I've been doing this non-stop for the past two weeks and it's been such a boost to my morale. I still need a couple of stubborn items to finish my bathroom and kitchen but I've found so many items that actually make my house feel like a home. When you can't even get basic items like a washing machine after playing the game for nine months, there's clearly a problem. Resetting Scrooge has been the only way I've found what I wanted.
You can do this on switch also. Just hold down power button until switch turns off completely. It took me 700 times to get the “rock rug” aka rocky terrain. You got the ice cream cart that I haven’t seen yet, so maybe you’ll get lucky. 😅
Do you mean the power button at the top of the console not the joycon? Do you just let it go to sleep mode or choose Close option to restart the console?

What a fun video! I loved seeing all of the different items. I hope you get your rock rug soon., I have 700 hours in the game but probably only 25% of the furniture you do. I am on switch so can’t refresh his store and I mostly get repeats. It’s interesting though that I have several of the items you were seeing for the first time….the monstors inc. funky storage and the Cinderella painted cabinet. AND I have the lounging rock! but i have less than 40% of every category of furniture. Frustrating to continually have an entire store full of repeats, ugh! Thanks for the video!
They should implement an "already bought" mark on things, I hate having to check with scrooge...
I keep buying the same clothing 😭 at least with furniture etc having two is nifty, but with identical clothing you just lose money
I was in Scrooge's shop and there was the Christmas rug from the Holiday star path. Which is good on the one hand, people who didn't get it in time will be able to have it. On the other hand, those of use who used moonstones and did the work to unlock it, is a kick in the teeth.
Omg I was hoping they would do this so they would release the items from Pixar event

I've been trying for that crafting table for days. No luck yet. Trying to get it before the update in case they fix it.

I don't know if anyone knows this...but if you're playing on xbox console, you can refresh his store by closing out the game before the save as long as you don't buy anything. I just tried it 3 times and it worked every time. Go straight to the store in the beginning. If you don't like the items hit the home button on the controller and close out the game from the main console menu. Then restart the game and go back to the store. Rinse and Repeat❤
You can do this on console too, just shut the game down directly from the console menu. But you have to do it before the auto save at 5 minutes otherwise it won’t work.
Yup, just go directly to the store and do not do anything, just walk in and look around. Don't like what you see, hit the home button and quit the game. When you restart the game the store has reset. Way easier than the method shown in the video 😊

You can refresh your game on Xbox. I do this everyday. I do not have the rock rug yet. But I’m looking for the Cinderella’s ballroom chandelier, ceiling chandelier, and the white columns. So I can use them all for my beauty and the beast ballroom. Lol I have a whole floor dedicated to beauty and the beast. Belle’s bedroom, Price Adam’s bedroom, the ballroom, and Gaston’s Tavern.
I thought it would be easy to get items like this but it actually shows how hard it is to get new items on Scrooge's. It's a bug so it'll probably get fixed in the next update
I've been doing this for months. (As my son said, it's a game within itself, lol.) That being said, I FINALLY just YESTERDAY got my Painting Table from Tangled that can be used as a crafting table. I restarted my game at least 20 times a day for over a month. And I hate to say it but that rock rug I didn't see once in that time. I do have that rug but got it in the fall. I thought I would use it alot also but it counts towards the item limit so it doesn't get used as I intended it. I have it in front of a few houses. Good luck and hang in there, it will eventually show up!
Edit: Also you see by doing this it's completely a RNG thing... giving Scrooge presents doesn't help. I say everyone should do this while it's still possible. Too many people talking about it that I'm sure they will figure out how to stop it. Also, it is possible on Xbox to do it (or it was) because I bought my game on my son's Xbox and I was doing it on there (just shutting the game down with no fast access enabled) and it was working. (Then he confiscated his Xbox back so I began playing on my PC. ha)

You actually can do this on console I was just doing it on my Xbox series S. You simply hit the home button and close the game that way then reload the game and bam new items in the shop.

This is considered an exploit. I figured this out a few months ago and tried to share the tip on Discord. The mods were on me within a minute.
Oh yes. Nearly 12 hours of resetting and finally got the rock rug. 🎉 Now just the crafting table to go.

You can also use your collection tab to view items that you already have

Spent three hours doing this last night. I have just over 50 percent of the furniture items but I hardly saw anything new in that time. I'm wondering if different things are rare for different people and they plan to bring trading in with multiplayer.

