Some of my favorite videos are the backyard setup and the images from your perches
Thanks Randy. I really enjoy doing them and it is very handy. I do want to not repeat myself too much. I will be in there again soon because I just had a new Z8.
Hi Darrell. Some lovely photos of the Greenfinch, you don’t see as many of them now. The Sparrow feeding and the Blackbird with the berry in its beak were super shots. Yes please Darrell we would like to see the type of video you’ve done today in winter with the snow on the ground. Thanks Jon and Sandra
Many thanks. I have had lots of Greenwich in the garden this year.
Superb images and footage of your garden birds. Love the mallard family trundling across at one point! Very enjoyable video. Thanks!
Thank you. I do love sitting in the hide. More soon with my new camera.
Superior video, Darrell! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you liked it!
Great photos and a good idea for perches, especially using velcro
Thanks! Who knew velcro could be so versatile? Maybe I should start a velcro-themed channel next!
Thanks for sharing so lovely tips.
You are so welcome!
Inspirational once again. Great photos.👍👍
Glad you like them!
Lovely video Darrell, I really enjoy the bird related episodes, especially the garden ones. Probably a good time to change the perches with things being a bit quiet and ahead of winter.
Nice! It’s my first time visit to your video page. I am moving home as soon as I can sell, my intentions are very similar to yours, thank for good tip. TonyH
Thanks glad you enjoyed it. It will probably be in the hide again soon with my new Z8 camera.
Another great video Darrell, it's been a while since I have setup my hide in the yard, I need to get out there and give it a go. Greg
Cheers Greg I don’t use mine often enough.
Great video thanks.
I like your bird / wildlife videos
Thanks Mike. Plenty more plans in the pipeline.
I loved this... am also interested in getting a pop up, but do need a new zoom lens. Love how natural the setting is with the branches. Your exif data is posted as 100-400.... since you're sitting that far away, can you tell me about what length you're using? Also find how the UK birds are different than the US birds!
I tend to use the 400 end the most but can fill nearly the frame and with a full frame sensor I have no problem cropping in.
I really enjoy your videos. I don't have a yard to have a set up like that, sure wish I did. 2 questions: whose is buried in the background?? and do you get mice or other things inside the shed that go after the bird seed that is still in the bags?
The crosses are for a dog and two cats. I have had mice and rats in the shed occasionally. I try and sweep up spilled food and keep it in plastic boxes with bricks on the lid. I then patch any holes where they have failed entry.
Is it just me, or is setting up unique perches just as satisfying as photographing the birds?
Yes, I agree. It's been a while since I put up my hide and set up in my yard. Fall is a great time here, so I am anxiously waiting!
I agree. I like the photography the videoing and the editing as well. I am easily pleased.
Hi..can i ask what camera settings you use..
Which camera settings are you looking for. The photos in this video include isoo aperture and shutter speed.
How is your infinity pool been over the summer month's Darrell?
I did dry up at on point in June. Then we have had quite a lot of rain and it has kept itself topped up. I haven’t filled it at all.
