sometimes we the people from Africa, movies makes us believe all is super wonderful and fantastic western world
unfortunately like all people that film these interactions something smells funny, his follower count is massive. So if he receives views/donations it's clearly going to that and not the homeless. As well as the titles are photoshopped as if he changes they're life completely in a day which is probably not the case.

This is a hard one for me, because this guy is doing a good thing but for all the wrong reasons. I still say fuck this guy. Trying to get rich on other (the most vulnerable) people's backs. That makes you the scum of the earth, no matter how much money you give away.

It’s quite hard to find people like this to help in my city. Amsterdam is still pretty well run, you don’t see many beggars here, not in my neighbourhood any way.
But we have one native alcoholic who’s a little bit mentally challenged and frankly, we spoil him.
We know he has a bed for the night, but when he’s not overnighting, he’s milling tipsily about, or sitting outside the supermarket.
I have never heard him ask for anything. We all just ply him with money and when I asked if he wanted anything from the supermarket, ‘beer and sushi!’ Was requested!
But he is a love.
What we used to call ‘an innocent’.
He was proudly showing everyone a luminous rosary from Lourdes that a nun had given him last night.
I would miss him if he wasn’t around. I watched as five different people gave him a euro or so and spent time chatting to him, and I decided then that the world was not as bad as I had thought it was earlier that day.

When I traveled the country looking for work after my dad died I would just make up an address to use if I liked the new town I was in to put on job applications even if I was sleeping in the bushes. Restaurant jobs were good to get when I was down to just my lucky dollar because I could always get a free or charge a meal at work. I would save my paychecks until I had enough $ to find a room in a house or cheap old hotel. Things seem to be a lot more expensive nowadays. Hope things get easier for people soon.

The last guy looks like he would be so great with a little help. I dont think it would take much to get him up and going. Maybe get him a hotel/motel room for a week or 2. Even if you got him to his first paycheck. I am sure he would take off from there.

i feel his pain... ive been struggling to find a job ive been trying to get one since i was 13... but no one is hiring me im not sure why because i did everything right and i need one because my dad said he was going to kick me out so my plan was to buy a used car to live in but thats not very possible now like if i become homeless i wanna become homeless now while im still a child so the police could actually accept me as an orphan i wont get adopted but i would have shelter and adults will still care about me but when i hit 18 thats the breaking point and its over for me most adults arent going to feel sorry for me and try and help me because ill be an adult too... it hurts and i knew this ever since i was 10
