Abandoned Dartmoor : Exploring Haytor Quarry and Granite Tramway!

- Step back in time as we explore one of Dartmoor's most fascinating historical landmarks: the Haytor Granite Tramway. Built in the 1820s, this ingenious tramway was a lifeline for the granite industry, transporting high-quality stone from Haytor Quarry to the Stover Canal at Teigngrace.
Join me and my loyal companion, Red, on a walk along this historic route. We’ll uncover the stories of its construction, the remarkable engineering behind the granite tracks, and the quarry that fueled a booming industry. Along the way, we’ll connect this journey to the other end of the tramway, featured in my earlier video on the Teigngrace Canal.
From stunning Dartmoor landscapes to tales of industrial triumphs and tragedies, this is a walk through history you won’t want to miss!
