Aurora is from my town, so I see her around from time to time. She really stands out in the crowd- she has this friendly glow around her even when she's only walking around in town alone. I love her!
The line "be a god in the shape of a girl" was explained by Aurora in an interview once and it was so wholesome. She said "I was at an airport, it was late, I was alone and my plane was the last one to leave. It was 2016, which was a hard year for me because it was quite busy and I was sick all the time. At the airport I felt a bit out of place, out of my own body, and then I looked at this family. I saw two very tired parents, and then this little girl - she was maybe 3 years old - and she seemed to give them so much joy, even though they were very tired. And she gave me a lot of joy. She seemed to interact with almost everyone at the gate, and make everyone happy. Without even knowing it. And I loved the way happiness and love can be so… simple? Don’t underestimate the power of a child. It was just very magical to see how much it affected everyone and everything. If I was to choose a religion, I would love it if god would be something that you can touch. Something like a little girl, on this earth"

@@gabrielp9646 I think he gets the lyrics. He just doesn't´t have to agree with everything, though... I would say just the same as him just there, still I agree with Aurora that it doesn't´t make sense that God hear all of us with all that is happening in the world. In my opinion Aurora is here addressing the old theological question about the problem of evil. I like her honest agnostic take on this in this song.
Wow, what a day and documentary/concert. Just fantastic music, people, reactions throughout. A day they will all remember for the rest of their lives. No mobile /cell phones at the concert just people watching listening concentrating on the show . Amazing

Thankyou so much for giving context to the song she sang mentioning god ❤ I hadn't heard that one before, and I'm not religious myself but I can see how some people who are, might struggle with some of the lyrics without knowing the inspiration behind them.
Personally as a "believer" I have no issue with Infections of a Different Kind. I think her questions are healthy questions that are good to ask. Is there a God? Can he hear us? Does he care? How does he feel about our suffering? All very fair questions. "Be God in a shape of a girl, who walks this world", is honestly very solid doctrine. As believers, we believe that God dwells within us in the form of the Holy Spirit, and Jesus often reminds us to treat and see others through his eyes. "What you do unto the least of these, you do unto me". Being God to reach and touch others is extremely biblical although I don't know that was Aurora's intent in the lyrics. This thought is echoed at the end with "Is this the breath" (of God) "We are the breath"...again this idea is very much in line with Christianity, that when we reach out to others in love, compassion, empathy we indeed are the breath.
@@tammysquire6992 Yes, it seems to merely ask us to be the best we can be for others, and doing so because we have the innate ability to be that. While admonishing us for the things we have done that have made the world less joyous.
Christine is known for hosting music shows on NRK radio, in which Aurora has been a guest several times so i guess that's what she meant by seeing her again. at 1:18:10 she said: "dont...dont forget to dream big then. That is very important!"
So nice that you took a look at it here. For me personally the most beautiful documentary for an artist I have ever seen. There is another documentary of her, the tears will come to you and not with joy. Aurora - Once Shows the dark side of her early career. You just want to protect the girl from the world. An introverted girl who is completely overwhelmed to go out into the world. The immense pressure that weighs on her and what it did to her back then until she found a way for herself.

