I feel like TJ was really struggling to hide his excitement about this interview. Just something different about his tone feels like he's a big fan but doing his best to remain professional on live TV.
It would be hard for me too if I was in his position

Nah the previous generations of f1 were so much more exciting. The noise for a start , legendary drivers fighting to the last lap senna/prost battles ,nigel mansell running out of fuel and trying to push his car over the finish line . Hamilton in the hybrid era has a car that has zero competition a d so much faster than every other team as I life long f1 fan it was a struggle to sit through it , max verstappen although I'm not a fan ks bringing the excitement back to the sport

I love Lewis and what he has done for F1 for me. Don't expect Lewis to win this weekend. This is not Mercedes year. Unless they come with some major car improvements they won't be able to challenge for the podium. I of course hope I am wrong but it is what it is.

I see where you are coming from but there are Asians, Italians, Mexicans, British etc. all religions, colors(hate having to even use that as a representation, we should all be colorblind!) and countries are represented. List can go on and on. I just don’t see that it’s not diverse imo. Honestly don’t think there’s even an American driver though if you really bring up diversity in that sort. Lewis Hamilton is a legend, goat and now a knight and it’s because he earned it. I just hope if it gets as diverse as the way you want to see it, that it’s because the drivers earned it. There is no sinister reason why there are very few black people in F1. F1 teams are mostly all based in Europe and in the UK then only 4% of people are black and most won't have any interest in F1. You can either select people on merit or on diversity. If you select people based on diversity then you are objectively a racist.

I like Morgan Freeman’s way of thinking about this. And I do not believe that equality of outcome is necessarily a reliable indicator of equality of opportunity. If you don’t investigate that, how can you say you are science-based?

@@temp5782 firstly,to be an f1 driver you genuinely need a large financial backing, not in all cases but the vast vast majority. Black people by pure statistics have a lower average income and make up a much lower percentage of wealthy people. To be clear I’m not saying white people haven’t worked hard to be wealthy or they are undeserving and I’m not saying black people should inherently deserve to be more wealthy I’m just quoting a fact. Secondly the idea that shouldn’t divide people into races sounds great in principle and I agree with you but in practice it’s a completely unrealistic idea since division of race exists and unfortunately will never not exist. And to you third point I can’t say for sure black people don’t get help but if you look at the amount of black drivers there have been in history it could be deemed a fair assumption, don’t get me wrong the lack of black drivers could very easily be due to things such as a lack of desire to do/ talent for motorsport but I don’t know

Not that Lewis has the best car this year - he clearly does not, but I wonder if he's still somewhat mentally despondent over the way last year ended, as he's been clearly out-driven by his teammate Geoge Russell so far this season.

He wrecked it and died because a Canadian tourist decided to do a U-turn on a blind corner. RIP Rob Dog. I miss him mass. I miss the friendship we would be having today. Such a good person and gentle spirit. Hope we see our friends again in heaven. And our dogs lol. Going to check out some of this guy's races. I can't believe I haven't heard of him.
