Barely 9 years old, and this is her arrangement as a tribute (black and white) to "Screamin" Jay's (1956) original. Plain and simply, this is a MASTERPIECE!!
Thank you for reacting to this masterpiece and amazing performance by the BAREFOOT ANGEL. Angelina has more than 140 videos on YT since she started singing at 1.5 years old till now when she turned 15 yo on Jan 10, 2021. She is a music prodigy who signed a contract with Republic Records last year at 14 yo. In this video we are watching a legend in the making.
Just in case no one tells you, this is her arrangement, and she had the musicians play it the way she envisioned it, no one arranged this song and coached her or directed her to sing it the way they wanted, this is her artistry, and for a 9 year old, that is incredible!
4 of the 5 musicians she had worked with previously at live concerts. You see how the bass player smiled at the beginning of the song. He knew what was coming. Her nickname is admiringly "the boss".
@@MattFarkas Try her America's Got Talent Bohemian Rhapsody next. That to, is her arrangement. She also has several of her own compositions on You Tube, "7th Heaven" for one. Her cover of "Billie Jean" is her most recent video. Careful this rabbit hole goes on for ever. She has 8 years of videos over 130 covers.
If you want to start at the beginning, please check out her video when she was 6 yrs. old, I who have nothing, and then Summertime, when she was on Norway's Got Talent. The 2nd video has cc in English so you can understand the judges. She might be very young here, but her voice is beautiful. Thank you.
Like your reaction...Diana ,Dimash great performers, first time it's a real surprise, but then, after a while you know what to expect, and the magic fades away...at least for me. With little Miss Jordan it's quiet different, her versatility, her creativity, is so unic that it sets her in another league all together.. Try "song for A"...totally different and still beautiful. Some call her " the Cameleon". Others "Miss 1000 voices"...all this is true...I call her simply Angelina like we say Callas!
Totally agree with your first sentence, which I only listen to them on the odd occasion. As for the rest of your comment. Angelina is the only artist I can guarantee will surprise me with every song she "lives" (not "sings") :-)
A child prodigy who started singing Whitney Houston at 1 & 1/2, Won Norways Got Talent at 8 yrs old singing Billy Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday', 'I'm a Fool to Want You', 'Bang, Bang' by Nancy Sinatra and 'Summertime' by George Gershwin! She fulfilled one of her childhood wishes when she sang for the Nobel Peace Prize Concert at 8, her second wish that you just watched was to sing for that 'Simon Show" that she expressed at 3 yrs old when she sang on America's Got Talent 'The Champions' at 13 yrs old sing the most beautiful rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody ever created! She has sung for Quincy Jones & Barak Obama among many others and raised millions for Children Charities and Climate Change! No theatrics here, simply the most soulful interpretation of a song and an ability to convey that emotion right down to your very soul! She has made many grown men cry! Buckle up, you're going to need it! She is 15 as of Jan 6th this year and has just released her second original with Republic Records after being protected to allow her to grow up and when they got a deal that gave her 100 % control over her art. The true GOAT in my opinion! She was 9 when singing a song by Screamin Jay Hawkins on the candle from 1956. th-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/w-d-xo.html She started studying all the Greats of Jazz at 3yrs old on u-tube. What little girl studies Jazz at that age? The one & only Angelina Jordan, The Velvet Voice of the Barefoot princess of Jazz! I would love to see you start with one of her most recent. Her cover of 'When You Believe' by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carie. Watch the studio version first if you haven't seen it. One of her Best! Never one to show off this simple beautiful rendition shows her mindset in approaching her music. Nothing theatrical, just soft Velvet perfection! th-cam.com/video/uAlVzI8-5hQ/w-d-xo.html. Then watch this rendition set as the soundtrack of the animated Movie 'The Prince of Egypt' using clips from the "Prince of Egypt" singing 'When You Believe' ! th-cam.com/video/RgsPM2BEsqk/w-d-xo.html Who ever put that video together did a masterful job. Absolutely Beautiful! Also if you loved Amy Winehouse, Check out one of my favorites 'Valerie' with her having fun with her sister Juliet on Venice Beach. th-cam.com/video/sqmJLkgk2Ik/w-d-xo.html Perfect again! After that I'ld use Rusty Schackelford's Chronological playlist and jump around to those you are familiar with. th-cam.com/video/RjQZKBpVaes/w-d-xo.html You can't go wrong with anyone of them. And you can see her journey knowing her age at the time she sang it and where she was at that point in her and our journey. Another must view is 'Fly My to the Moon' on 'The View' at 8 yrs old & was my favorite among her half dozen versions because of the shear cuteness and her masterful phrasing! th-cam.com/video/nBGMQ9Kx9iI/w-d-xo.html Rusty's playlist starts with her first visit to the studio at 6yrs old!
@@MattFarkas LOL yes! She is already top class, it's insane.Yes, the genre isn't rock or metal, but she just grabs your attention, and won't let you go. There is recording when she was 1,5 years old with a mike in her hand trying to sing Whitney Houston! There is a rock cover of Queen- The Show Must Go On when she was 13, really good, but that's the only one:) Anyway I hope your reaction will be picked up and get the views, so you maybe do another few reaction to her. She will be huge, I'm 100% positive on this. You found gold here. Bye!
A very recent release that you will definitely like is her original “7th Heaven”. It will give you a glimpse as to what Angelina is up to today (both literally [she’s a 6’-1” fifteen-and-a-half year old], and musically [she’s been exposed to classic jazz since she was three!]). There are two versions of “7th Heaven” (three if you count the “lyrics” version). I prefer the audio of the “Live Studio version”, but the “Music video version” is good too. 😉❤️
Any songs from her you decide to listen to will blow you away. She is a very talented, hardworker and is growing up to be a very classy young women. Look into her full story. It will really blow you away. Her accomplishments at her young age is so very impressive.
