We must find out the length of the headband ، i mean the Metal ring inside
Then increase the figure shown 2cm ،To make the cloth not tight when we enter the rind inside
then Divide the length of the ring by 2
Ring width at the tip , you can make it 2 cm
Ring width at the center , you can make it 16 cm

Can you explain this using an example of 38 cm metal headband
I should take a 40 cm cloth and centre marking at 20 cm and middle 2 cm i should leave for wrapping knot in the centre and leave 1 cm each corner that goes behind the ear
