Eargasm indeed. I will play to this all day long. Thanks for showing us how to play this. Have you tried playing Wait a Minute? Very cool guitar and sound effect you have. Greetings from Chile!
I can tell you what Greg used: SG w/ P90s and a bigsby. Left handed (I'm pretty sure it was made that way not converted). Vintage Ampeg twin fliptop, MXR distortion plus. He tweaked everything to get his tone (well, TONES plural). Listen to their first and 2nd singles as well. Also Born With a Curse (unreleased but on the box set), probably one of their best songs ever.
@@silasmarner7586 yeah, greg's sg was (is?) weird. not just because of the bigsby trem; the control knobs were in the left-handed position, but the pickguard was in the right-handed position.
@@silasmarner7586 he had two sgs. One was a factore left handed one and the other one was a right handed one with the electronics put on the other side.
Plus Greg modified all of his own amps & recording equipment. Rebuilding circuit boards & tube amps in an era when everyone thought solid state was the future. He trusted his ear. Greg was Way, way ahead of his time.
if you're looking to get that tone and can't find a vt 22 or vt 40 amp, get a catalinbread SFT pedal. It also can get you the Stones tone and the early QOTSA tone as well. Especially the version with the switch for stones / stoner mode.
yeah,i cant quite see what chords he's doin either:[ .wouldnt it be cool if they[the guitarists]SPELL OUT the CHORDS they use on the bottom of the screen.......
two p-90 pic-ups,maybey a bit of volume boost.but im pretty shure that greg sage has three p-90's[grind frequency ones]. Flipper rule! Vomit in my mouth!

Thanks for doing this, great work! Would you be so kind as to reveal how you created this sound (drive pedal and amp)? This tone is incredible...

Yes dude… Fucking yes!
Amazing work, what distorstion or effects do you use for the wipers ?

Francesco Lofrano Sage built a lot his amps from scratch. Very auto didactic guy. aka self taught.
Tone knob on the guitar to 0

I saw them play this with the original lineup vs. on the 2nd or whatever album. Infinitely better players.
@@silasmarner7586 interesting! if you don't mind me asking what year was that? Do you know if they often played it with the original line up?
can you do some tracks on the record psychic hearts by thurston moore?
Maybe "Queen be and her pals" or "see-trough playmate".
Hi, thanks for all your covers.
Can you try to make a cover of "Burroughs" by Chelsea Ligth Moving.

oh, and BTW, what are the chords?
yeah,i cant quite see what chords he's doin either:[ .wouldnt it be cool if they[the guitarists]SPELL OUT the CHORDS they use on the bottom of the screen.......
how do you get that distortion sound dude?
two p-90 pic-ups,maybey a bit of volume boost.but im pretty shure that greg sage has three p-90's[grind frequency ones]. Flipper rule! Vomit in my mouth!
Don't Jazzmasters use unique single coils, not P-90s? I think Sage was a big fan of the Big Muff.
he sometimes used an mxr dist + and other times just boosted ampeg gemini
i use a rat distortion and tweak it so as to sound like this tbh. You can literally find any sound you want from that pedal... i got the 85 one.
Invasion from the outside