I really recommend All is soft inside (Live on KEXP), th-cam.com/video/IS2iVcGz_Ok/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=KEXP. Same concert she did Churchyard, which you reacted to earlier.
Papa and Mama Asknes! in 1:00:18, and I was trying to point them out before, but I get so blown away with this HAIK hike that I'm not able to click right, well, I kinda got my shit together and I did it at last......so yes.......these two, and you can see, a loving couple right there, exuding love for the beautiful creature they brought to this world to us yes they're the ones to blame! I love them for giving life to Aurora, the Queen of Queendom, she's absolutely adorable! Holy holy I made it!! Soy lo maximo!!
So glad you could experience this wonderful look into Aurora. This day in her life reveals all that she is on the inside and what effect she has made to so many others. First class documentary ....as well as a first class reaction!
I love you reaction to this concert and to Aurora. I recognize your expression through out this Aurora journey, they are very similar to what I feel when I see and hear her. She is my all time favorite and I need find a ticket for one of her shows.
She is so tiny, but wow so mighty! 💪🎶 Love her lyrics and everything about her. Also loved to watch this with you. You react to this just as I did first time. It is a masterpeace of a production too.. 🤗
I’m so glad I stayed up for this! When you said you were doing the haik concert I thought it was just going to be the concert but I’m so happy you reacted to the whole experience. I feel like seeing everything that leads up to the concert makes everything more meaningful. I love aurora’s spirit. She’s a mixture of innocence and incredible wisdom. I also love how she takes each moment for what it is and really lives in the moment. Thanks for this great reaction.
You are maybe not used to wood like that in California, since you really have to be north of Seattle to have something similar, but it come with lots and lots of rain. Bergen is well now in and outside Norway for being very rainy. A standard joke is: - A man arrived at the Bergen train station and when he got of the rain there was heavy rain so he ask a boy at the station if it was always like this. The boy answered the he did not now, since he was only seven.
You are honestly so incredible, sir! everytime i watch your videos i react the same way you do, and think the same way you think especially with your Aurora videos. I believe this is the beauty of her songs, being able to connect with each other despite the difference in generation, race, etc. Thank you, this video was such a blast to watch
Yes!! Great surprise to come home from work to! Been learning Norwegian for a while now too, glad to see I can pick up some of the words they're saying now, gotta keep on that duolingo grind. Jeg elsker Aurora!
Perfect. Beautiful reaction. I have watched this concert and doco many times, with and without reactions. And it always has such a strong emotional impact. Thank you for your words, thoughtfulness, and the way you celebrate with such deep appreciation for all the incredible magic that went into this superb piece of filmmaking. So many heartfelt moments and sensational performances just perfectly encapsulated here. I am eternally grateful to Christine and her NRK team for their dedication and skills making this experience such a magnificent tribute. In addition to everything that is remarkable about Aurora, her art, superb band, it’s seeing the extended community she clearly treasures that is serenely special. On screen and online, I am inspired seeing the effects of these positive connections rippling out. To help, to feel, and to believe in all that has been there, waiting already in us all, is a pure love for humanity and the world. That it’s simply needed for creating a love for life, in joyful times and in sadness, and we each have our own magic to help make it be a powerful force that heals, in small or perhaps big ways, and either is enough. Being kind is the gift we have to give. Much thanks for sharing this experience. Be well.
Larry, I have watched your Aurora Reaction videos since you first published them, and they take me back to the raw emotions I experienced when I first watched her videos. I am probably a few years older than you, but the calluses that have formed over my soul for the past 37 years feel solidly impenetrable. That is until Aurora's songs and voice came into life. Now I am looking at starting to play the piano again, which fell out of my life when my soul died several years ago. Thanks to Aurora for bringing me back to life (Evanescence). I am going to continue to watch your Aurora Reaction videos, and who knows, perhaps we will together discover other artists that breath life into the masses. Great job on these videos.
Just a little over a month before I get to see her in NYC. So psyched to see her live. I'm a "vintage" fan like yourself, and I haven't been to a concert since I saw McCartney in the 80's. Seems about right since they're both brilliant songwriters.