Angelina Jordan was 9 years old when this song was recorded. It was a tribute to Screamin Jay Hawkins who was quite a character. Most of the times he performed the song rising from a coffin in a voodoo style. Angelina is Norwegian, her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar. Her father is Swedish, her mother is Norwegian from a Japanese father and Iranian Mother Mery Zamani who is a poet and a painter and was a child prodigy in her own rights. She started singing at the age of one and a half when she fell in love with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. A year later she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and showed lot of interest in artists like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, and Louis Armstrong. Angelina pestered her mother to enter her in “Simons Show” as she called it from the age of 3. Her mother relented and entered her in Norway Got Talent at the age of 7 where she auditioned with Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She went ahead to win the the big prize at the finals where she received 46% of the votes while the remaining 9 finalists combined received 54%. Angelina said she likes singing because she wants to bring joy and love to the whole world. One of her dreams from a very young age was to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert. She accomplished that at the age of 8 singing Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World. After winning NGT, she was flooded with offers from major music labels as well as Disney but they were all turned down by her and her family in order for her to continue her education and to protect her artistic integrity. Her uncle/manager in an interview last year he talked about music labels top executives who would fly to Norway on private jets with huge contracts offers but would leave mad and frustrated because they never expected being turned down. Angelina is fluent in Norwegian as well as in English. She also speaks some Swedish which is very close to Norwegian and probably learned it from her father. She also speaks Farsi which she learned from her grandmother as well as some Japanese that she picked up from her grandfather as well as her mom and uncle who lived for a period of time in Japan. She actually performed a Japanese song at a concert in Japan. Most of her performances after NGT were for charitable children organizations where she helped to raise millions. At the age of 6 and while travelling in another country with her family, she came across a young orphaned shoeless girl who was weighing people on a bathroom scale for some coins in order to support herself and her siblings. After chatting with her for a while and without prompting from her family, she gave her shoes to the orphan girl. She recorded that incident in her diary and vowed to always sing barefoot when doing that in public to remember that girl and to remind herself and us about the many needy children around the world. At the age of 9 she wrote and published a book about that encounter making her Norway’s youngest published author. Proceeds from that book are donated to children charities. Angelina Jordan has about 140 songs in her repertoire. Late last year she signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. Her versatility is unmatched. She will wow and surprise you all the time. 15 years old today who is an excellent role model for today’s youth and her best is yet to come. Thank you for reading and Keep up the good work
Angelina’s manager from the beginning is her uncle Michael Astar. From article of Music Norway interview we learn that Michael was raised in Japan and music was always his passion. After his family moved to Norway, Michael became a hip-hop DJ. As a 16-year old he was a DJ at 21+ night clubs in Oslo, Norway, getting the gigs because he looked older and no one asked his age before being hired. After getting tired of being a DJ, Michael started a music management company in 2013, and 3 months later, with no clients yet, Angelina signed-up to try out for Norway’s Got Talent. Angelina’s first audition when 7-years old was a cover of Billie Holiday’s song “Gloomy Sunday” that went viral when it got uploaded to TH-cam. Then Angelina won Norway’s Got Talent, had other viral TH-cams, performed on Norway, US and other TV shows and her career started to take off. Eventually she had over 1 billion views of her performances on TH-cam and Facebook before Angelina’s appearances on the American’s Got Talent - The Champions show. Her performances there further accelerated her career. At this point, Angelina asked her uncle Michael if it was possible for her to move to the US to pursue her music dreams. Michael says this was a tough call, and he asked himself questions like; how on earth are you going to pull this off? What about a VISA? What about finances? Are you willing to sell everything you have and own, and also get a loan to risk everything? Michael related that “These were questions I had to ask myself, several times a day. Then, I remembered, what did my mom do when she went to Japan? She didn’t even talk Japanese or knew anyone. She did it because she risked everything for a better future.” So, Michael flew alone to Los Angeles, studied and learned anything he could learn from the people he got to know during his time in the Industry. After gathering a bunch of people, he came back to Norway and started the process. He indicated that “A few months later, I told her, PACK YOUR BAGS! We are going next week to pursue your dream! All in baby. Her smile made it all worth the hassle.” “We stayed patient because the way this industry works is bizarre and you have to dodge bullets right and left to get anywhere. But would I do it again? Of course! Life without challenge is boring," Michael says. For Michael, a lot of his time involves talking with industry people, to see what’s happening out there. Having recently become a father and with COVID-19, time has become even busier and more crazy than usual. “There is a lot of stuff happening with Angelina, and it requires daily briefings with a lot of people.” America’s Got Talent had always been interested in bringing Angelina to the show, but with their normal contract, artists are being locked into a label, management, and other things for many years. Michael says that it did not matter if you get exposure or not, it was out of the question to give away that many rights. This kind of patience eventually paid off. Michael said that “Some time passed and they again contacted me, asking if she wanted to sing on their show. I convinced them to give me a contract where Angelina is free from any deal if she performs, she is great for their TV show and Angelina will get the exposure she needs to breakthrough, because I knew, the talent is one of the kind like no other, I just needed her to be seen and was on a daily hunt for how to get the right spot for her in the USA.” After, Angelina’s success on America’s Got Talent, she eventually signed with Republic Records in August 2020 where Angelina was told she was Republic’s highest priority new artist. Michael says the commitment with the right interest in mind has been one of the most important things when choosing a team and partners to be part of Angelina’s team. “You also need to choose someone with the right chemistry. These are the people you have to deal with on a daily basis, you have to have a good feeling and chemistry with the team you choose.” Although no specifics yet, Michael says that the plans for Angelina include going global. Advice from Michael: “Go with your instinct, it never fails, crazy how nature does that. Always be humble, you get way further being a nice person, people tend to be nice back. Always read the contract. Find a good lawyer (It’s super hard to find the good one, but with dedication, you can). Don’t rely on people, you want something done? Do it yourself. If you are good at something, never do it for free (Quote from the Joker).”
Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤️💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song ❤️💙 A rare beauty, in every sense of the word ❤️💙 If there was ever a reason to believe in something greater than us, or in reincarnation, Angelina Jordan is it ❤️💙 Loved your reaction!!! ❤️💙 ***RIP SCREAMIN JAY HAWKINS***
GUAUUUUUU NOOOOOOO NO PUEDE SER QUE MARAVILLOSA ÚNICA ESPECIAL...VOLVEREMOS A ESCUCHARLA Y MÁS NOS EMOCIONA....FELICIDADES ANGELINA QUE CONTINÚEN TUS ÉXITOS 😇👣💯💯💥😁👍👍👍👍👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤❤❤❤❤GRACIAS A TI POR TAN IMPECABLE REACCIÓN...CHAUUUU 😁👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤
9 years old here - Fly me to the Moon is crazy good also 'A Million Years Ago', 'Stay', 'Born to Die' - or even 'Summertime' her winning song on Norway's Got Talent - 7 years old
Angelina is magical, she will surprise you with each song, I recommend feeling good at 10 years old, it is incredible, thank you and welcome to the world of "the angel of bare feet" sdos 🇦🇷 🇦🇷
9 year 2 month old Angelina Jordan seen at the start of the video writing her "wishes" for how she wants to sing the song and instructions for the hired musicians. She then takes control of the studio to deliver, IMO, the best cover of this classic song. Angelina is a true music prodigy but blessed with a set of skills unlike any before her. For me, what truly sets her apart is the emotion she conveys. Angelina is the only vocalist to make me cry in my 62 years.
Great start to understand Angelina, thanks for the balanced reaction. Keep discovering her, it's one of the most precious and eclectic musical jewels there is. 💛 💜 ❤️
Every cover Angelina does represents an homage to the original artist and to the music. She takes each song and in her special way communicates the essence of it to the listener. She has great range and flexibility in her voice but she doesn't use it just to impress, only to honor the music. She is truly a once in a lifetime artist.
You have yet to scratch the surface of this uniquely talented and supremely gifted young musical talent. Angelina has a catalogue of approximately 145 cover and original songs. She and her parents signed with Republic Records in November, 2020. She Turned fifteen years on January 10, 2021. Once you begin a journey of reacting to Angelina Jordan’s cover and original songs you will be a changed man.
Welcome to the world of Angelina Jordan! This was a nice reaction to Angelina from someone within the industry, and I'm sure you will be amazed and delighted by what this young prodigy has to offer as you begin your journey down the Angelina rabbit hole. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!
How can one call this good . For me it's one of the greatest I ever heard seen from a 9 year old who also arranged the song and music .apart from Mozart name me another child who can do what Angelina does.
You don’t have to imagine where Angelina goes from there. She’s 15 now and has well over 100 songs you can listen to and watch. I’ve followed her for about five years. I thought immediately that she was the best child singer I’d ever heard, but after a couple years of watching Angelina cover so many genres so authentically and originally, I realized she is the best singer I’ve ever heard. Not a doubt in my mind. I don’t know what you like, but Angelina will stun you with her talent, voice, and musicality. Here’s a few suggestions: Bohemian Rhapsody for an amazing bluesy/jazzy performance that’s the best music video I’ve ever seen. Billie Jean (just released) for a completely original, sultry, jazzy version of another iconic song. A Million Years Ago (covering Adele) at 11 is just beautiful and shows how Angelina interprets lyrics like no one else. Million Miles is an original- Angelina’s heartfelt tribute to her grandfather. You can’t go wrong at any age. Just start listening. (By the way, I have watched hundreds of reactions to Angelina’s I Put a Spell on You. I can’t remember anyone else describing her performance as (adorable”.)
"Adorable" was not meant as something that at all takes away from her fantastic singing ability. She can be both an adorable 9 year old girl and an incredible singer. And "imagining where she goes" was also not meant as a negative. 😛 Most artists don't (and don't want to) peak at age 15, so it should go without saying that her best work is still ahead of her! Thank you for your comment! I'm excited to further dive into the world of Angelina Jordan's music. 🙂
Angelina is the barefooted Queen of Soul with a Thousand Voices! She weaves musical tapestries in all colors of the rainbow with her beguiling voice! Her musical artistry is second to none and it not something that can be taught. Soul + Music in perfect harmony!
Thank you for your great first reaction to Angelina. Oh, my friend, you are in for the ride of your life! It won't be long before you are inundated with other comments here that will give you excellent information about Angelina, her prodigious talent and her huge humanitarian heart. We all know your main purpose is to react to the performers (and you do it very well) but, let me just say, the more reactions you do to her, the more you will see your subscriptions, likes, views and comments go through the roof! That’s what TH-cam is looking for from you. Just know that Angelina’s millions of fans around the world are very, VERY loyal and will follow you to the ends of the Earth for as long as you continue to react to her!
So, you see that at 9-years-old she is already a professional and accomplished artist. She chose this song as a tribute to the original singer, whose picture is shown in the beginning. The papers she handed to the band-leader were her last-minute changes for him. This performance is not typical of Angelina, but shows that she can perform in any genre, although she prefers jazz. She always performs barefoot and there is an interesting story behind that. She has been in the public eye since she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent in 2013, when she was 7, and won it at age 8. She is now 15 years old and signed to Republic Records as a highest priority new artist. Her recent releases of originals and covers are beyond superlative. Angie's musical abilities are beyond mere mortal understanding!
I was floored by her new song "MILLION MILES". She wrote it and OMG Send them all home no one but her needs to show up for awards She can have them all.
9.year old her..💟you have to lissen when she was in the America got talent in 2020 as a campion..song..Bohimy rapsidy and yellov brigt roard..(Elton john)
Watch some more of her. She seems to have so many different voices or styles, all showing shades of Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse, Ella Fitzgerald, Tanita Tikaram and many other soul and jazz singers. She had an amazingly deep and rich voice that is so flexible. Watch more, you will enjoy it.
Angelina is extremely serious about her music. She arranges all of her songs, and gives her notes (her wish list as she calls it) to the music director. She has been singing, since the age of 1 1/2, and practices constantly. She is 9 years old here and the man on the cup is the original singer/composer Screamin Jay Hawkins, whose black and white version from 1956 you should watch, talk about progressive and being years ahead of his time. If you like Jazz then listen to Angelinas performances on Norway’s Got Talent at the age of 7 and 8, choose the ones with English captions. Her major influences were mostly Jazz singers, like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Sinatra, Dinah Washington, Adele, Louis Armstrong, and others. She speaks 4 languages, plays 4 instruments, and is the youngest published author in Norway, when her book about why she performs barefoot was released at age 9.
