Oh my gosh, what a fantastic program. Your video came along at the right time, I have 900 Hexi's so far and I've already sewn them into the flower form, but now I need figure out how to put them together. Your suggestions of books is terrific. I subscribed and can't wait to start following your channel. Thank you so much. I'm only 76 but I am really enjoying expanding my quilting, which I've been doing since I was 7. Over these years, I have seen all the changes in quilting and tried almost all of them. I started with hand sewing and went to the treadle my grandmother had. We've come a long way. And isn't it fun?
I've always wanted to try a treadle! I'm trying to find a balance between hand and machine sewing as my hands sometimes give me trouble. Thank you for watching!
I think I said "WOW" 4 or 5 times throughout this video! Scanning, programming, numbering, sorting... wow! Beautiful work. Watched while I was sorting scraps for a hopeful mini log cabin quilt. I also have a small box of epp hexagons next to my chair. Making them with scraps but no plan. I need to work on a plan. Enjoyed your video!
@@StitchingaPath Well there's Folded paper Piecing, the original hand piecing, but the best way is find your layout first and go shopping for fabric. Have fun.
In the center of a log cabin block, ? Color to represent the hearth/heart of your home.. 1 block at a time! Style of colors...all Scrappy? Lighter on one half, darker on the other half? Layout pattern of log cabins ?.....just a few Q to A... My first quilt is a collection of lighter to darker greens and few yellows in a quarter square log cabin, king-sized ( I didn't know any better. It was our bed size) and hand tied with yarn. It blended with the greens in the Mallard duck wallpaper border, in the adjacent bathroom... 1980's.
Oh my! You have a LOT of patience, I so admire that quality. Thank you for the basting close-ups , very helpful! Your quilt is so beautiful!!! Just wow! And I agree with not cutting the edges, your quilt looks happy and complete and each one of the hexagon is treated equally ☺️. I love Sashiko. I hope one day you’ll show us some of the projects you are doing or had done. I did little Boro projects like rice bags, coasters etc. I’m a novice on all hand sewing but I love this hobby. Liked & subscribed. Thanks again!
So funny to hear I have patience! I am known around the house for my extreme impatience! More sashiko is in my future. I LOVE it!!! Thanks for your kind words and for watching and commenting!
I had hoped to make a similar project with a bunch of hexagons I've created but looking at your process, I don't think I'll be able to do it. Still, I've got all these hexagons so I'll have to figure out how to put them together somehow. 🤞May not be as beautiful as yours, but it'll be....done. ☺

What a great idea to computer scan the hexagons to determine the best design. The wall hanging was beautiful.
Thank you! 😊I'm about to embark upon a new hexagon project, but this time the hexies are bigger and fewer. No computer needed!
You are a true fabric artist! Love the way you described how you chose the colors and your patience!
Thanks so much!
WOW!!! Just WOW!!! I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this video!! So much work! This quilt is a masterpiece!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much! Welcome to my channel!
That is so beautiful. I’m glad that you documented what went into making that quilt. So much of the beauty is the planning and the work involved.
Thank you! Soon I'll have a video on how I'm actually quilting it.
Wow! My brain has exploded! Incredibly clever computer programming! Absolutely beautiful results!! I too am addicted to EPP! Thanks for sharing!😊
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! EPP is the best! I'm trying to branch out into other types of piecing but...
What a unique, beautiful project! It turned out amazing. 💜 Looking forward to your next video!!😊 Your cat is cute!
Thank you! 😊