It happens Quiet gets you every time, I feel the same about Infections of a Different Kind, especially this performance - in the second chorus where she is reaching out trying to grasp that feeling of just being okay for a while, it catches at my soul. This is the third time I have watched this documentary and I could keep on watching it. You will have to do the Live at Nidarosdomen too. Here, she is a forest elf, at Nidarosdomen Cathedral, she is pure angel.
Short backstory on Christine - the host. She worked in norways biggest radio station, and have had several artists on her show, including Aurora. Christines show was mostly focused on up and coming norwegian artists, but norwegian music from both new and established artists. Some of the videos of Aurora that is on P3 Live, is on Christines show. If I remember correctly she does some coversongs on her show.
This is a must see concert for anyone.... absolutely fantastic. That surprise choir though.... and she immediately interacted and changed things up. True artist
I love the contrast of her fans meeting her for a private concert, and the the role reversal: Aurora is the excited star struck fan meeting one of her own heroes. Her reaction is not so unlike the girls who met her. Also throughout the complexities of Auroras sage like wisdom, as if she's lived a thousand years, balanced alongside her childlike playfulness is just so endearing. What an amazing person (yet somehow the word person seems cheap when referring to Aurora, I want to say being or creature, as like she's something more than just a person). There is just something so special about her. A gift to us. Especially considering Aurora, grew up privileged, she has great parents who provided a comfortable life, they are certainly not poor, nor she neglected. Yet somehow through her empathy she is able to understand all this pain, hurt and suffering we humans experience and write so deeply that you might believe she had a terrible young life.
I'm glad you decided to do the whole documentary than concert. This is supposed to be for her and yet she sings the concert but that is what she likes the closeness of the audience and a small one so it is a present for her. I'm at the stage where Ane just finished playing in the hallway. I like to see her in a natural state all quirky and sweet. If you want to get a good laugh look up best of Aurora weird, cute and funny. Peace out and God bless
Her live content is so dynamic and heart felt, and fills her up when she performs, but when she got into the woods I feel like she grew 2 sizes and filled up again with nature as well. She’s like a shaman guiding us through the world with music, leading us to accepting ourselves and finding a community that will appreciate the human being living inside our skin.
The name of the forrest where the concert was, is "Lysekloster" - monestary of light, which is not far from what Aurora herselves is - "a monestary of light". Thanks for the reaction. And yes, Silja Sol´s ( that is translated "silver sun" ) vocals are macic. She got som interesting music of her own.
Thanks for reacting to this! :) It's right before I'm about to sleep, and I'm going to watch part of this before I do. It'll be nice to see someone else's thoughts and experience with watching this documentary.
Wonderfull reaction Larry ! Christine knows Aurora from before trough several wisits in her Nrk P3 radio talkshows. Some of those programs has been filmed, and have a rutine where the artists perform one of their own made songs and so given an hour to make a cover of a song that is unknown. Several of Auroras now famus covers has their orgin as a "challenge" in Christinas show. The latest is Bony M`s "Rasputin"
this concert is so awesome. thank you for playing it I cry every time I watch it. and I love your reaction bless you and thank you. like I've said many times before She brings out the tears of me every time.
That was awesome that you did the whole documentary and concert! And you are right, the couple are her parents. That girl isn’t her sister, not sure who that was. I’m super excited to go to her concert here in LA in November, really cannot wait.
I always love your reactions of Aurora, cause you really get her🥰 I’ve watched this show so many times I can’t count 😅🥰 In my opinion there’s no artist like Aurora, she’s amazing in every way 😍 When an artist release an album, there will always be some songs you don’t like that much. But Aurora doesn’t make bad music, every song she has written has amazing lyrics and melodies. And the way she perform, it’s so captivated 😍 I’m so proud to come from the same place as her, and I’ve been in this forest, where the concert was held, I’ve been there many times. The area around is also beautiful. I even went to the same school as her, not in the same years of course 😅 My sister is friends with her sister and her husband 🥰 Have you watched the concert from 2020 at Lille Ole Bull? It’s a cute and intimate concert, and Aurora is so happy, and she gets distracted by the audience 😅 It’s “just” Aurora with the piano , and it’s only 3 songs.❤️ To think that she’s self taught in everything except for dancing, that’s freaking amazing, I love it 👏👏

