Hi Brian would you be willing to answer a quick two part question? Can leveraged ETFs have splits? Is there a way to check the history of stocks to see all the dates and split information? On things like Robinhood I'm afraid you see "all time highs" and think maybe it will go back BUT it isn't giving those important details to factor in. Thank you in advance from everybody this question possibly helps. *I believe YINN would make a good example, I can't make sense of the max chart.
VGT outperformed SCHD and VOO over 5 and 10 years. Despite having most of my $500k retirement in VGT, I try to beat my Roth with my taxable account but still underperform the S&P 500.
I'm taking a hybrid approach with VGT, SCHD, and VOO as my foundation over a 20-year horizon. I still enjoy life, travel, and buy what I love. It's the best combo, plus I enjoy the small victories of dividends, dividend growth, and share price appreciation.
ETFs are great, but don't rely solely on it for retirement. I retired at 62 with a $1.5M portfolio, starting with $35K, thanks to an adv1sor and dividends. Invest wisely, build your nest egg, and don't sell the chicken that lays the egg!
I'm very cautious about giving specific recommendations as everyone's situation varies. Consider independent financial advisors like "Amber Dawn Brummit" I've worked with her for 9 years and highly recommend her. Check if she meets your criteria.

It's like turning your notifications to earn more millions.
I recently read an article about a man who identified AI stocks before the AI boom, highlighting the importance of information and insight. I believe AI is poised to enter a new phase, and I aim to position my $200k portfolio to capitalize on significant gains.
Absolutely crucial in the stock market: information, insight, and predictability. As an early investor in NVDA, ANSS, and LRCX, my advisor's guidance was invaluable.
People often underestimate financial advisors' importance. Over 50 years of data reveal that those who work with advisors typically earn more than those who go it alone. I've been fortunate to work with one for 13 years, resulting in a $1 million portfolio, largely from early investments in AI and other growth stocks.
My CFA, Annette Christine Conte, is a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
I can't believe putting in 85k and then 2k a month for 12 years, (373,000 total?) Could have turned into over a 1million just investing in basic ass VOO, my god. I'm gonna be sick.
My portfolio cracked $50 million this week I always tell people it is unbelievable. Like really, I don't believe it. Compound growth is a crazy thing. It helps that 'my mix' has outperformed VOO the market by 1.57% over the decade too. 1.57% doesn't sound like a lot, but it is a difference of nearly $200,000. I have outperformed VT (Boglehead dream) by about $545,000. Little wins add up over the years.
Its worse here, our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyperinflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
The economy is splitting. There is now the economy of people that have been able to keep up with inflation and maintain their lifestyle, and there are the rest of the people who will live in tents and be forgotten, falling out of the tracked economy all together. The businesses and companies associated with the former will continue to grow, the businesses associated with the latter will suffer.
Love it! Tech stocks seems to be having another fantastic year and making profits, especially those companies with close ties to Artificial Intelligence.
I’ve always wanted to invest in semis but i am struggling with individual stocks with a lack of industry knowledge, and my portfolio is in the red already this is overwhelming
@Anxiousgas Congrats! But if you don’t mind may I ask how you approach this? What works for u? How are you able to find such great lucrative investments?
I'm an aspiring trader who would rather learn from other traders' experience than investing in the market myself, in anticipation of the next bull run. What are your thoughts on copy trading as well? Do individuals actually earn a living? Just trying to get some reassurance. I want to have a healthy portfolio worth at least $850,000. Reliable inputs please.
The strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.
....I wholeheartedly concur; I'm 60 years old, just retired, and have about $1,250,000 in non-retirement assets. Compared to the whole value of my portfolio during the last three years, I have no debt and a very little amount of money in retirement accounts. To be completely honest, the information provided by invt-advisors can only be ignored but not neglected. Simply undertake research to choose a trustworthy one.
When ‘SUNITA SUZANNE BYG’ is trading, there's no nonsense and no excuses. She wins the trade and you win. Take the loss, I promise she'll take one with you....
