- Meredith and Amelia have such a complex relationship, they have both come such a long way in the last 5 seasons. I hated how Meredith treated Amelia at the start, but love how much they love each other now and are each others family.

honestly sometimes I really understood Meredith behaviour towards Amelia, did I like it? Hell no but when you know her history and watched the whole show make sense, LOVE THEM tho

Yeah, and that's what Amelia fans always say to people who've only watched Grey's. When you know Amelia's history and watched her whole trajectory you see her behaviors make sense, and she's not just annoying and whiny any more than Meredith is just rude and heartless. They're both complex character's who has been through hell, and have their reasons to act the way they do. We may not always like it, but it makes sense for them and we learn to see beyond it. So even though I get pretty annoyed at how Meredith treats Amelia sometimes, I think they're pretty similar and developed a great relationship
I'm on season 12 right now and I love Amelia and Mer so much, they are clashing a lot right now, but I hope that in the later seasons they get closer!

That season Amelia was talking about getting married to Owen and she was doing a job that once her husband used to have.
When Derek died their world fell apart, and they had a lot of pent up anger about it that they took out on each other.
So Richard asks Meredith to try to let that go... And as she moved on with her romantic relationships, tried to be happy she could see Amelia as a sister.
i forgot how amazing these two were😭 beautiful video. Love your editing. ❤️ I wish Grey's would focus more on this kind of stuff instead of the boring storylines from this season.

even though they don’t always see eye to eye on everything when they do it’s amazing and they are always there for each other no matter what and i love the friendship/sistership 🥺❤️❤️❤️

I mean I think Meredith has a lot of trust issues with people who try to be her family. She didn’t ever really have family before Derek so when it came to family she’s always been weary. It was the same with Lexi at first imo
Not because of her last name Meredith didn’t like any of her sisters when she found out that she had sisters but Amelia and Meredith whenever the best sisters because they always fight they thought about Derek they thought about many things before even after when they first came to Amelia called Meredith so many things that she shouldn’t and Meredith hated her for that even though she seems like she didn’t but she hated her for that so I don’t think it’s because of her last name it’s because of how Amelia was treating her

Ok but lets get real they only fought for like 1 season after season 12 they fully loved each other and all idk why people make it seem like they fought for ages and ifnthey had any fight aftwr that i dont remeber but am pretty sure they didnt and if they did it wasnt that big of a deal also yes ik they did started havibg some tension mid season 11 so maybe a season and a half
They fought for whole season 12 and parts of season 13...

can anyone explain why mer cannot forgive amelia in the first part of the video?
They had a really ugly fight. Then when Meredith got attacked by that patient, Amelia kept ignoring they pages because she thought Meredith needed her for help with a patient, and because they were fighting, she put it off until she couldn’t anymore. Then when she went in and saw Meredith lying on the gurney, she went and had a drink.
She was angry because she was the "false" Shepherd and misses Derek