What a joy to wake up to this and have my 1st cry of the day. So glad you watched this whole concert, it will help you see and experience Aurora differently from now on. I think someone else noted that she has indeed lost some of her shyness, but not her humbleness. I love seeing how she connects with her fans, she doesn't shy away from eye contact, and in this you see often how touched she is by her fans reacting to her.
Yes!... Daydreamer is one of my favourites! She has lots of hope-filled, feel good, inspiring ones too! Can't believe you did the whole thing! But thank you for that! I have watched it so many times and its never old. I too wish I was there! You feel so good after this, right?

Regarding the quality of preformance/sound. You can place the best vocalist in the world in those woods, but he/she would not sound fantastic without a tv crew / sound crew that are able to catch the preformance and "transform" it to the tv/audio..... NRK are FANTASTIC with these things.... I don't know if they had to fix anything in afterwards, 1 take in the woods, I will asume something went wrong..... You will find stuff of Aurora that not sound good... when the soundlevels are wrong, or the mic used dont catch all, or too much....... My point is: shoutout to the crew!!! 😁
What a Great Reaction!!! I haven't watched this one in a bit!!!!! Brought back all of the good memories!! NEXT..... Live at KEXP in Iceland!!!! Thanks Larry!!!
I’m so torn between watching aurora or watching you! The joy on your face is infectious! I have a smile from ear to ear ☺️ this is a beautiful concert! Her vocals and the harmonies give me chills! Wow! How amazing must it have been to be there! Cwtch to you my friend! Sandra x
So glad you enjoyed this recording of Aurora's special day. I have watched it at least five times and it never fails to astound me. Everything this petite powerhouse does is stunning. An Aurora song is one of the best lectures on life that you can get. She is totally genuine at all times, whether the performance is Aurora alone in her bedroom (you should check out some of her streams that have been put on TH-cam by some fans), in a studio, before two fans or hundreds in a concert, the intensity, gestures etc are always there. Also check out some of her interviews where she ranges from serious to cheeky, very funny and even quite risque at times but always compelling thanks to her pure charisma.
In my experience of watching Aurora videos, the more intimate the setting the better she is. Its like all the emotions she is sharing now has to be absorbed by fewer people and its overwhelming. Keep in mind, the 3 musicians she is playing with for her 2 fans she just met and has never performed with her before. Maybe an hour of practice and they produce that masterpiece.
You can just start at the top and listen to every song she has written. They are all from very good to ……… and all so different. She is without doubt one of the most talented artists around - - Period! :-)
Great, you did the whole thing, not only the concert, good choice :) ... Gonna watch that this evening (currently at work, but shhh, don't tell anyone :P)
Loved your reactions. I can see that Aurora is like a magnet for nice people. And I also think and hope that she is able take out the good from all who encounters her art
How she is able to fall in trance with herself... Thats why we all love her I think, in front of she absolutely knows how to use her voice! Just loved it as I was able too, maybe my age was 22, 23 or 24, but just for 1 and a half year. In additionall I was able to steer my dreams wherever I want. Theese short times was nearly the best time of my life till now! Since I had this incredible experience at my self, I know humans are able to fall in trance by themself to endure the dentist, maybe operations or such things that hurt! Im sure, AURORA is able to do this while she is singing, every time and every where! She is just enviable, I rly hope she is able to handle it!
I believe this forest was the forest she spent time in as a child. The person they show several times is a fan/friend. I didn't see Viktoria or Miranda in the audience, but there are some Aurora videos that include one or more of her sisters.
Hi there, I totally agree with you regarding how this was put together...... absolutely fabulous. I have had to reach for a tissue two or three times to wipe away my happy tears. Aurora's face was a real picture as these surprises unfolded. What a special person she is..... A Real Star. Thanks for doing this. Take care. 😄

@@jamesreese4170 So well said. I am not a believer, but absolutely love your sentiment. Well done!
@@tammysquire6992 Yes, it seems to merely ask us to be the best we can be for others, and doing so because we have the innate ability to be that. While admonishing us for the things we have done that have made the world less joyous.
And now she's about to release The Gods We Can Touch. She's a genius❤️
Christine is known for hosting music shows on NRK radio, in which Aurora has been a guest several times so i guess that's what she meant by seeing her again.
at 1:18:10 she said: "dont...dont forget to dream big then. That is very important!"
The untranslated Norwegian. ‘Don’t forget to dream big … it’s very important!’
SO many people discovering this wonderful documentary! I watched this a while back and not many views, now Holy Cow! Good for You! You really get her!
So nice that you took a look at it here. For me personally the most beautiful documentary for an artist I have ever seen.
There is another documentary of her, the tears will come to you and not with joy.
Aurora - Once
Shows the dark side of her early career. You just want to protect the girl from the world. An introverted girl who is completely overwhelmed to go out into the world. The immense pressure that weighs on her and what it did to her back then until she found a way for herself.
Thanks Coyote! Wonderful to see you here again!
@@larryshair Aurora has visited Christine's radio show so many times ever since she was 17 in 2014, just 2 month after she was really "discovered" in Norway.

