Last yr I did an experiment. I planted peppers in various sized pots.
The bigger the pot the bigger and more prolific the plants.
That's good to know. I may run a little experiment myself this year.
I love your channel! I just found it yesterday. I’ve got 11 towers and thought I was crazy! Glad to know there is someone more addicted than I am! 😂 All of mine are terra cotta which is no longer available. So maybe I have enough! Your videos are fun and informative! Great demonstration Kim! I've learned a lot from watching your garden videos. Like you, I thought that it was a good idea to use the Greenstalk covers in order to prevent getting debris in the water reservoir. However, watch out for 2 things. I had one cover blow off in a strong wind, and then I found it in the yard next door. Now I keep a brick on top so that I don't lose a cover. Also, I had some birds find the little opening in the cover, and they built a nest in the nice little empty condo they'd found. Cute, but my overwintered strawberry tower suffered as I stayed away so as not to disturb the birds. I am looking forward to seeing what I can grow this year. Thanks for the inspiration!

Will you order the pink? I've got three so far.
I will not be ordering the pink because it doesn't match my color scheme. Although I find them very beautiful, especially with flowers.
@@HangingwithKim Same here. I have a black, Evergreen and a small red for my strawberries. I love the pink, but I'll repeat one of the colors I already have.
I need to just order spinners to go under 5 more of mine! LOL! I have 14 Greenstalk Towers. (I think I just might have an addiction here...LOL!) But one great garden! PTL!
You always make me giggle Kim! I need to get my dirt in my Greenstalks and get them planted soon! I’m very excited! I had a massive problem with fungus gnats….used the sticky traps and that helped but it still messed up my plants I started somewhat. I bought 2 chocolate mint plants at a big box store and that’s where the gnats came from. I won’t be doing that ever again! So, my peppers and tomatoes aren’t doing as well but my okra, basils (many kinds) and other herbs are doing well now. They’re outside enjoying my front porch and gaining strength! my cilantro is thriving as is my borage and other herbs. I may be doomed to only grow herbs but that’s ok too! Not giving up! ❤❤❤
2 tips: let the soil dry at least 1in deep, water with mosquito bits tea which is soaking mosquito bits in water then water your Greenstalks with that.
That coleus in your green stalk you can propagate them really easy as well

Hi Kim! Glad to have found your channel. I'm enjoying your content. This is my first year gardening. I have 20 strawberry starts in 1 greenstalk with some allysum and a few beets. I have 5 large Vego Garden Beds that just got filled up and looking towards a good first gardening season! My Question to you - Have you ever grown from seeds in green stalks? I have another one and I was going to start some more beets and carrots from seed in my second greenstalk. Hoping it works.

What is the sitting with wheels that you’re sitting on? Is it a kneeler for gardening?
It's a toddler's toy that's more than 20 years old. I did have one viewer say that it looks like a step to company product. But it's probably first generation. I have no idea how to find one of those. I do have a garden stool with a kneeler that I use at times as well.
I have a question about the plant support. I have several do I put them in the tier the peppers are in or do I put them in the tier above and train the plants up on the support. Thank you I learn so much from your channel
Both! It depends on your plants. Pepper plants typically, you train up to the tier above for Green Beans, I like to put them below as well as above, just to give them more protection from bending over and breaking their stems on the side of the pocket.

Iv tried those things they are not a good fit simply because the plants are too big for that space also I only use compost no fertilizer so my plants get much better food with in ground compost and grow
Do you plant spicy peppers like Anaheim or poblano or jalapenos in your greenstalks? I'm loving your videos Kim! Keep making content.... I'll keep watching it!
I put most of my hot or spicy peppers in my raised bed just so that I don't get any cross-pollination and my sweet peppers accidentally end up hot. My family would put me out.😁

So FoxFarm brand works well with the Greenstalks? We filled ours last year with ProMix, but it's now easier for me to find the FoxFarm brand. Good to know there's a good alternative!
ProMix was my go-to soil mix for years, but now I can’t find it locally anymore. I too am thinking of using FoxFarm in a couple of Greenstalks I purchased this year. My first Greenstalks. 😊
I've used miracle grow and promix, and now I've moved over to Fox Farm, and I'm really liking the Fox Farm best.
Where did you initially get the Thunderbolt pepper seeds?
The Thunderbolt seeds came from burpees.

It all depends on where you'll be putting the Greenstalk and whether or not you add spinners and wheels so that you can give it a slight turn every few days.Full sun is anywhere from 6 to 12 hours.So depending on location you may not need to turn it at all. I hope this helps. Tfw.
As well as the spinners being helpful... having the GST's by a light colored or white wall reflects quite a bit of light. Just perfect for summer lettuce and greens.
