA NEW DRUG, HIP TO BE SQUARE, STUCK WITH YOU, HUEY HARMONICA IMPROV.
Yeah, Huey played a really square looking judge who just not having any of that loud stuff that might inadvertently cause your hips to swivel. Great video! Never saw this clip before. Thanks y'all!
Growing up in the SF Bay Area, I had the opportunity to see him and his band a few times. He opened for a lot of concerts and baseball games - they were so fun!
Great song, and a lot more coming if you’re getting into Huey Lewis and The News. This is a soundtrack I had to make copies of because I would play it until the tape broke. Besides this song, and their ending theme _Back In Time,_ you’ve got the Alan Silvestri score, some wonderful oldies, a song by Lindsey Buckingham, and a song by Eric Clapton.
Must hear Leslie West' previous band Vagrants song Oh Those Eyes! I heard it from a cd that came with a Mojo magazine. It was the influences of Ramones I think, along with the Trashmen, Shangri-Las, Etc
The mandalorian went back to the past in the 50s. You should react to the movie Back To The Future. React to their songs Do You Believe In Love, I Need A New Drug, Heart And Soul, if This Is It?, Stuck With You and Hip To Be Square please.
I know exactly what you mean about your ADHD. If I don't get into a longer movie I might as well not watch it at all. Nobody mentioned that he played a teacher in the movie? Odd.

"Heart and Soul" Huey Lewis.

During the MtV era all the bands went crazy making videos to play on tv. Too bad it didn’t last 💜👵🏼✌🏼🌻
Hip to be Square, is another great song by him.

Also, Jennifer being a big reason that Marty states for needing to get back to 1985.
"Back In Time", By Huey Lewis, is another song from the movie.

"Huey Lewis and the News, the kind of band your dad would like." :)
Seeing as how the song is 40 years old.........yeah, you bet. Maybe even your Grandpa.
Great band. Thx bro really diggin' your reactions. I ALWAYS have Back To The Future flashbacks when I hear this fantastic tune.
So glad you did this one...loved this reaction! "Do You Believe in Love" is another great song by them.
Huey is great exercise music, a real driving beat. "Bad is Bad" is a fun song of his.

He was behind a magaphone saying you're just too loud, to Marty's band in the movie.
I was just going to mention this as well. But had to come in and see if others mentioned it as well. Great song!!
One of the best bands ever! I saw them play back in 1991. Best two hours of my entire life so far! No joke!

So these guys at Pine Knob up in Detroit and they’re really put on a good show live
Good thing nobody went to the past and accidentally ran over the pine, or it would just be called Knob. 😄
I like this song and also the movie Back to the Future.
😍😍🎶🎶👍
Huey 😮😢🎉😂😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
great song
Diggin this!❤

Cant beat the 80s and they were a good group just like Hall And Oates
Back to the Future!!!!
Still not inducted into the Rock Hall despite 19 top ten singles. Far worse bands have been inducted. It's a shame.
Heart of Rock and Roll, just sayin...
❤❤❤
Doze were da dayzzz ❤
"Live" is meant to be seen in person.
👍👍💯🔥
