What did you think of Edzná? Also, let us know if you liked that we included the explanations from the actual guide! Is this something you'd like to see more of in the future? Or do you prefer to hear it from us?
It’s surprising that these buildings are preserved in such a good condition despite the years. Buildings full of history! Reminding us how developed the Mayan culture was!
They are incredible! They have been restored though.. we were kind if shocked to learn that, but they have restored them to make them look like they used too. We went to another Mayan ruin called Coba, and they haven't restored the buildings, and they look super different!
So cool right!? We loved it so much and the guide made it so much better! :) And OMG that ice cream was one of the worst things I've ever tried! G was too nice describing it LOL it was the only thing we didn't like about Campeche 😂 Take care and have a great week!
@@waysoftheworld_ Yes. I've seen quite a few Maya sites. Chichen Itza, Ek Balam. Tikal..Guatemala. Lamanai..Belize. All amazing. Fascinating ancient history. Love it.
This is on my list. I don’t speak Spanish and how did you know which colectivo goes to Edina? Im travelling solo btw and I’m afraid the colectivo won’t leave if I was the only one heading to the ruin. 😢
You can just say "Edzna" and they'll put you in the correct colectivo. There may also be some other tourists, which would be a good sign. The colectivo makes many stops along the way before turning around at Edzna, most passengers are local and won't be heading to the ruins, but it doesn't matter...

@@waysoftheworld_ good to know. Thanks for your input! :)
Did it really have cheese? I tried Queso Helado in Oaxaca (I think), no actual "cheese" involved. Interesting.
Edit - queso helado = Arequipa, Perú
We promise it was actually Gouda cheese. And we didn't like it at all 🙈
cheese ice cream was the only thing I didn't like about Campeche
😂
