    For anybody wondering, the base he used is called a "Phenolic Flanged Adapter".

    That’s a really good ballast. Magnatek is an extremely good brand. Also the way you built that light the whole adapter should last forever.

    amazing work! i remember watching that old video you made about another one of these when i was at elementary school. i would love to make one too but for 230V applications. here 20W circular fluorescent tubes aren’t common (for T9 the standard here is 22-32-40W) but i got a nice japanese one some years ago and it would be awesome to make an adapter for it

    Looks great. However, its an ungrounded metallic housing, meaning it wouldn't pass any UL certs or NEC.

    Where did you get the starter sockets you used here?

    Hey parrot 175 I’m glad you collect lightbulbs I love it when I find anyone that does no matter who or where they’re from you have some stuff that I think is really cool but then again you have some stuff that’s modern and is not all that great but I would love to see from you is to do some more village stuff and when you get something that is really hard to find that’s when you do a video I’m rooting for you as I’m rooting for all the white wine collectors of the world so take care and have a nice day and please let me know what you think and I hope you watched my channel

    You should make a 1000w Mercury Vapor bulb video if you have the time! Just a request.

    Question could you buy a 35 wat Hps bulb and install it on a normal 60 wat stand up lamp because I might buy one and install it on my lamp

    • @Parrot175
      @Parrot175  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It will fit but won't light. I remember when I got my first 35watt HPS bulb I didn't know much at the time and put it in a regular socket, turned it on and it didn't do anything. It won't light as it doesn't have the correct starting or ballasting equipment. Therefore, the 35watt HPS bulbs use an S76 ballast to operate.

    很酷的灯具!但是,中国没有卖这种灯头的…而且中国的镇流器完全放不进去线盒…

    • @Parrot175
      @Parrot175  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      有趣的是,我不知道中国没有像这样的灯。 您的镇流器的外形必须与美国不同
      Interesting I did not know China did not have lamps like these. Your ballasts must be a different form factor than in America.

      @@Parrot175 eu tinha trocado os reatores das luminárias dos banheiros por eletrônico, porém as lâmpadas queimavam em cerca de 2 meses, minha sorte ter guardado os magnéticos, pus de volta, nunca mais queimou ... Portanto nos induzem a uma falsa economia, pois gastamos mais com lâmpadas e manutenções, além do descarte sujar o meio ambiente, uma triste realidade.. eu também priorizo a qualidade e durabilidade.. abraços