I love watching reactions that are seeing and listening to Angelina Jordan for the first time, especially “I Put A Spell On You”. Seeing socks blowing across the room shortly followed by bits of brain matter and a loss of meaningful thoughts is par for the course.
She has sung so many songs it's hard to know which ones to suggest next. Fly Me To the Moon is a good choice, also Feeling Good, I'd Rather Go Blind, Stay, or go back to the beginning and dive into the Norway's Got Talent videos from when she was 7. They're all good.
Anything from Angelina Jordan is going to be good. She makes all the arrangements on her covers. That's what amazes me she's so young and she knows how to orchestrate music.
Angelina won Norway’s Got Talent at the age of 7/8 were she sang 4 Jazz songs. Went on America’s Got Talent & she is now with Republic Records. She started listening to jazz at the age of 1 1/2 with her grandmother. She has gone worldwide for charitable concerts for children. Quincy Jones flew her to London to sing for his 85th Birthday.
"Fly Me To The Moon" is perfect, if you know and love that song. There are different versions of her singing this, you could do either one of the live versions, or react to the official video, which was beautifully filmed by her grandma, who is a persian painter and poet. - Of course there are even better songs from her to be found, but it doesn't matter with which one you begin, you'll soon figure out that with Angelina, the next song is even better than the one you listened to before, regardless their order. That is one of the many mysteries about Angelina... Welcome aboard the Hotel Angelina, programmed to receive - you can check out any time you want, but you can never leave...
about the order to view her videos: there are very old videos which are not "quite as good", but what would you expect from a 1.5 year old child singing whitney houston in some home video ? :-) but if you go back only to the time when she was 6 (her first studio recording) or when she entered NGT at 7 and just had turned 8 when she won (you should watch her journey through that competition!), and for every video since that time, it is something completely different. and everything she ever did is still impressive anyway.
9 years and 2 months old at the time of this recording. She kills "Fly Me To The Moon," of which she has released several versions. For maximum effect, I would go with the one she did at age 8 on the TV show, "The View." I know of three videos of Angelina's that went viral. This one that you reacted to, here, was one of them. Her audition at age 7 on Norway's Got Talent, where she sang "Gloomy Sunday" in the style of Billie Holiday (she channels Billie), was the first to go viral. Last of the 3 videos that I know that went viral was Angelina's audition on America's Got Talent, Champions 2. The "Champions" events bring together previous winners and high performing acts from the regular shows from franchises around the world. Angelina performed her own arrangement of "Bohemian Rhapsody." (important to view the AGT live, stage version) This performance received a golden buzzer from the judges and immediately went viral, receiving 10s of millions of views. But, all that is small potatoes. What really is really is impressive is that, shortly after the show, the surviving members of the band Queen tweeted out their approval. Then, they subsequently gave Angelina copyrights to her version of Bohemian Rhapsody. You ever hear of that happening before? ... I see that you're a very reserved kind of individual and prone to understatement. Usually, people seeing Angelina's "I Put A Spell On You" for the first time are blown away and can't contain themselves. (me, for example) You held it together remarkably well. Be warned that if you continue this Angelina Jordan journey that won't last. As someone point out, this first performance that you reacted to is, indeed, a masterpiece. Angelina is undoubtedly a prodigy with a huge talent. Something you will discover for yourself. Fasten your seat belt. You're in for quite a ride. ... Enjoy.
There are some videos of rehearsals Angelina has done that will give you a sense of how she interacts with the other musicians. Usually they pretty much ignore her at first, but her suggestions are always good, and once she starts singing she's impossible to ignore.
AJA will be one of the greatest voices in music history, or maybe she is yet... Whatever you listen from her you will be impressed because she is a true artist who put talent and work to improve her artistry since she was very young.
Great reaction to a vocal tour-de-force! You've done it now. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (135+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday , Nancy Sinatra , and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Frank Sinatra to Etta James to Michael Jackson to Amy Winehouse (and many others in between) and do them all justice! After hearing just one song you have no idea how good she is. If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40 piece military band. With her immense vocal toolkit, arranging ability (yeah, that too, since about 8yo or so) and the work ethic to make what she does only 'seem' effortless, she will hopefully be touching hearts for a long time to come. Wait until you find out why she performs barefooted. Why God has performed the miracle of touching the world with one of such talent, musical IQ, commitment, and generosity as Angelina we can wonder but we must all marvel. Welcome aboard the AJ train! Please react to more of her impressive library. It is truly a conundrum when we try to rationalize how it is possible that this tiny sweet-faced 9yo Norwegian girl can step up to a microphone, flip some switch within her, become this "beast-mode" version of herself (most probably named "AJ don't play"), deliver an extraordinary and musically and socially sophisticated performance, then just-like-that return to the pensive young lady once again... There aren't words for this! "I Put a Spell On You" has been covered many times and is recognized as a classic, yet almost never is the tone of the original 1956 "Screamin" Jay Hawkins version captured. This is because Hawkins was the original shock rock guy (think Ozzy Osbourne type craziness) and his style is difficult to emulate and also because his dated delivery is uncomfortable and stereotypical to our modern sensibilities. Yet Angelina respectfully sings his own song in a manner that exceeds his (Hawkin's image is on the candle she holds at the start of her video). She starts low, rising in intensity throughout and finishes in an unexpected and practically operatic style. You must go and listen to Hawkins' original (and throw in a couple of "famous" covers as well) to see the true genius in how AJ incorporates many of his vocal elements [usually omitted by most singers]. This shows another aspect of her musical IQ and arranging genius (not to mention her masterful control of her vocal instrument equaled by few others regardless of age). She wrote the instramental arrangement and tweeked a bit with the lyrics. At 9 years old, with a voice like that, can write instramental arrangments, wow just seems like an understatment. Amazing and talented are understated way to much. This young lady is so great that whatever you can say about it is always going to be an understatment in my opinion.
