Really like the imagery associated with the lyrics here. There is a lot of red, fire, and continuously flipping images. These to me reflect the constant instability (movement of the images), discontinuity (consistently flipping images), and passion (anger or hurt//fire) that comes with a breakup.
My favorite part I think is at the end though with the sun setting. The music has shown down and the speaker has grown softer and as the music fades out the sun sets symbolizing an almost coming to a peace. He’s done being angry and calmed down near the end, ready to begin another part of the healing process. These are just my thoughts, but another beautiful song as always.

@@colintro85 I couldn't really tell you honestly. I understand the first one is maybe a "fake peace" sign that means war which would go with the theme, but I can't say that for sure. I tried to find some of them but couldn't find them. I grouped them with the consistently flipping images for the discontinuity. If you know what they meant, or what kind of symbols/runes/alphabet they come from, I'm sure it would help people come up with a different analysis for the video, especially if some disagree with my analysis.
@@colintro85 they look like sigils, but they aren't. We can see a lot of circles and a circunference can always tell about something that it's cyclic (Could be the thought of being always with someone o feeling that you'll always be angry or sad). There are some simbols that look like runes, this could be interpreted as how pain and emotions can be as ancient as unknown.

I used to listen to this song all the time when I was younger. Never really thought much of the lyrics. Never thought I’d relate to them. I never wanted to relate to them. But I’m happy they exist now.

For me, this song is about my two 'friends' who bullied me through the entirety of highschool. Because of them I now believe that the names they called me are who i am. My self esteem is completely destroyed and I trust no one. I have depression and anxiety. They knew that. They knew i tried to commit suicide. They used it against me.. take my place down in the dirt :)

As someone who has not had a relationship in almost 3 years, I didn't get sad or anything, actually I love listening to this beautiful song over and over! Its quality is top notch! However, I just shared it with a friend of mine that just broke up with her boyfriend last week, and she got really sad, she even broke into tears... It must be really hard to listen to this after breaking up.... 😔