I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or when ever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income
Hey Brian thanks for the free content and education, it’s much appreciated. Just a couple weeks ago I got into ETF’s like SMH, IBOT, IGPT, FTEC, VGT and a few others. Looking forward to the returns they bring over time 👌🏻

Andrea L.
Hi Brian, SMH is highly dominated by NVDIA. Hence I am not sure why you picked SMH over SOXX which is well balanced with all semiconductor companies. Thoughts? And thanks for sharing wonderful videos. Very helpful.
If we play it safe, we get avg return vs. taking some risk so we can see above avg returns. Scare money doesn't make money especially now the inflation so high.
What's a market correction?? And what do you mean by dumping a fund before a market correction (just selling all the shares you got??). And how can you know when a market correction is about to happen?
Excellent video presentation, I have SMH in my portfolio, and its doing great. Nuclear options.....you couldn't be more correct. It has HUGE potential. I did a video a couple months back on precious metals like uranium. I need to package it with ai in a better way. You couldn't be more right. Thanks for the comment.
With a leveraged fund, say I buy $1000 worth and I don't add to it, can I lose more than the $1000 if the fund went to zero? I want to purchase and hold and like you said sell quickly in a downturn but am unclear as to how much I can lose?

Just learning, how do Roth s work? If I open Vanguard Roth.. is it one account & every year I add to it, or can Roths be separate each year with different ETFs. Thanks
One Roth account and add up to $6,000 (or $7,000 if over 50 years old) each year. After $ is in your account buy whatever ETFs you want (just know what stocks the ETFs are based on so you don't overlap your ETFs too much)...
Very interesting! Probably not going to use leverage, but good reminder to add smh as I rebalance! Can you do a video on SPTM? I think the s&p 1500 seems like an interesting way to get exposure in mid and small, but have profitable ones instead of the smaller ones that are kinda junky.
I’d be interested to see the performance by dividend income for all of these players vs the S&P 500. Considering the soaring inflation, how can I possibly safeguard and grow $350k cash reserve into a 7 figure ballpark for the next 2 years?
Investing is more than watching TH-cam Videos and reading quarterly reports. Learnt this from reading Peter Lynch's book. They are people who do this for a living, use them to save yourself from the hassle. That's how I make money from the market to be honest.
fyi FNGU, which ive made $$$ on, is actually a note, so they don't actually hold any equities and notes are subject to credit risk (BMO is holder), and of course, market risk, unlike an ETF, which actually holds the equities.
Thanks for the video. I'd love too see the content about what stocks and ETFs should be avoided or ditched too. Dont see many people discussing about this area.
According to its prospectus, they state it is best for short-term management. As all leveraged funds state. But as I mentioned, at the slightest wind of a downturn, I sell my leveraged fund. They are great in the good years, and horrific in the bad years.
What is the length for short term management like is 1-3 years considered a short term? I’m actually quite new to this industry (I’m 21). I’m planning to do DCA (5-10 years) for most of my portfolio and finding 1-2 good ETF or stocks for short term to speed up my growth.
As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?.....
Hi Brian, I respect your technology recommendations and your tech analysis. I like having the leveraged funds in my back pocket that you mentioned in this video. But J H Cris. Don't put people in leveraged funds at a what is likely a local maxima in the stock market. The five year prediction along with the possible returns from a leveraged fund will make some people so greedy that they'll lose half of their money. I just sold my SMH, which is likely a mistake given the long term trend. But there is no way I'd buy leverage to the upside right now. I'll definitely buy SMH if it corrects back to 230. I'll heavily overweight it if it corrects back to 190 or so ( $190 is the 200 day MA.) I'll back up the truck if it hits $135 (the 200 week MA), because I do believe in the long term trend. Being in the stock market for the long term is OK. Being leveraged in the stock market for the long term is not OK.