Its hard to point out a song thats "better" than the other with her. Maybe Bohemian Rhapsody, it lured most of the latest addition to her Angels into that bottomless rabbithole of hers. Usually its simply just the next song. At least until you listen to the next after that. After some 140+ songs, shouldnt we be able to predict how she'll be sounding by now? But no, its just not happening. Fly me to the moon is kind of a signature song of hers, she's been performing it for years since age of 8. Quincy Jones even invited her to his 80th birthday gala concert to sing the original arrangement he did for Frank Sinatra. I suggest having a look at both versions. The view 2014: th-cam.com/video/nBGMQ9Kx9iI/w-d-xo.html London 2018 (concert sound dubbed with cinematics from the rehearsal): th-cam.com/video/OMkwoqUNNkE/w-d-xo.html
What she brings to the table? I would say the whole buffet, a veritable cornucopia of styles and techniques. Where to go next? You are in the rock scene, so how about her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT Champions .. a stellar performance with her unique, jazzy take on that anthem.
She did a demo for (IM STILL HOLDING OUT FOR YOU) It never released because of few lines in the end of the song. Honestly you can't go wrong with any one of her covers.
Great reaction, thanks so much for sharing! 💖 You commented on the sax solo, and you saying you love 'Fly me to the moon'.. makes me think that you are in for one hell of a journey with Angelina and her music 😎 She has several versions of Fly me to the moon, the one you got suggested is a music video, directed by her grandma. Both the video and the audio is absolutely stunning. My favorite is the version she sang for Quincy Jones, the guy who arranged this song for Frank Sinatra, at his 85th birthday concert. Fun fact - Buzz Aldrin played the song when he was at the moon 😊 Its hard to suggest songs from her catalogue of more than 140 songs when I dont know what you like, but the most popular one is by far her version of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' from America got Talent. Anyways, thanks again and see you in the next one!
They are all fab.........I liked the audition songs on Norways got talent......."I'm a Fool to Want you" Billy Holidays "Gloomy Sunday" Ella Fitzeralds "Summertime" and Nancy Senatras Bang Bang............There is a vid out there that all 4 of those in one............It will shock you.....
Welcome to the world of Angelina ! She's been singing since the age of 2 ! She has a jazz influenced background ! Angelina won Norway's Got Talent in 2014 at the age of 8 !!!! Every song from that show was mind-blowing ! I would suggest "Summertime " from the show ,it's the song that won it !!! Angelina has over 130 covers on TH-cam and she manages to make each one her own ! She has produced 5 originals ! Her rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody " from America's Got Talent the Champions in 2020 was a masterpiece ! Her two newest originals "Million Miles " and "7th Heaven " are incredibly talented songs ! Pick any of her songs and I guarantee you will always be amazed never disappointed ! Thank you for your heartfelt comments they are so much appreciated ! Keep posting 👍🤗🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦👍🤗
She was 9 here and she does her own arrangements. IMO The Greatest Performance ever from the Greatest of all Time. You should start with all 4 songs, in order, on Norway's Got Talent 2014 at 7 and 8 years old. Some reactors have done all 4 in 1 reaction and it works great because you see her improvement each time. You can throw in newer stuff like Bohemian Rhapsody and Yellow Brick Road from AGT Champions 2020. Plus her recent original 7th Heaven. Only 135+ covers and 5 or 6 originals to choose from.
New sub loved the reaction.Try fast forwarding 1 yr to a 10 yrs Angelina singing I'm holding out for You.This is so good it could have easily trended top 10 if her team hadn't blocked an official release, but that's a story in itself.
You'd prolly really enjoy her performance of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Bohemian Rhapsody on America's Got Talent, when she was 13. According to her, she began singing at the ripe age of 1 and a half years old. At about 4 or 5 years old, she began begging her parents, to let her try out for "Simon's show", as she put it. They finally relented, and allowed her to try out for Norway's Got Talent. As she has stated many times; She won Norway's Got Talent at 7 years old, with songs like "Summertime" and "Gloomy Sunday". At the end of the final, it was announced that she had garnered 46% of the vote total, with the other nine finalists combining for the remaining 54%. It wasn't even close. Angelina always performs barefoot, as a reminder of the millions of impoverished children in the world, This began one day, on the way to a performance. She found herself talking to a similarly aged little girl on the street, weighing people for bits of change, and noticed she was barefoot. She asked, and her mom explained the less fortunate. Moments later, Angelina gave her new little friend, the shoes she had been wearing, and they embraced. It's my understanding, that they still stay in touch. Angelina has already raised millions for various children's charities. Angelina does all of her own arrangements, writes, composes, sews and designs most of the frocks she performs in. 😉😊✌ I've even seen her give corrections, and directions to orchestral conductors that she often performs with! Angelina knows what she wants, how it's done, and has all the confidence to see it through. She is a hypnotic vocalist, like that of legendary sirens of the seas, but her purpose is to positively engage and motivate the human soul. This will make more sense, as you dive into the Jordan rabbit hole. There are currently, approximately 140 performances available, and she's now cranking out new material, every couple of weeks, like *Billie Jean" and "Yesterday*. She's about to explode onto the music scene, as is Courtney Hadwin, in very short order. Both were setback by Covid. DEFINITELY CHECKOUT COURTNEY, BECAUSE SHE, TO, IS MAGIC, but in the ROCK & POP genre. A natural. 🤘✌
Fly Me To The Moon is very good as well as all the Norway’s Got Talent performances. Another one to consider is Feeling Good (live on the stream) at ten years old.
From Republic Records bio, Angelina said “Today, I sing barefoot as a reminder of all the kids in the world who need help and support.” See Angelina's book "Mellom to hjerter" (Between Two Hearts) for background story of 6-year old Angelina meeting shoeless girl to whom Angelina gave her shoes. Angelina is nine years old in this performance and she wrote arrangement. She also was the youngest Norwegian citizen to have written a book and had it published. She was also nine years old when she wrote her book.
