Now you see why Dimash earned highest marks when he received his Master's Degree in Musical Composition. He composed this piece for his millions of Spanish speaking "Dears". Dimash is a great fan of MJ's musical genre, and incorporates MJ"s style of music in most of his Pop songs. Only Dimash could do justice to bring back MJ's legacy.
Dimash shot each character against green screen, and in concert that was projected on very black background, on stage screens made of scaffolding covered in something like thick canvas. The super black background made the e characters pop and look like holograms :)) There were also 2 glass boxes on stage with actual holograms in them, but they were life-size, or 1:1 ratio. You can see those at the feet of the big screens. The song is about 3 states of the soul, dark and somber (Black), positive and hopeful (White), and Magic within (Red), and Dimash live and pop - the human integrating all, and asserting his freedom against depression and despair, making a point that we should not stifle or forget the love and humanity in our souls in hard times, and that peace can be found within ourselves. My favorite thing about Dimash is the fact that he has the entire toolbox to use the way he does, to express the messages that he does in songs :) Like in 'The Story of One Sky", being able to do the Tibetan "Om" chant and the Catholic choir (soprano range) in one song (plus the muslim prayer vocalise) to ilustrate hope for people of all religions to collaborate for peace. If he didn`t have the entire toolbox, and he had to hire others to put the pieces together to present the message, it might look too fancy, elaborate and preachy. The fact that he takes it upon himself to express all the sides, although it may seem like showboating for displaying his range, for me paradoxically it makes the message more like a humble plea, from a guy putting himself in all the shoes :) Thank you for the video :) 👍

I was at that concert and it was phenomenal!!! You must go to his nearest concert to see and feel it yourself, because it is indescribable!!! And you a wonderful reactioner who can catch all these things, we are all deeply appreciate it!!!
This is the first time he sings in Spanish. He has promised the Spanish speaking fans to give them a song in their language. They went wild and very happy. He composed this song. Also it’s his signature in combining operatic and pop. Thank you for the great reaction.
Seen in the context of the whole concert this performance makes a whole lot more sense. The three enormous screens were there for the whole concert, in fact Dimash started the concert by dropping down from the top of the centre 70ft tall screen, for this performance three holograms which can just be seen at the edges of the stage were projected onto those screens. The song couldn't have been performed in this format without prerecording this portion as obviously Dimash can't sing in four different ranges at the same time but it also gave him time to recover from performing The Story of One Sky which he premiered just before this. He wrote this song especially for the Spanish speaking Dears who had been asking him for a song in Spanish for a long time. I think they were expecting a cover but Dimash hasn't done cover versions in a very long time (in fact people are now attempting to cover his songs) and so he wrote this for them and gave us little clues along the way via his Instagram.
Hi @Debbie Morgan! When you wrote, "obviously Dimash can't sing in four ranges at the same time," I actually began to think about it! Who knows? Can we be sure? Because given it's Dimash, maybe he can! (Or he might be working on it!) Seriously, Dimash i's so talented that I don't put anything past him! 😄😄
Dimash is mesmerizing on stage. He is incredibly warm and interactive with the fans. I think some of my favorite performances are in his native Kazakh. They mean a lot to him and it shows. Samaltau, Daididau, Qaragym Ai for starters. There are no real high notes but they are incredible songs. Samaltau written from the prespective of a young Kazakh man being forced to fight by Russia in early 1900's. Leaving his homeland, his elderly parents to an unknown future etc. It is stunning. Both the performance from his home studio for the Tokyo Jazz Festival and from his 2021 digital which includes CGI. Traditional instruments that will send goose bumps all over.
My favorite is - all 4! He does them all to perfection! I do like his baritone a lot tho - I like when he goes from what I call his "muted" voice, to what I call his "mighty" voice, I mean within the baritone part alone. But then when the tenor comes in, I got a huge rise out of that too, especially when he hits that high tenor note, & then 2 times more within the tenor part, when he hits the very top of the tenor range & sings a solitary note that is not operatic at all, but rather like a clean metal or musical theater singer - but it's just 1 note, then he's immediately back into operatic tenor. The fact that he can sing 1 note with a completely different placement & quality, amidst all the other operatic notes amazes me in itself! The soprano was not featured as much; it was almost more supportive in nature, but still wonderful and added a lot to the whole thing. The pop persona kind of tied it all together - of course we're treated to his runs at that point, I really like when the "classical 3" came in & became his insane backup singers! Dimash also composed the music....pure genius!!🤯

