- Alan scratch builds a hillside for the Buckland Junction model railway, made mostly from cardboard with a retaining wall with towers.
Part one of this build sees the hillside cutting made step by step using the PVA Jay-Cloth method common on this layout, now the corner hill is ready for scenery and static grass which will be in part two.

Looking good Alan I love your chalk cliffs. Regards Tom
Thanks Tom Sir :o)
You certainly are a master modeling with the cardboard
Hi Peter. This is a very light build this time, as it's far out of reach of Grandson and hands so it's as light as you can go. Regards Alan :o)
Hi Al, Very impressed with your handiwork. Certainly a transformation in that corner. Looks superb. Well done.
Thanks Colin. PT2 coming next mate. Regards Alan in the loft. :o)

Bonjour Alan,
Nice to see an update on your excellent work ! That corner is coming along now and I look forward to further progress. The bridge and valley scene intrigues me. Bon courage and success my friend. Happy model railroading and have a nice weekend. Filip
Hi Filip and Vera. Thanks, I hope all is going well for you both. Joyeuses Pâques mes ami. Yes bridge and valley next, I enjoy making landscapes. Take good care for now. Votre ami Alan :o)
Looking good

Glad you enjoyed it Captain Static. I may have more by the time you get here :o)
Hi Al. Looking great so much progress from the early days. The layout is really coming to life.
Happy easter mate.Dave from Scotland👍
Thanks as always David. Regards Alan in Dover :o)
Hi Alan mate..! I haven't been on for a while, or sent any comments, been looking in though, I've actually been waiting for you to put up some layout build videos, live stream isn't great for me on a mobile, I do love your build videos, you've made a great job of the corner, I agree with another person's comment that vegetation on top of the tunnel would actually look good, over grown area or over grown ground effect..! Glad to see that your mobile home "The Van" has passed its MOT. We might get to see you on a road trip again..! Who knows..! I do Love your road trip video's just as much as much as the layout video's. Keep up the excellent work on your excellent layout Alan, it's really coming together now.. Maurice OUT.
Hi Maurice Mate. Thanks for your nice comment. Yes I will add some over growth to the top of the tunnel mouth, good idea #2. Yes van is going on a trip in July. More to follow soon mate. Regards Alan "OUT" :o)
Happy Easter and a sneeze from me.
"AATCHOO!" I'm suffering hay fever. You're a bit like Tony North Eastern, he runs a steamy in the beginning of most of his videos. He does it to make me smile. Take a break and devour an Easter Egg. It's Good Friday.
Could you have some undergrowth to cover up the triangle? It is quite common to see isolated sections of vegetation, like with a profusion of plant life, where nature has been undisturbed, and therefore allowing protection of certain plants. Maybe a location near the sea such as Buckland Junction, could also provide quite a unique habitat for particular species?
That's a good idea Alan, I will add some foliage and lichen here and there. Thanks. Regards Alan :o)
LOL that’s my surname ha ha but my model railway channel is named after my first name small world. Keep it up
Thanks Mr Buckland. Regards Alan :o)
In the Loft
Yes I am in the loft today. Regards Alan :o)