Since you've listened to Diana singing Wicked Game you should try Angelina's version. Very haunting is the only way I can describe it. And yet it's my favorite. Angelina sings to your soul. No other way to describe it because there are very few artists I can think of that can do that. Always have tissues near by. Just sayin'. I'd rather listen to Angelina's version of covers than the originals. Check out Bohemian Rhapsody for sure. Queen gave her the copyright for her version. Yeah. It's that good. 😎
Sadly, Angelina’s paternal grandfather died in March 2018 and her maternal grandfather died in November 2019. Angelina’s maternal grandmother Mery Zamani has had tremendous influence on Angelina and her career as she introduced Angelina to Jazz at early age. Mery is famous Iranian contemporary writer, poet and painter who was also child prodigy herself being on Radio Iran's Children program at age 4 and began writing poetry and painting by age of 9. Later Mery was trained in art at Tokyo Academy in Japan where she met her husband, who was Japanese, during her master degree's training in Japan. There is nine year old video showing some of Mery's artwork in home setting: th-cam.com/video/i9NxX0tSjS0/w-d-xo.html ---- Mery has TH-cam channel that supports Angelina called Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz: th-cam.com/channels/hM_lpT4shdnsez93QMJPig.html. There are lots of videos in it that could only have been taken by insider or family member. Mery is also widely known under artist alias name Mosarz ---- Mery illustrated book that Angelina wrote ("Mellom to hjerter" that translates to Between Two Hearts) and was published in November 2015 when Angelina was 9 years-old and became youngest published author in Norway. Book based on Angelina's notes in her diary/notebooks and describes her meeting with shoeless girl. Podcast was published by Angelina’s publisher, Cappelen Damm, in 2015. In it Angelina talks with Erling Kittelsen, Norwegian author and poet and friend of family, about her book. Angelina tells of her understanding with little girl that Angelina will not wear shoes when she performs and that little girl will pray for Angelina. During pauses in talk, we hear small extracts from book which should be on children's reading list: th-cam.com/video/6p6iL989P_8/w-d-xo.html There are three published Angelina videos created and directed by Mery: ---- Fly Me To The Moon (as 10-year old, sung in video. One of most viewed Angelina videos: th-cam.com/video/jnnzbdt4_RE/w-d-xo.html) ---- When You're Smiling (as 11-year old. Fun video that starts out with Angelina missing school attendance. She is riding bike and comes across sad girl crying and stops to see what is wrong. You will have to watch video to see what happens next: th-cam.com/video/bLuNQ6s7fCQ/w-d-xo.html) ---- Shield [as 12-year old, Angelina wrote this song. As 13-year old, Mery did artistic video of Angelina singing song: th-cam.com/video/m8OCbAlr_48/w-d-xo.html. As 12-year old, sung on very popular Scandinavian talk show Skavlan (2.5 to 3 million viewers per show): th-cam.com/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/w-d-xo.html] [In interview (changes to English at about 0:36 mark) before Angelina sung on Skavlan, paraphrasing, she said that when she sings she goes into endless other world that is full of happiness. She said that song Shield is about someone you love and whose strong love protects you wherever you are. Angelina said song's sound was inspired by Bond films. Her favorite Bond film songs are Diamonds Are Forever and Goldfinger. She sings few bars of Diamonds Are Forever a cappella. She said that highlight of her career was singing for Quincy Jones' 85th birthday concert in London. When asked if she feels like she is 12 years old, Angelina says she only does when she looks at her passport: th-cam.com/video/97hjWg4ToRQ/w-d-xo.html] ---- 7th Heaven (wrote as 15-year old. I want more Angelina reactions. Like " I'm still holding out for you", a cover by Baby Fuzz and her mother didn't want her to release it but it was Leaked. She's 10 years when she sings it. Love from Norway 🇳🇴
I would recommend starting with her Norway's Got Talent winning performances when she was 7 - 8 years old. Start with her first one "Gloomy Sunday" by Billie Holiday. Here is the version with English subtitles. th-cam.com/video/d3gSho9yf88/w-d-xo.html
Fly Me to the Moon - AJ's best version of that is when she sang it in 2018 to lead off the 85th birthday celebration of Quincy Jones in London (at Quincy's request). She was 12 yo then.
From Iowa, USA; 1. An important thing to remember about AJ is that she owns the rights to everything she sings and with aquired permissions for covers of other singers. 2. She refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. 3. She began singing at 18 months and due to her grandmothers influence, she was drawn to and fell in love with jazz and blues music. 4. She has been arranging most, if not all of her music performances since she was 8 years old. 5. Currently in 2022 she still performs barefoot, sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother) and she stands 6 feet tall at 15 yeats old! 6. We all hope to enjoy her performances for many years to come. 7. BTW I'm 80 and have been involved privately in music since age 7.
At just past her ninth birthday Angelina outclassed seasoned professional singers three times her age, did it with her own arrangement and in English, which is not her native tongue. 'Nuff said!
I found this reaction to be cute and adorable, two adjectives which make me gag when I hear them applied to this performance of Angelina's. Unparalleled and masterful are more in line with my way of thinking. With luck, hopefully you'll come around Mr. Rockstar as you are exposed to more of her content :)
@@MattFarkas When one is reacting to a Mozart-level genius, cute and adorable just don't cut it. It's indicative that you just didn't "get" this one in a lifetime talent. Maybe you need to brush up on your music appreciation or your communication skills.....Btw, it was a tenor sax, not an alto.
@@103mrg Harsh, but okay. I think it's kind of unfair to expect someone to fully appreciate an artist from hearing one single song, especially when it's a cover. And she IS cute and adorable, she's a 9 year old girl here. That doesn't mean she can't be a genius, too. Instead of trying to push new listeners away for not being extreme enough in their reactions, maybe try being nice and giving positive encouragement to continue listening? Just a thought. I'm going to be listening to more Angelina regardless. 😊
@@MattFarkas Please forgive some of Angelina's "fans" Most of us (she calls us her ANGELS" Understand your intent and appreciate your very first reaction. For suggestions the Quincy Jones rendition is her best at 11/12 years old. Summer Time was the song that won NGT at age 8 and any others are all gems to watch and listen to. We ALL look forward to another 145 or more reactions from you and THANKS!
@@MattFarkas You call yourself "Rockstar" and say that you are a guitarist and a songwriter. That is what created the expectation that you had a solid understanding of music. So don't write that I was being unfair. I wasn't looking for an "extreme" reaction; I was looking for a knowledgeable reaction from a self-proclaimed musician. Unfortunately, it wasn't there.
Fly Me to the Moon.... two good videos by Angelina...the one with the horse at about 8 years old and the performance for Quincey Jones around 14 years old. Both are wonderful and show show her growth.