But it has a much lower return than SMH. Over the past three years, a $100K invested in both would result in making $26,000 LESS with SOXQ over the same 3 year period. As I always say, the expense ratio is already taken out of the total return. A person might think they are saving with a cheaper expense ratio, but the person with the better total return is the one retiring 10 years earlier.
5% annual return is easily thrown out there for illustrative purposes, but not so easy to achieve! Where do i put $500k cash reserve to keep cash safe for next 4 years? My concern is insolvency
I'm glad to have stumbled on this video as it is an eye opener and I'm curious to know best how people split their pay, how much of it goes into savings, spendings or investments, I earn around $250K per year but nothing to show for it yet.
Thks Brian.the infos you provided are hitting the target exactly.. i am yr fan more then a year.. i am hıghly suprising with yr correct estimations. i wonder if u are alone or have team to provide these fruitful informations..
Expense ratios are too much of a concern as long as the total returns (after expenses) are better than the S&P 500 index. I do agree it is harder to overcome higher expenses but looking at the leveraged funds, it does so in spades. I've had CURE for several years as my first foray into leveraged funds and am fairly happy. If I were more active by putting stop losses and buying back in, I'm sure my returns would've been better but hard to time the market; so, time in the market is proving to be pretty good.
This certainly sounds good too, but I think it's still worth considering more reliable options like copy trading platforms such as Eledator, for example.
I am a beginner and an international student. So I have a few bucks to invest every month. I have a question. Its better to invest every month in an ETF or wait for market correction and invest?
@@BusinessWithBrian only wish I could buy fractional shares of ETF. The closest one to a cheap total US Stock Market ETF is SPTM State Street composite S&P 1500 which holds about 90% of US stocks
Just an FYI - The level of growth with a $7k contribution, in the IRA contribution example…..is not tax free…it’s tax deferred. You would still need to pay ordinary income taxes…when you withdraw the $. Just sayin’
I honestly don't understand why you're discussing these dubious schemes. There are plenty of options like Eledator and similar ones that are fast and profitable.

I’d be interested to see the performance by dividend income for all of these players vs the S&P 500. Considering the soaring inflation, how can I possibly safeguard and grow $350k cash reserve into a 7 figure ballpark for the next 2 years?
the market seems to be at all time high but cant predict what next.. if i was in your shoes with 350k, I'd consider financial advisory
Investing is more than watching TH-cam Videos and reading quarterly reports. Learnt this from reading Peter Lynch's book. They are people who do this for a living, use them to save yourself from the hassle. That's how I make money from the market to be honest.
Please can you leave the info of your lnvestment advsor here? I’m in dire need for one
Yeah sure, her name is *Sharon Lynne Hart* One of the finest portfolio managers in the field. She's widely recognized; you should look her up online.
Personally, I get guidance from *Sharon Lynne Hart* and most likely, the internet should have her basic info
fyi FNGU, which ive made $$$ on, is actually a note, so they don't actually hold any equities and notes are subject to credit risk (BMO is holder), and of course, market risk, unlike an ETF, which actually holds the equities.
Thanks for the video.
I'd love too see the content about what stocks and ETFs should be avoided or ditched too.
Dont see many people discussing about this area.
Can a Canadian hold any of these in tfsa? Thanks
Yes, rrsp or tfsa
So, USD is good for short term right?
According to its prospectus, they state it is best for short-term management. As all leveraged funds state. But as I mentioned, at the slightest wind of a downturn, I sell my leveraged fund. They are great in the good years, and horrific in the bad years.
What is the length for short term management like is 1-3 years considered a short term? I’m actually quite new to this industry (I’m 21). I’m planning to do DCA (5-10 years) for most of my portfolio and finding 1-2 good ETF or stocks for short term to speed up my growth.
The spreadsheet is great thank you for sharing. Your lectures are always very informative. Thank you.
You're very welcome!
As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?.....
Great stuff! Awesome returns on the ETF’S! Do you see those continue to grow?
I agree. Leveraged is very risky.
