What a stunning day for Emirates TNZ. A masterclass achievement and a faultless day and near perfect executions. The team of 8 really gelled well.
Cheers Ak, NZ
Team NZ showcased its true colours in both races today. Fast, flawless, and first. Congrats to a classy team
Lucky windshift in that first race today
The faster boat and getting in phase right at the start- pretty much unbeatable
Sailing awayyyyy ..start the Song
I can't really add to what your loving fans have already said, but WOW you truly kicked there teeth in and we all know that their dreams were absolutely crushed today despite their brave faces.. I honestly felt a little sorry for them but they really did meet their match today.
Not much of a competition, most non sailors will, I think, how can team INEOS spend £100 million plus and it’s not even close 🤷🏻♂️
Oggi New Zealand è un missile, troppo forte.
The sailing and hosting of AC37 has been epic - but the broadcasting has been appalling. Mis-titling videos and causing spoilers, deplorable chat from Stephen McIvor. Do better.
Just watching this last leg and can’t help but feel the vibes of this old waiata. Not counting chicks before they hatch but in this race, we really were ‘SAILING AWAY’. th-cam.com/video/K1Md20KNs98/w-d-xo.html Kia kaha tonu ETNZ.
I'm confused by the title: "Louis Vuitton 37th America's Cup Race 7". Was it not Race 8?
5 + 2 =
37th time the cup has been challenged.( every 4 yrs) 2 races today. Race 7 & 8. To win the cup, it is the team that wins seven races. After today, Kiwis 6, British 2. Tomorrow will be exciting.
You are correct. it was race 8.
Team UK needs to stay in the game. Team NZ had to lose before they could win. Love Italy too. They deserve a win.
上りで200m、下りで300−400mの差がつくと絶望的になる
🇳🇿💯
🇳🇿🇳🇿💪
I had to turn the sound off
Ben doesn’t have a good poker face, a bad hand from 20 seconds into the race😆
Match point 🇳🇿
Video title says Race 7, video shows race 8...i would have expected better
I would like the America's Cup so much better if it was fleet racing. Match racing is simply dull in comparison.
Not coming home.
Well Done ETNZ, one more win to the old mug, the Brit's are only 2 mistakes from losing
speriamo che ETNZ chiudano presto questa AC 37 con la vittoria mancante, perché non ha senso andare oltre
Spero di non vedere più America,s Cup con barche diverse.
This is the Formula 1 of boat racing.
It's really cool.
But at these speeds the racing becomes boring quickly because it becomes impossible to pass.
I propose a change to the rules making a match multiple starts and only two legs.
Instead of one start and eight legs, do four starts and eight legs.
Start - race - reset - start - race - reset.... repeat.
First to three, wins the match.
First to seven matches wins the cup.
Or best of 13, 21, whatever if we account for draws.
Also imagine three boats on track.
Would that work?
Would that be more exciting?
Or too dangerous?
At this point the limiting factor to speed is sailor fragility.
If the sailors can be made safe in bigger crashes, then the speed of the boat can be made higher.
It would be very interesting to see the development race to maximising the speed of sailing technology.
We are at the point where we must answer the question:
What is a sailor?
I just want to see how fast these things can go, without killing any of the crew or bystanders.
😄😄 you get your hands on the cup and then you can make the rules. Get your team together and we'll see you as a challenger in the next cup. Become the challenger of record and you can have a say. Good luck
@americascup Why keep the batteries' output secret, unlike the cyclors'? Scared we won't "love the AC75s"?
Plug-in hybrids! With even swappable battteries!!!
Be transparent and let the public choose.
This is Race 8!!! Thanks for ruining race 7 for me which is what I was wanting to watch.
It's hard to understand how they always manage to screw up in a way or another!
wrong title
Prestategli Luna Rossa a Ben 🤭
Avrebbe perso pure con luna rossa, Kiwi velocissimi, soprattutto in manovra
Let’s hope they get rid of these stupid boats for the next America’s Cup. Absolutely no sailing skill required. Incredibly boring.
You been sailing on one, eh?
Bring back the lead mines 😂
:) ironically it was actually a proper sailors day today, playing the breeze and shifts. Kiwis did it infinitely better. would have been the same with displacement boats. and the same result if they'd swap boats!
a sailors race today, boats may be close but the kiwis do it so much better.
(and it keeps Shirley quiet which is always a bonus!)