Thank you Royer! That truly means a lot to me!

I really recommend All is soft inside (Live on KEXP), th-cam.com/video/IS2iVcGz_Ok/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=KEXP. Same concert she did Churchyard, which you reacted to earlier.
Yess. Next stop is Nidarosdomen concert (highly recommend)
Thanks for the reaction, as a Norwegian I'm humbled. Aurora is really a national treasure! She brings people together!
Thank you so much!
I have watched this alone and with other reviewers at least 20 times. It never gets old.
This good she is great
Papa and Mama Asknes! in 1:00:18, and I was trying to point them out before, but I get so blown away with this HAIK hike that I'm not able to click right, well, I kinda got my shit together and I did it at last......so yes.......these two, and you can see, a loving couple right there, exuding love for the beautiful creature they brought to this world to us yes they're the ones to blame! I love them for giving life to Aurora, the Queen of Queendom, she's absolutely adorable! Holy holy I made it!! Soy lo maximo!!
Getting ready to experience with you. You're enthusiasm is contagious.
Thanks Unc! Good to see you again!
That moment the choir unveils and she immediately switches to include them, just brilliant. And what a performance!
So glad you could experience this wonderful look into Aurora. This day in her life reveals all that she is on the inside and what effect she has made to so many others. First class documentary ....as well as a first class reaction!
I particularly love all the moments in the lead up to the concert where she looks at things with so much wonder.
Right? I loved that part of the video! It gave such a nice back story of the events! I am SO glad that I did that version : ) Blessings!
I love you reaction to this concert and to Aurora. I recognize your expression through out this Aurora journey, they are very similar to what I feel when I see and hear her. She is my all time favorite and I need find a ticket for one of her shows.
She is so tiny, but wow so mighty! 💪🎶
Love her lyrics and everything about her. Also loved to watch this with you. You react to this just as I did first time. It is a masterpeace of a production too.. 🤗
Thank you GW! It was so well put together. What a wonderful tribute.
Thanks Sapphos! Good to see you again and glad you enjoyed it right along side of me :)
What a magical concert. In the introduction to “Daydreaming” Aurora said to her fans that they should dream big things and it’s important.
she says in the end there: Dont forget to have big dreams......
You are maybe not used to wood like that in California, since you really have to be north of Seattle to have something similar, but it come with lots and lots of rain. Bergen is well now in and outside Norway for being very rainy. A standard joke is:
- A man arrived at the Bergen train station and when he got of the rain there was heavy rain
so he ask a boy at the station if it was always like this. The boy answered the he did not now, since he was only seven.
Too funny!
You are honestly so incredible, sir! everytime i watch your videos i react the same way you do, and think the same way you think especially with your Aurora videos. I believe this is the beauty of her songs, being able to connect with each other despite the difference in generation, race, etc. Thank you, this video was such a blast to watch
Thank you so much for your kind words! Great minds think alike :)
She said Don`t forget to dream big it`s important!
Thank you :)
Yes!! Great surprise to come home from work to! Been learning Norwegian for a while now too, glad to see I can pick up some of the words they're saying now, gotta keep on that duolingo grind. Jeg elsker Aurora!
I love watching some of her interviews as well as listening to her music.
Be well.
Had to break the work to see this...
Something they didnt caption was that she had been to museum before.
At a rave party.
Very cool!
Loved the reaction! Thanks!😊
You are so very kind, Duff. Good to hear of the softening heart, bud. Just remember there is a God in heaven that is crazy about you!
Just a little over a month before I get to see her in NYC. So psyched to see her live. I'm a "vintage" fan like yourself, and I haven't been to a concert since I saw McCartney in the 80's. Seems about right since they're both brilliant songwriters.
Really enjoyed watching this with you as she is so an excellent example of what a human should be
Agreed!
Fantastic. I'm so glad you shared this with us - warriors.
Glad you enjoyed it! I am now a fellow warrior!!!
True artist
Absolutely incredible.
Very well said, Jim!
She's an angel.
And she has wings.
A member of the Royal Air Force.
Christine is the host of the program Christine on P3, where Aurora has performed live many times.
Thanks you for reacting this
also loved watching this with you
I'm glad you decided to do the whole documentary than concert.
Did you really watch the whole concert ? wow. You are a true Aurora-fan. And also this concert is amazing.
I am captive. I have no choice but to be drawn into her content :)
It’s impossible not to watch the whole concert, it’s Aurora 😉🥰
She’s amazing ❤️
The name of the forrest where the concert was, is "Lysekloster" - monestary of light, which is not far from what Aurora herselves is - "a monestary of light". Thanks for the reaction. And yes, Silja Sol´s ( that is translated "silver sun" ) vocals are macic. She got som interesting music of her own.
Thanks for reacting to this! :)
It's right before I'm about to sleep, and I'm going to watch part of this before I do.