I never thought a 9-year-old would blow me away, but she did!
Barely 9 years old, and this is her arrangement as a tribute (black and white) to "Screamin" Jay's (1956) original. Plain and simply, this is a MASTERPIECE!!
Angelina is the best...as simple as that...
That's insane, I had no idea!
nfp,, well said,, funny thing she calls them her "wishes" being polite,, witch she does 99.999% to her covers,, couple classics she leaves alone,,,👣
4 of the 5 musicians she had worked with previously at live concerts. You see how the bass player smiled at the beginning of the song. He knew what was coming. Her nickname is admiringly "the boss".
Very well said.
Angelina is "The Boss".
It's all her arraignment.
Angelina is the best I have heard ever. Best wishes to you
Wow, wonderful comments below..A big thumbs up....Wonderful reaction to this awesome performer....
Her arrangement..
You should hear her now
I'm going to do something newer from her next!
The best I have ever heard about her: "How is it to be an all time great Jazz singer at the age of 8?" - and I add "With 40 years of experience".
Progressive metal is my favourite genre. I only listen to Angelina recently, she is so extraordinary.
Right? I feel like her singing is something anyone can enjoy. Excited to listen to some newer music from her to see where her voice is now!
@@MattFarkas LOL yes! She is already top class, it's insane.Yes, the genre isn't rock or metal, but she just grabs your attention, and won't let you go.
There is recording when she was 1,5 years old with a mike in her hand trying to sing Whitney Houston! There is a rock cover of Queen- The Show Must Go On when she was 13, really good, but that's the only one:)
Anyway I hope your reaction will be picked up and get the views, so you maybe do another few reaction to her.
Thank you for reading and Keep up the good work
good job...: )
She did it because she risked everything for a better future.”
So, Michael flew alone to Los Angeles, studied and learned anything he could learn from the people he got to know during his time in the Industry. After gathering a bunch of people, he came back to Norway and started the process. He indicated that “A few months later, I told her, PACK YOUR BAGS! We are going next week to pursue your dream! All in baby. Her smile made it all worth the hassle.”
“We stayed patient because the way this industry works is bizarre and you have to dodge bullets right and left to get anywhere. But would I do it again? Of course! Life without challenge is boring," Michael says.
For Michael, a lot of his time involves talking with industry people, to see what’s happening out there. Having recently become a father and with COVID-19, time has become even busier and more crazy than usual. “There is a lot of stuff happening with Angelina, and it requires daily briefings with a lot of people.”
America’s Got Talent had always been interested in bringing Angelina to the show, but with their normal contract, artists are being locked into a label, management, and other things for many years. Michael says that it did not matter if you get exposure or not, it was out of the question to give away that many rights.
This kind of patience eventually paid off. Michael said that “Some time passed and they again contacted me, asking if she wanted to sing on their show. I convinced them to give me a contract where Angelina is free from any deal if she performs, she is great for their TV show and Angelina will get the exposure she needs to breakthrough, because I knew, the talent is one of the kind like no other, I just needed her to be seen and was on a daily hunt for how to get the right spot for her in the USA.”
After, Angelina’s success on America’s Got Talent, she eventually signed with Republic Records in August 2020 where Angelina was told she was Republic’s highest priority new artist. Michael says the commitment with the right interest in mind has been one of the most important things when choosing a team and partners to be part of Angelina’s team. “You also need to choose someone with the right chemistry. These are the people you have to deal with on a daily basis, you have to have a good feeling and chemistry with the team you choose.”
Although no specifics yet, Michael says that the plans for Angelina include going global.
Screaming J Hawkins 1956 wrote and performed . check it out. pretty much right on .

9 years old here - Fly me to the Moon is crazy good also 'A Million Years Ago', 'Stay', 'Born to Die' - or even 'Summertime' her winning song on Norway's Got Talent - 7 years old
I just suscribed because of Angelina.
Hope you’ll continue reacting with her covers and original songs.
She’s a music genius and very unique!!
You lucky lucky man, you just discovered my favorite singer. So many genres, so many voices, so much variety in impressiveness, IMHO. Thumbs up sir.
God you mega-stans are so so so weird and creepy.
She did Bohemian Rapsody on America Got Tallent and got kudos from Queen for it. Absolutely worth a listen;)
She is always so delightful, astonishing and carismatic, ....AJ renditions are always impeccable. Thanks
Just subscribed for our beautiful Angel, Angelina.
Fly me to the moon is great but there are also all her performances at norway got talent when she was 7-8.
I didn't know she arranged this song going into it - doubly impressive! :)
She is a true musical savant/genius. I hope you explore more of her stuff. She has a huge on line following. Great jazz singer.
Just subscribed, looking forward to more of your Angelina reactions.
Appreciate the sub, Crondar! There will be more!
Here’s a few suggestions:
Bohemian Rhapsody for an amazing bluesy/jazzy performance that’s the best music video I’ve ever seen.
She’s a legend in the making!!!🌹🌹🌹
Glad to be taking this journey with you all!
This is her tribute to the 1956 classic by Screamin' Jay Hawkins, which you should check out if you want to see how good this 9-year old is.
Screaming J Hawkins wrote and performed this originally
Anything from Angelina Jordan is going to be good. She makes all the arrangements on her covers. That's what amazes me she's so young and she knows how to orchestrate music.
Happy Sweet 16th Birthday Angelina!!!! (1/10/2022)
gracias por reaccionar a Angelina "el ángel de los pies descalzos " tenes mucho para ver de ella, un abrazo y gracias por los subtitulos 🤗🤗🤗
subscribing for more Angelina.7yrs of listening And stil amazed.
She is passionate about singing, the rest comes naturally.
Welcome to AJ's World....
Hi, she is only 9 in this video. Amazing isn't she
"Fly Me To The Moon" is perfect, if you know and love that song.
Her arrangement. Vocals and music.

Here her sing Bohemian Rhapsody Angelina Jordan
What she brings to the table? I would say the whole buffet, a veritable cornucopia of styles and techniques.
Where to go next? You are in the rock scene, so how about her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT Champions .. a stellar performance with her unique, jazzy take on that anthem.