Go with SOXQ instead as it has a lower expense ratio.
@@BusinessWithBrian Thanks for pointing that out. For some reason I thought they had very similar holdings.
SMH is the same as VVSM?
9 ... or 5
What are your thoughts on 100% Buffer ETFs?
5% annual return is easily thrown out there for illustrative purposes, but not so easy to achieve! Where do i put $500k cash reserve to keep cash safe for next 4 years? My concern is insolvency
I'm glad to have stumbled on this video as it is an eye opener and I'm curious to know best how people split their pay, how much of it goes into savings, spendings or investments, I earn around $250K per year but nothing to show for it yet.
Oxy , Visa, Oracle
Hey so if I fund my ira for the next 5yrs I will have a great return?
Nothing is guaranteed with investing. But tech stocks are set up for potentially solid growth.
Thank you for your insight, and your comment. Very helpful
i notice VRT , a top Data Center infrastructure name, is not listed in any of these AI funds
Sir proshares ultra semiconductor ETF?
This certainly sounds good too, but I think it's still worth considering more reliable options like copy trading platforms such as Eledator, for example.
Do you like QQQ?
I do like QQQ and QQQM. I made a separate video just on it.
Thanks
Oh my.....thank you so much! I greatly appreciate it
I thought USD is for short-term trading and will lose value if you hold it for a long time?
I spoke to that.
@BusinessWithBrian Sorry. My bad . Kept pressing 2x speed
good to know all this, thanks
Regarding limits express, they do charge $5000 or 10k for their service before you've even invested any money for sales, so they do get paid
Great video! Thanks
You're welcome!
Xlk better than iyw?
IRA (roth), has barely broke even for the last 3 years. I would’ve been better off with a HYSA.
VGT and QQQ cover AI decently, and if AI returns stagnate, you won’t have to reallocate, the ETF will do that tax free.
Why I can't buy etf SMH I try to buy but it's impossible trading 212
I am a beginner and an international student. So I have a few bucks to invest every month. I have a question. Its better to invest every month in an ETF or wait for market correction and invest?
Dollar cost average when the Market's high you'll buy less when the Market's low you'll buy more
I agree with dollar cost value averaging. But that's my personal opinion on how I would approach it for myself.
@@BusinessWithBrian only wish I could buy fractional shares of ETF. The closest one to a cheap total US Stock Market ETF is SPTM State Street composite S&P 1500 which holds about 90% of US stocks
@@martinguldnerAutisticSwanGuru thank you so much. Appreciate it!
@@BusinessWithBrian Thanks for your reply. I respect and value your opinion and experience. That's why I asked. Thanks😊
Isn't USD a 3x not a 2x ?
This channel is one of the better ones of this kind.👍 I'm Subscribed!
Wow, thanks!
great info
Glad it was helpful!
Just an FYI - The level of growth with a $7k contribution, in the IRA contribution example…..is not tax free…it’s tax deferred. You would still need to pay ordinary income taxes…when you withdraw the $. Just sayin’
please share all free excel thanks
Good product
Thanks
Nice! Thx!

Yep, I mentioned it at 8:39.

I honestly don't understand why you're discussing these dubious schemes. There are plenty of options like Eledator and similar ones that are fast and profitable.
I lost a braincell clicking on this video
too wordy, lost my interest
Ok
Waste of time and money, very obvious and laughable...
Please explain with facts.
@@BusinessWithBrian facts aren't even necessary if you have common sense...
@@Mile-High-Denver I'm sorry, "facts aren't necessary"? If that was how I approached my videos, then people would have every right to complain. Well as you know bigger risk, bigger results, but such impeccable high-value trades are often carried out by pros.
People dismiss the importance of advisors until they are burned by their own emotions. I remember a couple of summers ago, following my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to assist my business stay alive, so I looked for qualified consultants and came across someone with the highest qualifications. She has helped me raise my reserve from $275k to $850k, despite inflation.
