Congratulations to Alabama! I am an Ohio State Buckeyes fan for life. I am proud of the traditions and legacies our previous head coaches have done for the players and the football programs. We have been one of the most respected and consistent teams in the country because of them in large part. I am glad to see Alabama has a very good new head coach taking over a great football coach in history. I think they are both great persons who care deeply for their families and their teams. They are absolutely winners in life. I also appreciate the fact that the new coach allows the previous head coach full access to the program in every aspect and showed his willingness to learn from his predecessor. That’s a very wise thing to do. In business, I have had to deal with key positions transition processes many times. I found it to be absolutely beneficial to allow for this kind of smooth process that almost always lead to successful results! I wish nothing but the best for Kalen DeBoer and his family. I also hope that Nick Saban and his wife Terry would enjoy their twilight years with happiness and fulfillment. God bless you! Definitely, Oklahoma is one of the programs on the same level as an Alabama. I watched Jalen Hurts weekly when he transferred to the Sooners. We had some epic games in the past and there will be alot more now that you guys coming to the SEC. I'm not sure it will ever be possible to replicate what Coach Saban and Coach Bryant did given the current system. I will say though......I like what I've seen out of Coach Deboer with how he's in tune with the current model if CFB. He understands how touse the portal and NIL, and he clearly a great developer of talent

I would like to say that I am moved to tears by how successfully and gracefully coach Saban and the University of Alabama have entered this transition and have succeeded in making it not a devastating blow that the rest of the college football world would for see it as, but a move and transition that will make the program stronger in the long run just as Mal Moore did when he hired coach Saban in the first place! And then, coach Saban in turn sets us up for the future in such a way that I am nothing but excited about tomorrow and the next day, and the next day for Alabama football!!! Roll Tide!! Hoping they don't rise quite as high with the new hire. At least that's how most of the country sees it. You've gotten your SIX and that's after another coach got you SIX once before. So it's time for some new teams. Time for you to watch on the couch like most of us have had to do for some time. Nothing wrong with some 8-4, 9-3 finishes on an annual basis. At minute 12:50, the language is right and I think he’s realized the stature of his decision and what he’s become apart of. When you refer to the program, the university, the history as “WE”, that’s a good indication of where the mindset is.

This feels like a Wallace Wade/Frank Thomas cycle to me. I'm sure Tide fans in the 30's felt we might fall off when Wade left for Duke in 1931. And Bama hired another great coach who also won at an 80% clip or better (the fifth in Tide history to do so). I feel Deboer might surprise people more than disappoint. He's won a lot of big games with less than stellar talent. I understand Washington only had fifteen 4 stars and zero 5 stars on this year's roster. Pretty impressive to go 25-3 there in the past couple of years.

One reason I consider coach Paterno among the best coaches is because he was offered the job of the Patriots head coach and promised more money ever paid a coach at that time plus 7 % ownership of the team. Very long time Husky Fan here: A great man here. we will miss him very much at Washington. But, he left our program in much better shape that he found it. I wish nothing but successes in his future. We will try to pick up the pieces and still be able to compete, but I don't think it will be the same for a very long time here.

I'm not sure it will ever be possible to replicate what Coach Saban and Coach Bryant did given the current system. I will say though......I like what I've seen out of Coach Deboer with how he's in tune with the current model if CFB. He understands how touse the portal and NIL, and he clearly a great developer of talent

Before I even continue with the video. I would like to say that I am moved to tears by how successfully and gracefully coach Saban and the University of Alabama have entered this transition and have succeeded in making it not a devastating blow that the rest of the college football world would for see it as, but a move and transition that will make the program stronger in the long run just as Mal Moore did when he hired coach Saban in the first place! And then, coach Saban in turn sets us up for the future in such a way that I am nothing but excited about tomorrow and the next day, and the next day for Alabama football!!!

This feels like a Wallace Wade/Frank Thomas cycle to me. I'm sure Tide fans in the 30's felt we might fall off when Wade left for Duke in 1931. And Bama hired another great coach who also won at an 80% clip or better (the fifth in Tide history to do so). I feel Deboer might surprise people more than disappoint. He's won a lot of big games with less than stellar talent. I understand Washington only had fifteen 4 stars and zero 5 stars on this year's roster. Pretty impressive to go 25-3 there in the past couple of years.

One reason I consider coach Paterno among the best coaches is because he was offered the job of the Patriots head coach and promised more money ever paid a coach at that time plus 7 % ownership of the team. I was literally born a bama fan. Had a one piece on when I was 3 months old with an Alabama A on it. True bama fans stick it through thick and thin. Saban is the modern day Bear. But let me say this.. Saban deserves so much more recognition than he’s gotten. He’s a great man with a great wife behind him. They are one of the best to ever take over at Alabama.

Very long time Husky Fan here: A great man here. we will miss him very much at Washington. But, he left our program in much better shape that he found it. I wish nothing but successes in his future. We will try to pick up the pieces and still be able to compete, but I don't think it will be the same for a very long time here.