Dimash promised his Spanish-speaking Dears a song in their language, so he composed “El Amor En Ti” and performed it for the first time at the Almaty Concert last fall. The different personas and voices imply a philosophical conversation between states of hopelessness and despair because of the darkness of life (black) vs the hopefulness and light that comes from embracing love instead (white) which in turn engage our feelings and touch the heart (red). Dimash's live performance in the last part as a contemporary man against the giant figures which represent different human states of consciousness brings this it into an experience of life lived fully in the moment with all three states present and acknowledged and wholly integrated into the here and now. Rather than creating cognitive dissonance by presenting opposing views, Dimash creates cognitive consonance, a state of harmony between competing emotions, beliefs and values by blending different voices, traditions, tonalities and styles (even expressed in his dress) into a gorgeous tapestry of sound and color that expresses the rich fullness of life. I was reminded of Walt Whitman’s line from the poem “Song of Myself: ‘I am large, I contain multitudes.’ Dimash does contain multitudes, and his art elevates the conflict from a two-dimensional dark vs light, good vs bad, true vs false question into a three-dimensional experience that frees us to live fully from the heart (hear how his high notes soar above and weave it together) without becoming overwhelmed by life's problems or denying the reality of life's darker aspects. Two dimensional conflicts often paralyze us with feelings of helplessness and despair and limit our ability to respond to life's storms appropriately, but when we get to a higher point of view, embrace a higher state of consciousness at the soul level by tapping into the love and peace within, we become the masters of our lives and not the victims of circumstance, and we can act with passion and confidence in the middle of the storms and, with open hearts, let our love within flow out into the world. Dimash's stated mission, to bring unity and peace to the world through his art, is very much evident in this piece. Like in "Story of One Sky," he is very intentional about the message that we need to accept all there is and allow all to have a voice and a presence, not to silence or disappear what we do not like or understand, in ourselves or in the outer world. The darkness is our reality as much as the light; the work of our lives is to create a harmonious whole through love that expresses our full humanity. Fantastic game with holograms!!! Dimash always brilliant!!! His show cannot be so simple if it involves presenting a new song that he had offered for his Spanish-speaking dears. Those who were witnessing this live show said that they cried with emotion when he performed this song.
The theme of the song is love and Dimash builds a narrative of accepting the various parts of this love that lives in us: melancholy, joy and passion... It’s just screen projections/holograms. And yes, Dimash CAN rap! This whole piece is a tour de force. You know, when I first discovered Dimash back in 2017, I used to wonder what kind of music was available to him to express his fabulous range and ability to sing in so many genres. I then realized that music would have to be created for him; songs and operatic style works, would have to be composed just for him to express different ranges of his voice and styles of singing, as he chose. He’s been doing fantastically well, especially when he sings and presents in languages other than English. But no matter, he really works hard to consistently bring his fans and audiences something magical, something new, something fantastic, and always, something fabulously artistic. Dimash is the consummate artist, a musical influencer, a genius. To say that he has changed the boundaries of vocal music is an understatement. He is a genre and standard unto himself. But - he really doesn’t need Michael Jackson. It was playful for a bit when he did that. He’s older now, grown to become the biggest star there ever has been, and the MJ shtick is getting old. And embarrassing. Let MJ rest in peace.

You need to watch a lot more videos. Dimash has always been a pop star, he is also able to sing classical, opera, rock, folk, rap, etc, etc. He is a very highly musically educated artist who has been a performer since he was 5 years old, and a professional artist since he was 16. He can mix all styles of music and make his own genre. Dimash has been in musical education for the past 24 years right up to his impending Ph.D which he will finish this summer. He can do anything vocally that he wants, he is also a multi instrumentalist. He has won more awards than you can imagine. He is a master of composition, this song is a good example of that talent. He is a talented sportsman and he enjoys participating in many different sports with his friends, or alone. In all Dimash is a warm, friendly, loving man with impeccable manners, quietly spoken, approachable, extremely humble, respectful and kind. A very generous philanthropist and all round nice person. No fame brain with Dimash 😊❤ This is from his huge solo concert in September last year, part of his Stranger World Tour. The holograms were the central one in Black was 11 Amercan floors high the others a bit less. His concerts are always epic. I love every song he releases in any style. Always top tier incredible ❤