I always love your reactions of Aurora, cause you really get her🥰
I’ve watched this show so many times I can’t count 😅🥰
In my opinion there’s no artist like Aurora, she’s amazing in every way 😍
When an artist release an album, there will always be some songs you don’t like that much.
But Aurora doesn’t make bad music, every song she has written has amazing lyrics and melodies.
And the way she perform, it’s so captivated 😍
I’m so proud to come from the same place as her, and I’ve been in this forest, where the concert was held, I’ve been there many times.
The area around is also beautiful.
I even went to the same school as her, not in the same years of course 😅
My sister is friends with her sister and her husband 🥰
Have you watched the concert from 2020 at Lille Ole Bull?
It’s a cute and intimate concert, and Aurora is so happy, and she gets distracted by the audience 😅
It’s “just” Aurora with the piano , and it’s only 3 songs.❤️

What a joy to wake up to this and have my 1st cry of the day. So glad you watched this whole concert, it will help you see and experience Aurora differently from now on. I think someone else noted that she has indeed lost some of her shyness, but not her humbleness. I love seeing how she connects with her fans, she doesn't shy away from eye contact, and in this you see often how touched she is by her fans reacting to her.
Agreed, Jim!
There are still A LOT of great songs for you hear from Aurora. Keep going before her new album comes out.

One of the greatest performances I have ever ever seen...simple as that.
It's so good!

Reliving the HAIK Concert with you has been an emotional and uplifting experience. Thank you so much! 🙏
That was great. I am already watching the second time.
Still my favorite version of Warrior. Love how she changed what usually is a power anthem into a gentle hug for her fans.
You can just start at the top and listen to every song she has written. They are all from very good to ……… and all so different. She is without doubt one of the most talented artists around - - Period! :-)
What a sweet reaction. Wellcome to Warriors and Weirdos sir.
I'm currently at work, but looking forward to watch this when I get home 😊👍
Aurora is like a magical creature! I find her mesmerising and contagious!!
Great, you did the whole thing, not only the concert, good choice :) ... Gonna watch that this evening (currently at work, but shhh, don't tell anyone :P)
Nice!
I didn't watch this when it was on tv because I'm not a big fan of Aurora, but your enthusiasm draws me in.
I like her song Exist for love.
Thank you so much, Nuttegull!
I believe this forest was the forest she spent time in as a child. The person they show several times is a fan/friend. I didn't see Viktoria or Miranda in the audience, but there are some Aurora videos that include one or more of her sisters.
Thank you Anon for the back story. I love them!
Hi there, I totally agree with you regarding how this was put together...... absolutely fabulous.
