The villain Sauron has acted so marvellously in the guise of halbrand.
What's great about Halbrand/Sauron is that he really sells the idea that he's reformed and honourable. That's what Galadriel calls "a fair form". So from the beginning we see him rejecting her offer of becoming king and in her eyes it only makes him more honorable. You really buy into it, and it might even be that some part of him really wanted a fresh start, but him meeting Galadriel on that raft really sealed the deal, and he saw a new path to achieve his goal. Who knows what would have happened if Galadriel hadn't believed in Halbrand and actively pushed him towards regaining his throne.
In the final episode of season one, where Halbrand yells that "Sauron lives, because of you" at Galadriel. That it is because Galadriel basically (yet, unknowingly) did enforce his dark side to come to the fore. It was her constant goading and pushing for him to 'claim' his 'supposed' right as 'King of the Southlands' and to fight alongside her. She was hell-bent on vengeance and was using him to achieve it. Perhaps Sauron's intentions were never honourable, that he actually 'did' want to 'heal' Middle Earth? Using Galadriel to achieve it. Perhaps he honestly did long to redeem himself in Numenor, therefore finding the peace that he was longing for. Yet Galadriel's single-minded obsession with vengeance at all cost, never allowed it to become a possibility.

It was not untill he started talking to Celebrimbor about how he could bind the Mithril to other metals. Then i knew for certain Halbrand was Sauron. Only he could have that kind of knowledge. It was very well written because before the final episode i didn't saw it coming.

I was suspicious (but I wasn't sure) as he said: "What do you know about darkness?" to Galadriel. (Imagine, a human says to an Elvish commander and experienced fighter "What do you know about darkness?") and he seemed to be really sorry that his fighters had killed her brother.
I didn’t know anything about Sauron’s backstory when I saw the show the first time. So I suspected him of being on the side of the dark, but did t see Sauron coming at all. I thought he was a Southlander like the Wild Men who was just smarter than they were and could play King. I thought it was possible he’d be a Nazgûl.
Thats why he couldnt kill her in Hobbit. His spirit loves her forever
She was trained by the Maia Melian. Galadriel knew how to close her mind. He always hoped to turn her, like Morgoth kept trying to turn Melian.
