Bit late now but a piece of rubber matting between the water heater tank and the bilge, would save on vibration wear between the two. I made fiberglass drip trays to snugly fitted under my twin engine's, easy to pump out and easy to remove to check bilge timbers. Engines and engines bay painted white, so no dark areas and any leaks easy to spot on the white.
I must give you 10 out of 10 for the grub department, a man after my own heart. Puds and something wet to wash it all down Bloody Magic. I used to make coffee's with brown milk, slept like a log afterwards.
PS: My wooden boat was built in Castleford in 1930, she went to Dunkirk 1940 spent three days taking troops off the beach to larger craft offshore. Returning to Blighty holed at the waterline and fully laden with souls. She then spent the rest of WWII patrol the Thames Estuary spotting enemy parachute mines. I bought her in 1995 and lived aboard for two years, made the Returns to Dunkirk 2000, 2005 and 2010 where I sold her waiting in the lock at Dunkirk. Spent three summers cruising the waterways of France, Belgium and my favorite Holland. Oh yes and I took her up the East coast of England, up the Humber, Air and Calder to the shipyard Lazy Days was built at. Later meeting the daughter of the shipwright who built her. Lazy Days has been anything bar lazy in her life and has now been fully restored by two later owners who had deeper pockets than me.

Thank you for your reply. You have had a wonderful time and no doubt have great memories with Lazy Days. Good for you. I have sat the calorifier on 2 small timbers. Raggedy Ann is currently at Salterhebble and I'm hoping I can move her before the freeze arrives on Thursday. I would prefer to be frozen in at Sowerby Bridge!

@@billyhaslefthome479 Didn't see the timbers so good on yer. I was in a freeze today, well the freezer. Had to make some ice, friends are having a wet run to night to practice for New Years Eve tomorrow. We'd hate to get it wrong on the night.
Nearly 6 pm in Vietnam and 28deg great supping weather.

Loved the liver & onions, Tesco's used to do little trays with that in (lovely with their trays of bubble & squeak micro'd then fried to get the burnt bits and some veg), but now they've turned them into a meal with mash --- why couldn't Tesco have left the liver trays alone.

Great idea with Bubble and Squeak. I'll have to try that. 🤠