Look forward to more of your reactions to Angelina, whether they are covers or her originals, I think you will be amazed.
Thank you for your wonderful reaction. We Angelina fans are passionate about her career and eagerly watch her progress!
Next would be her performance on AGT of Queen's Bohemian rhapsody. A killer!
Nice reaction, she was young 9 years 2 months old there
Welcome to the world of Angelina !
Feeling Good is fabulous!
A few of over 130 other songs by Angelina includes:
---- Bang Bang My Baby Shot Me Down (as 8-year old, sung on 2014 Norway's Got Talent: th-cam.com/video/HCaDyiqs7Wg/w-d-xo.html)
---- What A Difference A Day Makes (as 8-year old, sung Dinah Washington classic on TV 2 singalong show Allsang På Grensen held outdoors at Fredriksten Fortress in Halden, Norway on Thursday June 3, 2014. Angelina is nine years old in this performance and she wrote arrangement. She also was the youngest Norwegian citizen to have written a book and had it published. She was also nine years old when she wrote her book.
“Fly me to the moon” version on The View, 2016
There is nine year old video showing some of Mery's artwork in home setting: th-cam.com/video/i9NxX0tSjS0/w-d-xo.html
---- Mery has TH-cam channel that supports Angelina called Angelina Jordan Fanclub Mosarz: th-cam.com/channels/hM_lpT4shdnsez93QMJPig.html. There are lots of videos in it that could only have been taken by insider or family member. Mery is also widely known under artist alias name Mosarz
---- Mery illustrated book that Angelina wrote ("Mellom to hjerter" that translates to Between Two Hearts) and was published in November 2015 when Angelina was 9 years-old and became youngest published author in Norway. During pauses in talk, we hear small extracts from book which should be on children's reading list: th-cam.com/video/6p6iL989P_8/w-d-xo.html
There are three published Angelina videos created and directed by Mery:
---- Fly Me To The Moon (as 10-year old, sung in video. One of most viewed Angelina videos: th-cam.com/video/jnnzbdt4_RE/w-d-xo.html)
---- When You're Smiling (as 11-year old. Fun video that starts out with Angelina missing school attendance. She is riding bike and comes across sad girl crying and stops to see what is wrong. You will have to watch video to see what happens next: th-cam.com/video/bLuNQ6s7fCQ/w-d-xo.html)
---- Shield [as 12-year old, Angelina wrote this song. As 13-year old, Mery did artistic video of Angelina singing song: th-cam.com/video/m8OCbAlr_48/w-d-xo.html. As 12-year old, sung on very popular Scandinavian talk show Skavlan (2.5 to 3 million viewers per show): th-cam.com/video/lQtUbVKb0vs/w-d-xo.html]
[In interview (changes to English at about 0:36 mark) before Angelina sung on Skavlan, paraphrasing, she said that when she sings she goes into endless other world that is full of happiness. When asked if she feels like she is 12 years old, Angelina says she only does when she looks at her passport: th-cam.com/video/97hjWg4ToRQ/w-d-xo.html]
---- 7th Heaven (wrote as 15-year old. There are four video versions. Audio with lyrics that uses Mery’s painting Rows of Angels as background: th-cam.com/video/o4Vl3I1WWq4/w-d-xo.html. Audio only with last measure slightly different from studio version: th-cam.com/video/N0yK_07a1_U/w-d-xo.html. [Studio video was created by Stargate who is top shelf record producing and songwriting team (Tor E. Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen) that is now based in Los Angeles. Team's genres include R&B, pop and hip hop. They have won 4 Grammy Awards and been nominated 17 times. Besides Angelina, they have produced or written for Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie, Wiz Khalifa, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Rita Ora, Normani, Mis-Teeq, Celine Dion, Blue, Janet Jackson, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Sam Smith, Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Pink, Sia, Whitney Houston, Nas, Chris Brown, Khalid, Charli XCX, Trey Songz and others]
[Angelina said: “The initial idea for ‘7th Heaven’ was that I love the number 7, and ‘heaven’ is such a powerful word and makes you dream away,” she explained. “I collaborated with Stargate to create ‘7th Heaven.’ The background story of making this song was that I had this melody that I played for Tor and Mikkel and it turned out that they loved the idea and it went pretty smooth from there to the finish [the] song.” Angelina and her team kept tweaking the song until it was perfect and ready for release. “We definitely tried many different elements to feel the right sound to it,” she said.]
[Angelina revealed that she is often inspired to create music from personal pain: “Strong emotions, mainly painful ones, often make me write music,” she shared]
[Angelina said that studio video will look like: “The visual will look something like old school meets new school kinda vibe to it,” she assured. “I love the styles they had before and I want to bring it back again.”]
---- Million Miles (co-wrote as 14-year old. There are three video versions. Audio with lyrics using Mery’s paintings as background: th-cam.com/video/NhKRh5ZtuWk/w-d-xo.html. She had just turned 9.
Wasn't too far off!
@@MattFarkas Dangerous to guess the age of a lady.. ;-)

I want more Angelina reactions. Like " I'm still holding out for you", a cover by Baby Fuzz and her mother didn't want her to release it but it was Leaked. She's 10 years when she sings it. Love from Norway 🇳🇴
9 years and 2 months
She is doing a tribute to Screaming Jay Hawkins, she composed this arrangement
I’m still holding out for you - her best ever…🇿🇦
Subscribed.
🔥✌🤓👍💯👏
I would recommend starting with her Norway's Got Talent winning performances when she was 7 - 8 years old. Start with her first one "Gloomy Sunday" by Billie Holiday. Here is the version with English subtitles. th-cam.com/video/d3gSho9yf88/w-d-xo.html
Fly me to the moon live on the view is super by our angel
Fly Me to the Moon - AJ's best version of that is when she sang it in 2018 to lead off the 85th birthday celebration of Quincy Jones in London (at Quincy's request). She was 12 yo then.
From Iowa, USA;
'Nuff said!
Screamin' Jay is on the candle. Nina Simone has a famous cover.
Sorry, I didn't mean to offend! I was amazed at her skill, believe me. :)
For comparison. You can find Screamin Jay Hawkins 1956 original on youtube.
I watched it after viewing this one, it's so much fun! Haha