This works on Xbox as well and I got the Rock Rug and the Leaf Pile Rug from it!
It works for my daughter in the Xbox but on my PS4 it doesn’t always work, just occasionally it will actually work
How can I do this on switch??? I’m getting maybe 1 or 2 new items everyday. Really want more Beauty and the beast and also tangled items! Anybody have any tips?

If the Devs/ Gameloft find out about this, they'll patch it and it won't work anymore. IDK why YT'bers have to tell everything just to get a view.
It’s been out there on YT for months.
People have been talking about this for some time now. I don't think they could get around it, nor would I think they'd want to increase the times auto save kicks in.

I’m new and idk if you don’t know this by now but someone said if there’s a red dot next to the item while browsing in the store that means you do not have it, no red dot means you do. Good tip also hope it’s true lol

I've been meaning to ask something, does the Clothing Sets number it's stuck 804 for you guys? Like, are there new items to show up or this is right? Cause if I'm not mistaken, the items from the Premium Shop are not supposed to count on the total. But mine is stuck on 804/845 and is not showing up any new items in Scrooge's Shop. Just wanted to know if it's a bug or something.

Next release, they will implement full auto-save on entrance to Scrooges store, guarantee it. :)
Yeah. I'm getting stuck into this now to try and get a few items before then.
you DO NOT have to use the task manager, you just have to right click the game icon on the taskbar and click "close window". It's much faster and does the exact same thing, it just force closes the program. I've been doing it this way for awhile and it's fine, doesn't hurt the game or anything else.

It sometimes does not work, the method in the video works better, and it has very little error in the process. Just because you can close process faster, not everyone's can

It took me 7 hours straight but finally the rocky terrain (Rock rug) finally entered my shop !!!!!!

rock rug is called rocky terrain just fyi. and its difficult to access outside to place the item
it's called Rocky Terrain and its 1000 star coin from scrooge orders. I also have it.
Also doable from Xbox by tapping the Xbox icon then following the quit game prompts.

This does not work. Don't know if they patched this or what, but it did not work for me, and nothing had saved, so that was not the issue. Just doesn't work.

You can do it on XBOX but not PS4 and I’m not sure about last gen Xbox but it does work on seriesX/S
Doing this method also since a while, but refreshing only until I get just ANY new item, because I dont want spent hours for that every day 😅
Relatively new player here. How can i buy multiples of a window? I see people's DreamSnaps, and they have multiples of the same window. I purchase one from Scrooge, and it disappears as soon as i buy it.
Talk to scrooge, there is an option to order furniture from him, you can buy 25 items per day
It would be interesting to calculate how many items you had repeated out of how many times you refreshed
Shows how much we need the items to say that we already owned and how many WHEN looking at the items
I’m on xbox and have done it, Just quit out the game without saving & it does rotate the shop
I don't know if I did somethig wrong but I tried to do the same on my PC and didn't work. I have game on Microsoft Store (Game Pass)
I've been doing this 2 months now.. its totally game changing.. I can choose any item I want to pick. And I think it only works on pc

Unfortunately it doesn't work on Switch. Since I have close to 800 pieces of furniture now I rarely get new things.

Does any know if this still works on the PlayStation consoles? I tried yesterday and made sure that I closed the game before the 5 minute auto save and it didn’t work :/
I do this every day and I have a "count to 3" method where if there aren't 3 things I want, I will reset. Now if something I am desperate for is there, I count that as 3. 😂
I'm on XBOX, if that helps anyone out, I just "quit" the game within the 5 min.

What do you do on the steam deck Close the game from the steam meanu or shut down? I tried to shut down it didn’t work same for restart
@@clairyfae6863 I go to the "Steam" button, scroll down on the game to where it says exit game and click on that and it will shut down.

@@clairyfae6863 I didn't mention this, but you have to do this before the 5 minute mark (of entering the shop). I really hope it works. Just in case, I tried it now and it worked, so they haven't patched it. So, enter the store, sprint around see if you find what you want, press the Steam button, go to the DDV program menu (top) scroll down to exit game and it will probably prompt you twice to exit, go ahead and exit and start all over again. I really hope this works. Please, keep me posted!

Cool thing to discover, but truly hope this gets patched. This will defeat the purpose of future trading possibilities and takes a lot of replayability away from the game.
I do this every day for a few weeks now.... I have never seen that shelve omgawd it's beautiful. I also want that craft table I seen others have... I still have never seen it! I get the same stuff all the time and I reset like 15 times every day to get something! Omgawd and u have a radiator and an ezel?! Omgawd and the floor?! Why don't I get those stuff?! That's insane
