Loooove these witchy reads videos! Fun fact: I used to live in Salem, MA, and it was truly a magical place to live. If you have not been there yet, perhaps you can add it to your bucket list 🧹There are actual people who identify as witches just walking around and running shops. And of course there are the month long Halloween celebrations 🧙♀
I enjoyed the other books in the Practical Magic series much more than Practical Magic itself, especially the two books that focus on the aunts. I recommend those!
I absolutely adored Garden Spells. I feel like it's Practical Magic meets The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. And I just started Spells for Forgetting and it definitely has Practical Magic vibes! Very foggy, witchy island and atmospheric. One of the MC runs a tea shop....loving it.
You know, I picture you as the auntie who needs to give gifts to people but doesn't know why from "The Garden of Spells", although a young version, of course. I'm ready for the pumpkin season!
My recently read witchy women list: The Black Bird Oracle and of course A Discovery of Witches The Night Garden The Ruthless Lady's Guide to Wizardry Magic Lessons (this is the prequel to the Practical Magic series) The Witch's Heart
@@leoraaileen very cool! I actually went on your website hoping you sold it there. Maybe pottery/mugs is something you can add to your inventory one day.
I recommend Ink Blood Sister Scribe by Emma Torzs. Two of the three protagonists are sisters with magical abilities, one of them has been away from home for a long time so they have a strained relationship. Also, they live in a small town in Vermont and one of the sisters knows a lot about herbs. The romance was a bit lacking but I loved that it's about magical books, and the plot was a page-turner. I also love the other protagonist Nicolas even though he's not one of the witchy sisters. He's a major book nerd
Others in this family are Circe, I second the person who said the Witch's Heart - that one I could not put down! I have read both garden spells and its follow up as well as the inheritance of orquida divina so naturally I added the others to my TBR. The music, the background and the recs were amazing I am definitely in the fall time mood for some good witchy and moody books.
That's so good to hear about Witch's Heart. I have had it on my list for a bit but for some reason keep putting it off. I think I felt I built it up too much and didn't want to be disappointed.
Your video had me at Practical Magic. Never read the book but love love love the movie. I ordered it and The Spell Shop! Thanks for the recommendations!
Everything about your video is super cuteee!!! The aesthetic goes hardddd 😩🧡 I've been really in the mood for some magic, witchy vibes for fall!! Thanks for the recs ✨️
Just loved this video and all the vibes. Loved the mention that you used to live on Honey Bee Lane🐝. How charming. I have read some of the books you mentioned and found some new books to add to my TBR. Good work on putting together a large selection of books for “If you like Practical Magic, you’ll like…” 🦉🐦⬛🐈⬛🍄
Just the recommendations I needed 😍 I’ve been craving the witchy stories so much! Thank you! Also I loooved the editing bits bits with the little magical sparks 💫😍
Thank you so much for all these recommandations. I take good notes of the spell shop (not only for the amazing cover lol) and Hex appeal. I'm actually reading the very secret society of irregulars witches and I'm loving it. I also discovered it on your channel. Really nice video and as always your setup and editing skills are great ❤
I've read the whole series. As a writer let me say Alice Hoffman is such a lovely person. Having grown up and lived in the area I've connected with some fabulous writers at our conferences and member organisations. She's very personable and I'm sure would love for you to reach out to her on social media and tell her how much you appreciate her work. 🍁🥧☕🔮
I watched this a few days ago and it was so timely! All your recs sounded so good and when I was out book thrifting today I found a copy of Garden Spells, thanks for putting on my radar!
I Love this video, and I literally just placed my BOTM order for September, 2 days ago, and I ordered Practical Magic as one of my add-ons! I already have a few of these recs on my TBR, and I've added the ones I don't have yet on to it! So thank you for the great recommendations!
BOTM are so heartless for collaborating with a Dutch channel but still not offering subscriptions for Europe. 😫 Garden Spells and The Witches of New York sound intriguing. Lovely video! I am so ready for autumn.
Here's my magical spell for you. Creating, relating, doing, reviewing, as cosy and whimsy can be; your life will be full of the happiest things as you sip your green matcha tea! 🧙
I loved Garden Spells and I also read and loved the sequel First Frost. I have added all the books to my massive list of books I want to read sometime in my life. I have read the book Practical Magic, on audio, because I just couldn't get into the book itself. I much prefer the movie to the book. I actually found the book to be dark and depressing.
Practical magic the movie is one of my favorite movies of all time, while the book is one of my most HATED books of all time. It's the reason I will now dnf a book if I'm not feeling it when i would never do this. I will no longer allow myself to go through the same disappointment Practical Magic put me through 😢. However, the other books in the series are fantastic!
Was it so disappointing because you watched the movie first and you loved the movie so much or because it was her first book so the writing is terrible? I am reading the series in chronological order so I started with Magic Lessons and enjoyed it

One day, I will make it there. It's on my list of places to go!
I would love to visit one day!
"Regrettably I'm about to cause trouble" is an AMAZING title for a book!
And she causes it in different ways than she thinks.
First time spell casting, so here goes :
Joy, laughter, inspiration,
Stars in your constellation,
Bring muses to your imagination.

love it
In the Company of Witches was phenomenal!! The audiobook was so good.
I recommend reading all of Alice hoffman’s books in the series. Magic lessons is so good.
My perfect type of book to read 🥰 Garden Spells and Spellshop are two of my favourite reads of the year
Read the library of shadows by Rachel Moore!!!!! There are ghosts, a magic book, romance!!! Loved it!
I enjoyed the other books in the Practical Magic series much more than Practical Magic itself, especially the two books that focus on the aunts. I recommend those!
ooooh that's a great tip!

Garden Spells! 😍 I needed this video, though I don't need to add more to my long TBR list! Lol
I just finished witches of new York and I absolutely loved it ❤
I absolutely love your hair! :o ur slaying
The Spell Shop sounds like a great book to read. I need to grab it! Thanks for the recommendation! :D 🔮
That mug is so cute! May I ask where you got it? Thank you ❤
I made it myself! My mum is a ceramics artist so sometimes I can work in her studio for fun 💖

I’m currently reading “In The Shadow Garden” by Liz Parker. I love the magic system in it

I recommend Wise Child by Monica Furlong and Stardust by Neil Gaiman
Since when does book of the month offer shipping to Europe? I can't find anything on their website.
By chance where did you get your mug from? Also i have a quick read if you'd like to read, The Girl Who Chased The Moon by Sarah Addison Allen :)
I made it myself! thank you for watching ☕️
