Gnulli Native Title Determination

The Federal Court of Australia has formally recognised the rights of the Yinggarda, Baiyungu and Thalanyji people as the native title holders over a combined determination area of 71,354 square kilometres.
The on-Country court hearing was emotional and long awaited occasion held at Gwoonwardu Mia Gascoyne Aboriginal Heritage and Cultural Centre in Carnarvon on 17 December, 2019.
The Federal Court, representatives of the State and Federal governments, other parties and importantly, the Traditional Owners came together to witness this historic occasion.