It's impossible to pigeonhole Dimash. He is way to innovative to be categorized. He is experimental and uncaged. I think if a recording studio tried to capitalize on him and process him for profit he would become restless and lose interest. As I've said before Dimash is an unrestrained Renaissance Man. His mind is filled with ideas which he is playing out one at a time.
Final song (and debut of the song) in a 4 hour concert given in his home town. And had just finished an epic 10 minute debut of another song that leaves him breathless (Story of One Sky). Which is why the majority of this song was pre recorded and shown on 3 video screens at the concert. So Dimash could recover. I think he wanted to end the concert on a positive note. Not a down note, which is what the Story song ends on.
Everytime Dimash sing a new song he wants to be a unique performance that spanish song first time he sing in that concert and why he put it that way because before he sing that song he sing The Story of One Sky we all know that this song is so heavy he need to rest a little bit. Cada canción ya sea en estudio, a capella, en el género que decida hacerla, como también en el registro de voz que la misma pida, tiene el sello de Dimash y cada una de ellas es una pieza única en su estilo que en cada presentación suele hacerle algunos cambios pero siguen siendo únicas 😁. Dimash promised his Spanish-speaking Dears a song in their language, so he composed “El Amor En Ti” and performed it for the first time at the Almaty Concert last fall. The different personas and voices imply a philosophical conversation between states of hopelessness and despair because of the darkness of life (black) vs the hopefulness and light that comes from embracing love instead (white) which in turn engage our feelings and touch the heart (red). Dimash's live performance in the last part as a contemporary man against the giant figures which represent different human states of consciousness brings this it into an experience of life lived fully in the moment with all three states present and acknowledged and wholly integrated into the here and now.
Rather than creating cognitive dissonance by presenting opposing views, Dimash creates cognitive consonance, a state of harmony between competing emotions, beliefs and values by blending different voices, traditions, tonalities and styles (even expressed in his dress) into a gorgeous tapestry of sound and color that expresses the rich fullness of life. I was reminded of Walt Whitman’s line from the poem “Song of Myself: ‘I am large, I contain multitudes.’
Dimash does contain multitudes, and his art elevates the conflict from a two-dimensional dark vs light, good vs bad, true vs false question into a three-dimensional experience that frees us to live fully from the heart (hear how his high notes soar above and weave it together) without becoming overwhelmed by life's problems or denying the reality of life's darker aspects. Two dimensional conflicts often paralyze us with feelings of helplessness and despair and limit our ability to respond to life's storms appropriately, but when we get to a higher point of view, embrace a higher state of consciousness at the soul level by tapping into the love and peace within, we become the masters of our lives and not the victims of circumstance, and we can act with passion and confidence in the middle of the storms and, with open hearts, let our love within flow out into the world.
Dimash's stated mission, to bring unity and peace to the world through his art, is very much evident in this piece. Like in "Story of One Sky," he is very intentional about the message that we need to accept all there is and allow all to have a voice and a presence, not to silence or disappear what we do not like or understand, in ourselves or in the outer world. The darkness is our reality as much as the light; the work of our lives is to create a harmonious whole through love that expresses our full humanity.
A shout-out to Erlan Bekchurin who arranges most of Dimash’s songs. Close friends since their teen years, Erlan is a genius in his own right, and together they make magic.

This whole piece is a tour de force.
You know, when I first discovered Dimash back in 2017, I used to wonder what kind of music was available to him to express his fabulous range and ability to sing in so many genres. I then realized that music would have to be created for him; songs and operatic style works, would have to be composed just for him to express different ranges of his voice and styles of singing, as he chose.
He’s been doing fantastically well, especially when he sings and presents in languages other than English. But no matter, he really works hard to consistently bring his fans and audiences something magical, something new, something fantastic, and always, something fabulously artistic.
Dimash is the consummate artist, a musical influencer, a genius. To say that he has changed the boundaries of vocal music is an understatement. He is a genre and standard unto himself.
But - he really doesn’t need Michael Jackson. It was playful for a bit when he did that. He’s older now, grown to become the biggest star there ever has been, and the MJ shtick is getting old. And embarrassing. Let MJ rest in peace.

You need to watch a lot more videos. Dimash has always been a pop star, he is also able to sing classical, opera, rock, folk, rap, etc, etc. He is a very highly musically educated artist who has been a performer since he was 5 years old, and a professional artist since he was 16. He can mix all styles of music and make his own genre. Dimash has been in musical education for the past 24 years right up to his impending Ph.D which he will finish this summer. He can do anything vocally that he wants, he is also a multi instrumentalist. He has won more awards than you can imagine. He is a master of composition, this song is a good example of that talent. He is a talented sportsman and he enjoys participating in many different sports with his friends, or alone. In all Dimash is a warm, friendly, loving man with impeccable manners, quietly spoken, approachable, extremely humble, respectful and kind. A very generous philanthropist and all round nice person. No fame brain with Dimash 😊❤ This is from his huge solo concert in September last year, part of his Stranger World Tour. The holograms were the central one in Black was 11 Amercan floors high the others a bit less. His concerts are always epic. I love every song he releases in any style. Always top tier incredible ❤
This performance followed the live performance of The Story Of One Sky, so vocally it gave him a few minutes to rest his voice. Dimash composed this as well, I love his deeper baritone voice as well, so rich with color. Thank you for sharing this with us ❤.

It's impossible to pigeonhole Dimash. He is way to innovative to be categorized. He is experimental and uncaged. I think if a recording studio tried to capitalize on him and process him for profit he would become restless and lose interest. As I've said before Dimash is an unrestrained Renaissance Man. His mind is filled with ideas which he is playing out one at a time.

Final song (and debut of the song) in a 4 hour concert given in his home town. And had just finished an epic 10 minute debut of another song that leaves him breathless (Story of One Sky). Which is why the majority of this song was pre recorded and shown on 3 video screens at the concert. So Dimash could recover. I think he wanted to end the concert on a positive note. Not a down note, which is what the Story song ends on.

Everytime Dimash sing a new song he wants to be a unique performance that spanish song first time he sing in that concert and why he put it that way because before he sing that song he sing The Story of One Sky we all know that this song is so heavy he need to rest a little bit. Cada canción ya sea en estudio, a capella, en el género que decida hacerla, como también en el registro de voz que la misma pida, tiene el sello de Dimash y cada una de ellas es una pieza única en su estilo que en cada presentación suele hacerle algunos cambios pero siguen siendo únicas 😁.
